Adidas went big for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Alongside the retro trefoil away kits we already ranked, the three stripes also dropped home kits for every one of their national teams heading into the tournament. Some of these are all-time great World Cup jersey designs. Others are completely forgettable.
We ranked all 23 Adidas home kits from worst to first. Italy was excluded since they did not qualify for the 2026 World Cup, and Curacao's home kit has not been officially released yet.

23. Qatar 2026 World Cup Home Kit: D+
Photo: Adidas
There's not much going on here. The maroon base with a subtle pattern down the center is fine, but it looks more like a training top than a World Cup kit. Qatar hosted the last World Cup and this is what they came up with for the next one. The white accents are clean enough, but the overall design just doesn't have any personality. Easily the weakest Adidas home kit in the 2026 batch.
22. UAE 2026 World Cup Home Kit: C
Photo: Adidas
The white base with maroon accents is clean, but it doesn't really look like a soccer jersey. It looks more like a cricket kit or a polo shirt. The subtle geometric pattern on the shoulders gives it a little texture, but there's not enough going on to make this feel like a proper World Cup home kit. Not bad, just not memorable.
21. Northern Ireland 2026 World Cup Home Kit: C
Photo: Adidas
This one is really boring. The two-tone green gradient thing they did here doesn't work for us. It looks washed out and flat. Northern Ireland has worn green forever, and there are plenty of ways to make a green kit interesting. This isn't one of them. The crest is nice, but that's about all we can say.
20. Scotland 2026 World Cup Home Kit: C+
Photo: Adidas
The navy blue with the subtle tartan-style pattern is fine. It's a Scotland kit, it looks like a Scotland kit. But that's about it. There's nothing here that makes you look twice. The crest pops against the dark base, and the white collar trim is clean, but we've seen this exact idea from Scotland too many times.
19. Chile 2026 World Cup Home Kit: C+
Photo: Adidas
Chile's red home kit has a subtle chevron pattern that's hard to see unless you're up close. The blue v-neck collar and sleeve cuffs add some contrast, but the overall design is pretty boring for a team that wears one of the most recognizable colors in international soccer. We expected more from this one.
18. Peru 2026 World Cup Home Kit: C+
Photo: Adidas
The iconic diagonal sash is there, and it's always going to look good on Peru's World Cup jersey. But this version doesn't hit the same way as some of Peru's older home kits. The pattern inside the sash is a nice touch, and the white base keeps it clean. We like the stripe, but something about this particular execution feels a little off. Still a decent kit overall.
17. Sweden 2026 World Cup Home Kit: B-
Photo: Adidas
Yellow and blue, same as always for Sweden. The subtle pattern across the front gives it a little texture, and the blue shoulders with white stripes are a nice touch. But it looks way too similar to Ukraine's kit, and we've seen Sweden do this exact color combo in more interesting ways before. Solid but not exciting.
16. Spain 2026 World Cup Home Kit: B-
Photo: Adidas
We like Spain's 2026 World Cup home kit, we just don't love it. The red base with gold pinstripes and navy blue shoulders is a clean look. But Spain has had some legendary home kits over the years, and this one doesn't quite reach that level. The gold detailing is a nice touch, and it will look good on the pitch this summer. It just doesn't blow us away.
15. South Africa 2026 World Cup Home Kit: B-
Photo: Adidas
This one looks like Brazil's kit, but it's not as good. The yellow base with green accents is a classic South Africa color combo, but the execution here is a little plain. It gets the job done, but compared to what some of the other Adidas teams in this batch are working with, South Africa's home jersey doesn't stand out enough.
14. Saudi Arabia 2026 World Cup Home Kit: B-
Photo: Adidas
We actually like the blue on this one. The green geometric pattern with the blue diamond accents is more interesting than we expected from Saudi Arabia's World Cup jersey. The overall design has some depth to it. But the color scheme is unusual for a traditional home kit, and it doesn't quite feel like what you'd expect. Still, it's a solid effort from Adidas.
13. Mexico 2026 World Cup Home Kit: B-
Photo: Adidas
The Aztec calendar design covering the entire front of Mexico's 2026 World Cup home kit is bold. We like that they went for it. But the overall jersey just doesn't come together the way we wanted it to. The green-on-green pattern is hard to see from a distance, and the red collar and cuff accents feel like an afterthought. Mexico has had some incredible home kits in World Cup history. This one is fine, but it's not one of the greats.
