The Washington Wizards went through a full rebrand heading into the 2026 season, and the new look has carried over into their local broadcast graphics in a big way. The scorebug has a modern shape and color treatment that feels fresh and intentional. It is one of those cases where a team rebrand actually improves everything downstream, including the broadcast design.
The shape of the scorebug itself is what catches your eye first. It has a more contemporary silhouette than a lot of the standard rectangular scorebugs around the league. The navy blue and red color scheme from the new Wizards brand works well on screen, creating strong contrast that makes the score and game information easy to read. The team logos are integrated cleanly, and the typography feels modern without trying too hard to be trendy.
What we like about this scorebug is how well it reflects the overall direction of the Wizards rebrand. When a team overhauls their visual identity, you want to see that carry through to every touchpoint, and the broadcast graphics are one of the most visible ones. The colors, the shapes, and the overall feel of this scorebug all connect back to the new brand in a way that feels cohesive. A lot of teams rebrand their jerseys and court but leave the broadcast graphics looking disconnected.
The game clock, quarter, and score are all positioned cleanly and do not compete with each other for attention. The layout is well-balanced and does not take up too much screen space. It stays out of the way while still giving you all the information you need.
