The Marlins are bringing teal back. Starting this season, Miami is wearing a teal alternate jersey every Sunday as part of their new "Teal Sundays" program, and it might be the best uniform decision any MLB team has made this year.
This is not a city connect. This is not a limited release. The Marlins are committing to teal every single Sunday as a tribute to the original Florida Marlins look, and the whole rollout has been spot on.
The Buildup
The Marlins branded the whole thing as "Teal Sundays" with the tagline "Every Stitch Tells Our Story." They also changed their social media profile picture to the classic teal Florida Marlins logo on Sundays to match.

The Jersey
The teal is the exact shade from the original Florida Marlins era. The wordmark across the chest reads "Marlins" in the classic script, which connects the current Miami identity with the franchise's roots without pretending they're still the Florida Marlins.
The details that stand out: the legacy patch on the sleeve features the original Florida Marlins circular logo with the marlin jumping through the diamond. The teal-and-white striping on the cuffs is clean. White pants keep it grounded and let the teal do the talking.

In the Locker Room
Before they even took the field, the jerseys hanging in the clubhouse looked right. There's something about seeing a full locker room of teal that just hits different from the current set.
On the Field
These looked even better during the actual game. Teal pops under the lights, and the whole team looked unified in a way that the current everyday set doesn't always pull off.
The Win
And they won their debut in teal. Can't script it any better than that.
Our Take
We love everything about this. The color, the script, the legacy patch. If we could change one thing, we'd want these more than just Sundays. These should be in the regular rotation, maybe even as the primary alternate.
The Marlins have gone through a lot of identity changes over the years. The move from Florida to Miami, the switch away from teal. But teal has always been the franchise's signature, and seeing it back on the field just feels right. We'd love to see them build their next full rebrand around this color.
