If you came here to find out what an NFL team is wearing tonight, that is exactly what this page is for.
Baseball has a jersey. Football has a combination. A team can wear the same jersey three weeks running and look like three different teams depending on the helmet and the pants underneath it, and nobody keeps a proper record of it. So we are keeping it: what all 32 teams actually wear, game by game, all season, with a grade on every matchup.
Week 2 is here. It opens on Thursday, September 17, with Detroit at Buffalo, runs fourteen games on Sunday, and closes with the Giants at the Rams on Monday night. Every Week 2 card sits at the top of the page with the look we expect from each team, marked confirmed or projected, and switches to what was actually worn once the game is played. All 16 Week 1 games are logged and graded underneath.
How This Works
Every game gets its own entry with both teams. Each team shows three bars, labelled helmet, jersey and pants, because that is how a football uniform is actually built and because the interesting decisions live in the pants. Monochrome, white over white, colour over colour, a throwback shell under a modern jersey: none of that shows up if you only record "they wore navy."
From Week 1 onward, every game that kicks off gets three things. We log the actual combination and the bars update to match it. We add the team's own post showing the uniform, so you can see it rather than take our word for it. And we grade the matchup, because two good uniforms can still make an ugly game to look at, and that is worth saying.
Until a game is played, every card reads Not yet worn. That label is doing real work: nothing on a card counts as worn until we have seen it.
The newest games sit at the top, the same way our MLB uniform tracker runs, and the preseason is archived underneath the regular season.
Before kickoff, a card shows the look we expect. Confirmed means the team has announced the full combination, Jersey confirmed means the jersey is announced and the helmet and pants are our read, and Projected is our read from that team's uniform schedule. Once the game is played the icons are replaced with the real combination. We do not backfill a combination from a photo we cannot verify.
Week 2: 16 Games From Thursday to Monday
Week 2 opens on Thursday, September 17, with Detroit at Buffalo in the first regular-season game at the new Highmark Stadium, plays fourteen games on Sunday, and closes with the Giants at the Rams on Monday night. Newest games first. Before kickoff each card shows the look we expect: Confirmed means the team has announced the full combination, Jersey confirmed means the jersey is announced and the helmet and pants are our read, and Projected is our read from that team's uniform schedule. Every card reads Not yet worn until the game is played, then we log what was actually worn and grade the matchup.

Detroit Lions at Buffalo Bills
Detroit went white on white, the road look its own fans call the Marshmallows, under the silver helmet: the team listed it as white jerseys, white pants and white socks. Buffalo opened the new Highmark Stadium in the blue primary with white pants and a 2026 inaugural season patch, in front of the red end zones Bills Mafia voted in. Buffalo won 41-31. We grade the matchup an A-: all white against Buffalo's royal blue is about as clean as a road look gets, and the red end zones made the first night in the new building pop.

Week 1: 16 Games Across Four Nights
The regular season opens on a Wednesday for the first time since 2012, with New England at Seattle on September 9, then sends the 49ers and Rams to Melbourne on Thursday, plays thirteen games on Sunday, and closes with Denver at Kansas City on Monday night. Newest games first. Every card reads Not yet worn until the game is played and we log the real combination.
Monday, September 14
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs
Denver wore white helmet, white jersey, white pants at Arrowhead, the full monochrome road set under the white shell the Broncos confirmed for the opener, and Kansas City went red helmet, red jersey, white pants, the home look that has barely changed in sixty years. It is the simplest color split of Week 1: one team entirely white, the other in solid red over white, so every snap reads instantly on a Monday night broadcast, even if Denver's all-white leaves the orange trim doing all the work. Kansas City won 31-10.

Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants
Sunday night closed Week 1 with the oldest look in the division. New York wore royal blue helmet, royal blue jersey, white pants, the primary home set with the red and blue leg stripe, and Dallas came in silver helmet, white jersey, silver-green pants, the road combination the Cowboys have barely touched in sixty years. It is the pairing that makes the case for restraint: two teams whose identities are a single colour and a metallic, no third colour on either side, and the only thing separating them at distance is royal against white. Under the MetLife lights the Cowboys' silver-green reads warmer than the Giants' pure white pants, which is the whole reason that shade exists. Confirmed from the game frames; New York won 28-20.

Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia wore midnight green helmet, midnight green jersey, white pants at Lincoln Financial Field, the primary home set, and Washington came in burgundy helmet, white jersey, white pants, the white-over-white road look with the burgundy and gold striping doing the colour work. Midnight green against burgundy is a divisional pairing that works because the two colours are dark in different directions, one cool and one warm, and the white pants on both sides keep the picture from going muddy. Washington's white over white is the better of their road combinations; the burgundy pants would have dragged the whole thing toward the ground. Confirmed from the game frames; Philadelphia won 24-22.

