Toronto Raptors Score Bug 2026: Sportsnet Broadcast Review and Grade

Sportsnet handles the local broadcast for the Toronto Raptors in Canada, and the 2026 scorebug is a strong piece of design work. Canadian networks tend to put more care into their on-screen graphics packages than a lot of their American counterparts, and the Raptors broadcast is a good example of that. The scorebug is clean, modern, and feels like it was built with intention rather than just plugged into a network-wide template.

The layout gives you everything you need without making you search for it. Team logos, abbreviations, the score, quarter, and game clock are all positioned clearly and easy to read at a glance. The Raptors red and black color scheme works well in the design, creating enough contrast to keep everything legible without feeling too heavy or dark. The proportions are balanced, and the bug does not take up more screen space than it needs to.

What stands out about the Sportsnet approach is the level of polish across the entire broadcast, not just the scorebug. The transitions, stat graphics, and lower thirds all feel like they belong together. That kind of cohesive broadcast package makes a big difference when you are watching a full game. It is something you notice more when it is missing than when it is there, and Sportsnet gets it right.

There is not a lot to criticize here. If we had to nitpick, the red and black palette is shared with a handful of other NBA teams, so the scorebug does not immediately scream Toronto or Raptors at first glance. But the logo does enough to establish identity, and the overall execution is strong enough to make up for it.

Our Grade: B+

The Raptors Sportsnet scorebug earns a B+ for 2026. Sportsnet continues to be one of the better networks for broadcast graphics, and the Raptors scorebug reflects that standard.
