Night 2 of the 2026 NBA Play-In Tournament delivered two very different visual aesthetics. The Sixers brought out their cream-colored throwbacks at home against the Magic, and the Clippers went dark blue at Intuit Dome against a Warriors team in full white. Both games delivered, but both left a little aesthetic value on the table. Here is our uniform-by-uniform breakdown with grades for each matchup.
Orlando Magic at Philadelphia 76ers: Grade B
via NBA broadcast
The Sixers broke out the cream throwbacks at home, which is a look that has carried a ton of visual equity in Philadelphia for years. The retro 76ers floor logo at Xfinity Mobile Arena made it feel like a real playoff atmosphere, and the cream jerseys pop against the hardwood in a way the standard Association whites never quite do.
That said, we would have preferred to see a true color-on-color matchup here. The Magic have one of the cleanest blue uniforms in the NBA, and pairing them against a white Sixers home set would have looked cleaner on broadcast. If the Sixers were going to go throwback, we also would have loved to see them in their white throwback variant instead of the cream to give the game a bit more contrast.
Final grade for the Magic at Sixers aesthetic: B. The throwbacks saved this one, but the opportunity for a cleaner visual was right there.
Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Clippers: Grade B
via NBA broadcast
This one actually looked better than we expected. Intuit Dome has a dark blue base built into the court and the arena signage, and the Clippers' dark blue uniform leaned into that color story instead of fighting it. The entire broadcast had a blue-heavy palette that felt cohesive, which is not something we say about a lot of Clippers games.

The Warriors' white uniforms also looked nicer than usual, though our preference would have been flipped. Golden State in their royal blue with Clippers in clean white is the matchup we would have booked. That's the cleaner, more traditional playoff aesthetic, and it gives each team their strongest identity piece.
Final grade for the Warriors at Clippers aesthetic: B. Better than expected, but we still wanted the inverted color assignment.
Night 2 Play-In Jersey Aesthetic Grade
Play-In Night 2 Overall Grade
B
Magic at Sixers: B · Warriors at Clippers: B
Both games delivered B-level uniform aesthetics. Neither fully optimized. The Sixers leaned on their throwback equity and the Clippers leaned into their arena's color story, but both games could have been bumped up with cleaner color-on-color or white-at-home decisions. Still a better-looking Play-In night than Night 1, where only one of four home teams got it right.