Miami Dolphins at Las Vegas Raiders
Las Vegas opened at home in silver helmet, black jersey, silver pants, the look that has not changed in any way that matters since the 1960s, and Miami came in white helmet, white jersey, white pants, the all-white road set with the aqua and orange living in the numbers, the stripes and the helmet logo. Silver and black against white with aqua trim is one of the cleaner pairings the schedule produces: the Raiders read as a single dark block with silver at the top and bottom, and the Dolphins read as almost nothing but white, so every bit of aqua on the field is theirs. Logged from the two schedule posts; we check the frames after the final and correct anything the photos disagree with. Las Vegas won 27-13.

Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota opened at home in the throwback: purple helmet, classic purple jersey, white pants, the 1970s-register look with the plain block numbers and the old horn, exactly what their schedule post had pencilled in as the Classic for the opener. Green Bay came in gold helmet, white jersey, gold pants, the standard road set, which is as close to unchanged as any uniform in the league gets. The two have been playing each other in roughly these colours for sixty years and it still works: purple over white against white between two gold bands, with nothing shared but the white, and the throwback jersey's flatter purple reads better against the Packers' gold than the current set's brighter shade does. Minnesota won 39-22.

Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles wore white helmet, powder blue jersey, white pants at SoFi Stadium, the primary home look, and Arizona went white helmet, white jersey, white pants, the all-white set under the white shell they added in 2023. It is a game of two whites with one colour in it, and that colour is doing all the work: the Chargers' powder blue jersey sits between white above and white below on both sides of the ball, so the broadcast reads as a field of white with a band of blue in the middle of every play. Arizona's all-white is clean but it is also the least distinctive thing they own, and against the Chargers it leaves the cardinal red to the numbers and the helmet logo alone. Arizona won 26-14.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati opened the season the way the schedule promised, in orange helmet, orange jersey, white pants, the Open In Orange look that has become the Week 1 habit at Paycor Stadium. Tampa Bay came in pewter helmet, white jersey, pewter pants, the standard road set. It is a good pairing on the broadcast because nothing overlaps: the Bengals read as one block of orange with the black tiger stripes doing the work on the shell and the shoulders, and the Buccaneers' white between two pewter bands sits far enough from orange that the two sides never blur. The white pants on Cincinnati keep the orange from becoming a wall. Cincinnati won 33-27.

New York Jets at Tennessee Titans
Tennessee opened in white helmet, light blue jersey, white pants, the Columbia blue look that leans on the Oilers lineage, and New York came in green helmet, white jersey, green pants, the white road jersey between two bands of Gotham green. This is one of the prettier pairings on the Week 1 slate. Light blue against green with white in the middle of both is soft on the eye without being washed out, and the Titans' white shell with the light blue and red striping gives the whole picture a throwback register that the navy helmet never does. Logged from the game frames; New York won 23-10.

New Orleans Saints at Detroit Lions
Detroit wore silver helmet, Honolulu blue jersey, Honolulu blue pants at Ford Field, the blue-on-blue look under the silver shell, and New Orleans came in gold helmet, white jersey, black pants, the road set with the black pants rather than gold. On the blue end-zone turf the Lions read as one column of Honolulu blue with silver at the top, and the Saints' gold helmet, white jersey and black pants give three distinct bands that sit far from anything Detroit wears. It is a better pairing than it sounds on paper because gold and Honolulu blue are complementary on the broadcast, and the black pants stop the Saints from washing out against the white lines. Logged from the game frames; Detroit won 31-30.

Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville opened at home in black helmet, teal jersey, white pants, the primary set, and Cleveland came in orange helmet, white jersey, white pants, the all-white road look under the orange shell. This one works because the Browns bring almost no colour below the neck, so the orange helmets are the only warm thing on the field and they pop against the teal every time the two lines meet. Jacksonville's teal over white is the cleanest version of their current set, with the black shell keeping it from reading as a single pastel block. Chicago Bears at Carolina Panthers
Carolina opened at home in black helmet, powder blue jersey, black pants, the Panther blue jersey bracketed in black, and Chicago came in navy helmet, white jersey, white pants, the white road set with the orange and navy stripe down the leg. The black shell and black pants are what make Carolina's version work: the process blue is loud on its own and the black gives it edges. Chicago's white over white keeps everything on the helmet and the stripes, so the two teams never share a colour anywhere on the field, and in a 96-point game there was plenty of time to look. Logged from the game frames; Chicago won 59-37.

Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans
Buffalo wore white helmet, royal blue jersey, royal blue pants at NRG Stadium, the blue-on-blue look their schedule post had down for the opener, with the white shell keeping it from going monochrome. Houston answered in navy helmet, white jersey, white pants, the Liberty White set under the standard navy shell rather than the red helmet their schedule had projected. It is a strong first look for both: the Bills' royal reads as one saturated block with the charging buffalo on white above it, and the Texans' white over white with the navy and red chest striping is their cleanest combination, the one that lets the navy helmet carry the colour. Logged from the game frames; Buffalo won 36-31.

Baltimore Ravens at Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis wore white helmet, royal blue jersey, white pants at Lucas Oil Stadium, the home set with the white shoulder stripes, and Baltimore came in black helmet, white jersey, black pants, exactly the split their schedule post projected. Under the dome lights the Ravens read as two black bands around a white jersey with purple numbers, which is their sharpest road combination, and the Colts' royal over white is the simplest uniform in the league doing what it always does. Nothing overlaps, nothing muddies. Logged from the game frames; Baltimore won 41-23.

Pittsburgh opened at home in black helmet, black jersey, yellow pants, the look that has not needed a rethink in sixty years, and Atlanta came in black helmet, white jersey, white pants, the white road set with the red numbers and the ATLANTA wordmark across the chest. It is a clean matchup because the two palettes barely touch: black and yellow on one side, black and white with red on the other, and the black shells are the only thing shared. The Falcons' white over white is the better version of their road look, the red pops without the black pants weighing it down. Logged from the game frames; Pittsburgh won 20-13.

Frequently Asked Questions
What jerseys are NFL teams wearing tonight?
Every game on this page is logged with the exact helmet, jersey and pants each team wore, added after kickoff. Find tonight's date, then the matchup, and the card shows both teams' combinations.
What are NFL teams wearing in Week 2 of 2026?
Twelve teams have confirmed their full Week 2 look: the Bills in white helmets, royal blue jerseys and white pants for Thursday's opener against Detroit, the Jets White Out against Green Bay, the Packers in gold helmets, green jerseys and gold pants for that same game, the Ravens White Noise against New Orleans, the Cowboys all-white Color Rush against Washington, the Cardinals desert Rivalries uniform against Seattle, the Seahawks in navy helmets, navy jerseys and wolf grey pants for that same game, the Rams Classic Sol debut against the Giants on Monday night, and the Chargers in powder blue with gold pants against Las Vegas, the Falcons in black helmets, red jerseys and white pants against Carolina, the Panthers in silver helmets, white jerseys and white pants for that same game, and the Saints in gold helmets, black jerseys and black pants at Baltimore. Every other game is on the Week 2 cards above with our projection, and each card switches to the real combination after kickoff.
What is the 2026 NFL uniform tracker?
A running log of the helmet, jersey and pants combination every NFL team wears in every game of the 2026 season, with a grade on each matchup. It runs from Week 1 through the Super Bowl, and all 49 preseason games are archived below the regular season.
How do I find what one specific team wore?
Every game has its own heading in the form "Detroit Lions at Cincinnati Bengals," so you can search this page for a team name and see every game they have played and what they wore in each.
When does the 2026 NFL regular season start?
Wednesday, September 9, with New England at Seattle in the NFL Kickoff game, the first Wednesday opener since 2012. Week 1 runs 16 games across four nights and ends with Denver at Kansas City on Monday, September 14.
When does the 2026 NFL preseason start?
Thursday, August 6, with the Hall of Fame Game between Carolina and Arizona in Canton. Preseason Week 1 runs August 13 to 15, Week 2 runs August 20 to 23, and Week 3 runs August 27 to 29.
How many preseason games does each NFL team play in 2026?
Three, except Carolina and Arizona, who play four because they meet in the Hall of Fame Game.
Do NFL teams wear throwbacks in the preseason?
Often, and with far less warning than in the regular season. The preseason is where clubs trial combinations they are considering for real games, and where throwbacks sometimes appear with no announcement at all.
Why do you track pants separately from the jersey?
Because in football the combination is the uniform. The same jersey looks completely different over white pants than over colour pants, and monochrome sets only exist as a pants decision. Logging just the jersey misses most of what changes week to week.
What is a monochrome NFL uniform?
One where the jersey and pants are the same colour, usually with a matching helmet. We flag them on the cards because they are the most divisive look in football. Our full case against them is in Why Monochrome NFL Uniforms Look Bad.
How are the grades decided?
We grade the matchup, not just one team, on a letter scale. Two strong uniforms can still clash badly, and a great look opposite a plain one can flatten the whole broadcast. The grade reflects how the game actually looked.
Where can I see what a baseball team wore last night?
Our MLB uniform tracker does the same thing daily for all 30 clubs, with per-team calendars.
