The Chargers are changing more than the uniform this week. For Super Chargers week, Sunday, November 8 against the Texans, the field at SoFi Stadium gets a navy makeover. The midfield logo is the navy Chargers helmet, not the white bolt the team used for its Super Chargers games last season.

What Changed at Midfield
In 2025 the Super Chargers field put a white bolt at midfield, outlined in navy and gold. This year the team swapped it for the navy Super Chargers helmet itself, with the white bolt on the side. The end zones are still navy with "CHARGERS" in white block letters, the San Diego-era lettering.
Last year (2025): the white bolt at midfield, outlined in navy and gold, with the same navy end zones. Here is the stadium on Super Chargers night against the Vikings in October 2025.

This year (2026): the navy helmet at midfield, in the team's field graphic at the top of this story. Same navy end zones, much bigger statement in the middle.
That is the right call. The helmet is the best part of the Super Chargers set, and now it sits in the middle of the field in every wide TV shot.
What the Chargers Wear Against the Texans
The all-navy Super Chargers uniform:
- Helmet: navy with a navy facemask and a white bolt.
- Jersey: navy, with white numbers trimmed in gold and "Super Chargers" stitched at the collar.
- Pants: navy, with a white bolt down the side.
It is a modern version of the navy uniforms the franchise wore from 1992 through 2006. The game kicks off at 1:05 p.m. Pacific (4:05 p.m. ET) on CBS. Houston is expected in white.

Make It Full-Time
Our take: the Super Chargers look shouldn't be a three-games-a-year thing. Navy jersey and white pants at home, white jersey and navy pants on the road, and a clean navy helmet with no number. Here's the full case.
Every Super Chargers Game in 2026
- Week 9 vs. Texans: Sunday, November 8.
- Week 12 vs. Patriots: Sunday, November 29, Sunday Night Football.
- Week 17 vs. Chiefs: date to be set.
The full season, powder blue and the gold Charger Power jersey included, is in our Chargers 2026 uniform schedule.
Our Take
Teams rarely change the field for an alternate uniform, and when they do it is usually just the end zones. Putting the helmet at midfield ties the whole stadium to the uniform. A navy team on a field with a navy helmet in the middle looks like one idea, not a jersey swap. More teams should do this for their throwback weeks.