12. Japan 2026 World Cup Home Kit: B-
Photo: Adidas
Japan always brings interesting designs to their World Cup kits, and the radiating lines from the crest are a cool concept. The dark navy blue is a strong base color. But we like brighter colors on soccer kits, and this one is just too dark and subdued for our taste. The design itself is well done, it's just not our style.
11. Venezuela 2026 World Cup Home Kit: B
Photo: Adidas
We like the color on this one. The deep burgundy with the geometric triangle pattern is a look that's different from anything else in the Adidas 2026 World Cup batch. The gold and blue shoulder stripes add just enough contrast without being too busy. It's not going to top any best-of lists, but it's a solid, well-designed home kit with personality.
10. Ukraine 2026 World Cup Home Kit: B
Photo: Adidas
Very similar vibe to Sweden's kit, but cleaner. The yellow base with blue accents and the intricate floral pattern across the front give Ukraine's 2026 World Cup home jersey more detail than Sweden's version. The pattern is actually really well done when you look at it up close. Ukraine gets the edge over Sweden for us because the pattern has more character.
9. Hungary 2026 World Cup Home Kit: B
Photo: Adidas
The dark maroon is a strong color, and the kit is clean. The dual crests are a nice detail, and the white shoulder stripes keep it simple. It's not going to wow anyone, but it's a well-put-together jersey that doesn't try to do too much. Sometimes less is more, and Hungary pulls that off here.
8. Greece 2026 World Cup Home Kit: B
Photo: Adidas
We like this one, we just don't love it. Greece has never been known for flashy World Cup kits, and this one stays in that lane. The white base with blue collar and shoulder stripes is clean and classic. The design is simple and the colors work, but it doesn't push the envelope at all. It's a solid, respectable Adidas home kit that does its job.
7. Algeria 2026 World Cup Home Kit: B
Photo: Adidas
Algeria's white home kit with the green and red trim is actually pretty nice. The subtle vertical panel design down the center adds some texture, and the green stripes on the shoulders are clean. The Algerian crest with the crescent and star looks great against the white base. This is a well-balanced World Cup jersey that doesn't try to do too much.
6. Wales 2026 World Cup Home Kit: B+
Photo: Adidas
We like that this one is different and unique. The red base with the horizontal stripes across the chest is a look you don't see on many international soccer kits. The green and white accents give it a distinct Welsh identity, and the dragon crest pops in the center. Wales took a chance here and it paid off. This is a 2026 World Cup kit with real personality.
5. Costa Rica 2026 World Cup Home Kit: B+
Photo: Adidas
That red and purple swirl pattern is wild. Costa Rica came to play. The design is loud, bold, and completely different from anything else in the Adidas 2026 World Cup batch. The white shoulder stripes and navy collar keep it grounded, but the pattern is the star here. Costa Rica always brings energy to their kits, and this home jersey delivers.
4. Germany 2026 World Cup Home Kit: B+
Photo: Adidas
The design on this Germany kit is very cool. The retro chevron pattern with the black, red, and gold is a callback to some of Germany's most iconic World Cup kits from the late 80s and early 90s. It's a little bit off in terms of overall execution, which keeps it from being higher, but the concept alone puts it near the top. One of the best ideas in the entire 2026 Adidas batch.
3. Colombia 2026 World Cup Home Kit: A
Photo: Adidas
Colombia's yellow home kit is one of the best in this entire Adidas 2026 World Cup batch. The floral pattern across the front is subtle but beautiful, and the red shoulder stripes with the blue collar and cuffs tie together all three colors of the Colombian flag. This kit just looks right. It's warm, it's vibrant, and it's going to look incredible on the World Cup stage this summer. One of our favorites.
2. Belgium 2026 World Cup Home Kit: A
Photo: Adidas
Belgium's 2026 World Cup home kit is really nice. The deep red base with the gold accents and black collar is premium. The subtle pattern across the front gives it texture without being too busy. The gold Adidas logo and crest detailing make this feel like a kit built for a team that expects to compete for a World Cup title. Everything about this one just works.
1. Argentina 2026 World Cup Home Kit: A
Photo: Adidas
Classic Argentina. The light blue and white vertical stripes are one of the most iconic looks in all of soccer, and this 2026 World Cup version nails it. The navy blue collar and cuffs, the gold FIFA badge, the clean lines. Argentina doesn't need to reinvent the wheel, and they didn't. This is exactly what a World Cup home kit should look like. It's timeless, it's clean, and it's our number one Adidas kit for 2026.
