Every Nashville Predator was named Dolly on Saturday. The Predators debuted their Hometown Remix jerseys against the St. Louis Blues at Bridgestone Arena, and in warmups every player wore DOLLY across the shoulders in place of his own name. The ice had a gold butterfly at center ice, which the team called "a center ice logo fit for the Queen of Country." Nashville won 3-1.

The team's caption rated the jerseys "925/10," a nod to Dolly Parton's "9 to 5."

What the Predators' Hometown Remix Jersey Looks Like

  • Color: navy, with gold numbers outlined in white.
  • Stripes: gold and white bands on the sleeves and the hem, and gold stripes on the navy socks.
  • Crest: the gold sabre-tooth cat on tonal navy filigree embroidery, inspired by the rhinestone stage suits of country music.
  • Details: gold flourishes down the lower sleeves and an iris, Tennessee's state flower, worked into the sleeve design.

DOLLY in Warmups, Real Names in the Game

The DOLLY nameplates were a warmup look. The game highlights show the Predators back in their own names for the game, in the same navy Remix jersey. St. Louis wore its white road jerseys.

The Game

Nashville beat St. Louis 3-1. Steven Stamkos scored on the power play in the Remix jersey, the 248th power-play goal of his career, which moved him past Luc Robitaille into fifth place all time. Ross Colton and Nick Perbix, on an empty net, also scored for Nashville.

Our Grade: A

A. The Remix jersey is one of the best in the set: navy and gold done like a country stage suit, without losing what makes it a Predators sweater. Putting DOLLY on every back and a butterfly on the ice turned a jersey debut into a Nashville event. It only misses an A+ because the DOLLY nameplates did not stay on for the game.
