Indianapolis Colts Jerseys 2026: Every Jersey Ranked, From Indiana Nights to Anvil Strike

By ColorWay Sports Staff·
Track the Indianapolis ColtsNFL

The Colts built one of the simplest identities in football: royal blue, white, a horseshoe, and the discipline to stop there. In 2026 they have four jerseys, the royal blue home, the white, the Indiana Nights alternate and the new Anvil Strike Rivalries jersey, and the rankings come down to which ones keep that discipline. We put Indianapolis twenty-first in our best NFL uniforms of 2026 at a B: simple, easy on the eye, and better than expected.

Here are all four Indianapolis Colts jerseys for 2026, ranked worst to first and graded, with the helmet and pants each one wears. For the full jersey schedule 2026, week by week, see the Colts 2026 uniform schedule.

4. Anvil Strike

ColorWay Sports Grade
F

Anvil Strike is the Colts' new entry in the NFL x Nike Rivalries program, revealed on August 25. It is a dark "Anvil Steel" anthracite jersey with classic royal blue numbers, an updated shoulder stripe with horseshoe-inspired grommets, reflective accents, and, for the first time in team history, a horseshoe on the jersey itself, in silver metallic. It is worn with anthracite pants and a metallic royal blue helmet with a silver horseshoe. It debuts in Week 3 at home against the Houston Texans on Sunday, September 27.

The helmet is a beautiful object, and it is stranded on a uniform that has nothing to do with Indianapolis. Anthracite is a color this franchise has never worn, the first-ever jersey horseshoe barely separates from the gray fabric, and the grommets and reflective trim disappear past the third row. A gray body under a bright blue lid is also Detroit's silhouette, which is a real problem for a program built on uniforms that are unmistakably yours.

It grades an F, the grade we gave it at the reveal, and it ranked thirteenth of sixteen in our Rivalries uniforms ranking. Indianapolis should put that metallic shell in the regular rotation and leave the rest in the box. The set stays in the rotation for three seasons.

3. White

ColorWay Sports Grade
B

The white jersey has royal blue numbers and royal shoulder stripes, worn under the white helmet with the blue horseshoe. It projects to every road game: at the Chiefs in Week 2, at the Steelers in Week 5, at the Vikings in Week 7, at the Jaguars in Week 8, at the Texans in Week 11, at the Eagles in Week 14, at the Titans in Week 15 and at the Browns in Week 17. It is also the projection for Week 4 against Washington in London, where the Colts are the designated home team but the Commanders are listed in burgundy.

It is also the jersey inside the White Out. For Week 9 at home against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, November 8, Indianapolis pairs it with white pants for a head-to-toe white look, and the royal horseshoe does all the accent work. That is the only confirmed date for this jersey so far.

It grades a B, the same mark we gave the White Out. It is crisp and photographs well, but an all-white Colts look leans on the opponent and the crowd to bring the color, and on its own the white jersey is the quietest thing in a quiet closet.

2. Royal Blue Home

ColorWay Sports Grade
B+

The royal blue home jersey has white numbers and white shoulder stripes. The Colts opened the season in it against Baltimore, with the white helmet and white pants, and lost 41-23. It projects to the four other home games not claimed by an alternate: the Tennessee Titans in Week 6, the Miami Dolphins in Week 10, the New York Giants in Week 12 and the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 18. None of those is confirmed by the team yet.

This is the simplest uniform in the league doing exactly what it should. Royal over white, with a white helmet and white pants, reads as one clean blue band between two white ones, and under the Lucas Oil Stadium lights nothing muddies it. The Week 1 picture against the Ravens' black and white was about as clean as a matchup gets.

It grades a B+. It is the identity, and it earns its spot, but it is so pared back that a sharper number font or a bolder stripe would move it higher. What it lacks is the one idea the jersey ahead of it has.

1. Indiana Nights

ColorWay Sports Grade
A-

Indiana Nights is the alternate inspired by the blue and black of the Indiana night sky, with a black-and-deep-blue jersey, a state-honoring logo, and a black helmet. It returns for a fourth season and has one 2026 date: Week 16 at home against the Cincinnati Bengals, on December 26 or 27.

In a league where a lot of night alternates end up as generic blackout jobs, this one has a point of view. The deep blue keeps it tied to the real Colts identity instead of throwing the brand away for a black jersey, and the black helmet is the piece that pushes it over the top. Against the Bengals in their white road set, it should be one of the best-looking games on the late-season slate.

It grades an A-, the grade we gave it on the Colts schedule post, and the top mark in the closet. It is the one Colts jersey that adds something without losing what makes Indianapolis look like Indianapolis, which is exactly what Anvil Strike fails to do.

The Bottom Line on the Colts Jersey Rankings

The Colts jerseys rank by how much of the Colts they keep. Indiana Nights adds black without losing the blue and grades an A-. The royal blue home is the identity at a B+, and the white is a clean B that shines brightest in the White Out. Anvil Strike swaps the palette for anthracite and grades an F.

The fix is right there in the closet. Put the Anvil Strike metallic blue helmet on the royal blue home jersey and the Colts would have their best look yet.
