Every San Francisco Giants Jersey in 2026, Ranked: The Cream Home Wins and the Gigantes Alternate Bombs

ColorWay Sports·

The Giants build their closet on one of the most classic looks in baseball, the cream home uniform with the black-and-orange script, and then surround it with a set of themed home jerseys tied to specific days: Orange Friday, the Tuesday City Connect, and the new Saturday Gigantes alternate. When the anchor is this good, everything else is measured against it, and in 2026 not all of it clears the bar.

Here is every San Francisco Giants jersey and uniform for 2026, ranked worst to first and graded.

5. Gigantes Alternate

ColorWay Sports Grade
D-

The new-for-2026 Gigantes alternate is the one that misses for us, and it misses badly. It is a black-and-orange top with "GIGANTES" across the chest in Candlestick-era lettering, worn on "Fiesta Gigantes Saturdays" to honor the Giants' Latino heritage, which is a great thing to celebrate. The heritage angle is not the problem. The jersey is.

The black base drags the whole thing down, and the only reason it is not a straight F is the cream pants, which at least keep it from becoming a full head-to-toe black uniform. Give this thing black pants too and it would be one of the worst looks in the league. As it stands, it is a black jersey on a franchise that does not need one, and it grades a D-.

4. City Connect

ColorWay Sports Grade
C+

The Giants' City Connect is the black "music" set, a warped, psychedelic white "Giants" script shaded in orange and purple, inspired by the 1960s Fillmore and Haight-Ashbury concert posters, right down to vinyl sound-wave grooves and a tie-dye SF cap. And to answer the question we get a lot: yes, they do still wear it. It shows up on Tuesday home games, and our tracker had it on the field as recently as July 11 against the Rockies.

We will give it this: the concept is genuinely San Francisco, and it commits to the idea instead of slapping a nickname on a black base. But the psychedelic script is a lot to look at and it leans on black again, so it lands at a C+. Points for ambition and sense of place, but it is a Tuesday novelty, not a jersey we would put anywhere near the top of the closet.

3. Orange Alternate

ColorWay Sports Grade
B

The orange alternate is the "Orange Friday" jersey, one of the longest-running uniform traditions in baseball. The bold orange top is unmistakable and gives the Giants a signature pop of color that no other team owns quite the same way, and tying it to Friday home games keeps it feeling like a weekly event.

We like it and grade it a B. It is a fun, traditional look with real history behind it, and Orange Friday is absolutely worth protecting. It just is not quite in the same class as the classic home and road sets ahead of it, an event jersey rather than an everyday great, but a genuinely good one.

2. Road Gray

ColorWay Sports Grade
B+

The road gray reads "San Francisco" across the chest and is exactly what a road uniform should be, clean, traditional, and built to let the home crowd's colors be the star. We actually really like the look of it. The black-and-orange lettering on gray is crisp, the "San Francisco" script carries some civic weight, and the whole thing is understated in the best way.

It grades a B+, a genuinely strong travel set and a step above the themed alternates for us. It does not try to do anything flashy, and on a team with this much visual history, a clean, correct gray is worth more than another gimmick jersey.

1. Home White

ColorWay Sports Grade
A-

The home uniform is the best thing the Giants own, and we really like it. It carries the black-and-orange "Giants" script across the chest and pairs with the black cap and its orange interlocking SF, and the cream tone of the fabric gives it a warm, timeless quality that reads beautifully in the Oracle Park daylight. This is the look every fan pictures when they think of San Francisco baseball, and it is the anchor the entire rotation is built around.

It grades an A-, the top mark in the closet. It is classic without being boring, and the black-and-orange on the soft cream is one of the more distinctive home combinations in the sport. When your everyday uniform is this good, you do not need the gimmicks, and it is a shame a couple of the themed jerseys drift so far from what makes this one work.

The Bottom Line on the Giants Jersey Rankings

The Giants closet is a story of a great anchor and some shaky experiments around it. The cream home uniform is a genuine classic and grades an A-, the "San Francisco" road gray is a clean, underrated B+ that we really like, and Orange Friday remains a fun, tradition-rich B. That top three is a strong, distinctly San Francisco core.

Where it slips is the black jerseys. The Tuesday City Connect is an ambitious but busy C+, and the new Gigantes alternate lands at a D-, saved from an F only by its cream pants. The heritage behind Gigantes is worth celebrating, but the jersey itself pulls the Giants away from the black-and-orange-on-cream identity that makes the good stuff so good. Lean back into that cream home look and this closet is in great shape.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many jerseys do the Giants have in 2026?

Five main looks: the cream home uniform, the "San Francisco" road gray, the Orange Friday alternate, the black "music" City Connect worn on Tuesdays, and the new black-and-orange Gigantes alternate worn on Fiesta Gigantes Saturdays.

What is the best Giants jersey?

We rank the cream home uniform first and grade it an A-. Its black-and-orange "Giants" script on the warm cream fabric, paired with the black SF cap, is one of the most classic and distinctive home looks in baseball, and it is the anchor the whole rotation is built around.

Do the Giants still wear their City Connect?

Yes. The black "music" City Connect, inspired by 1960s Fillmore concert posters, is worn on Tuesday home games. Our daily tracker had the Giants in it as recently as July 11, 2026, against the Rockies.

What is the Giants Gigantes jersey?

It is a black-and-orange alternate with "GIGANTES" across the chest in Candlestick-era lettering and cream pants, designed to honor the Giants' Latino heritage and worn on "Fiesta Gigantes Saturdays." We grade it a D-, the lowest mark in the closet, mostly because the black base pulls the team away from its classic identity.
