The Dodgers wore their new blue road jersey in a real game for the first time, and they looked incredible. This was the first time we've seen the blue "Los Angeles" road script on the field outside of spring training, and seeing it in an actual MLB game at Nationals Park hit different.

The blue against the gray road pants is clean. The gray piping on the sleeves and collar ties it all together and keeps it from looking like a spring training jersey. On TV and in photos, the blue pops in a way that the traditional gray road jerseys just can't match.
It's still going to take a little time to get used to seeing the Dodgers in blue on the road. They've worn gray or white for so long that the blue road look feels like a big shift. But it's a welcome one. These are beautiful jerseys and the team clearly agrees, because they chose to debut them in the first road series of the season.
The Dodgers now have three road jersey options in the rotation: the classic gray with "Los Angeles" script, the gray with "Dodgers" script, and now this blue with the "Los Angeles" road script. That's a strong rotation with real variety.
It also helps that the Dodgers had an incredible game today. The jerseys looked good, the team played well, and the blue road era is officially underway.
This is a follow-up to our confirmed breakdown of the blue road jersey.
