Twins and Phillies 2026 Field of Dreams Uniforms Are Official: Full Look and Grades

By Jake Daneshgar·

The 2026 Field of Dreams uniforms are official. MLB, the Minnesota Twins, and the Philadelphia Phillies unveiled both throwback jerseys on July 20, three weeks before the Twins host the Phillies in the Dyersville, Iowa cornfield on August 13, live on Netflix. Both are genuine period throwbacks pulled from real seasons, and one of them is better than the leaked photos suggested. Here is the full look at each uniform, what era it comes from, and our grades.

The Phillies Field of Dreams Uniform: Our Grade

The Phillies went to their 1939 to 1941 road set, and it is the best-looking uniform either team will wear all year. The base is a clean road gray. Across the chest sits the red "Phillies" script slanting upward with a navy blue outline, flanked by red and navy striping that runs around the collar, down the sleeves, and along the placket. Gray pants, navy socks, and a navy cap with a bold red "P" in period lettering finish it.

The detail that elevates it is the sleeve patch, a replica of the mark the Phillies wore in 1939 to commemorate what was then believed to be baseball's 100th anniversary. That is not a generic old-timey flourish. It is a specific patch from a specific season, and it anchors the whole uniform to a real moment instead of a vague nostalgic mood.

Everything here pulls in one direction. The slanted script is the most distinctive lettering the franchise has ever used, the striping frames it without competing, and the centennial patch gives the jersey a reason to exist beyond "old baseball looked cool." The only thing keeping it from the top tier is the collar, where red, navy, and gray all converge and the eye has to work for a beat. Small ding on an excellent throwback uniform.

The Twins Field of Dreams Uniform: Our Grade

The Twins called theirs "our 1961 inspired uniforms," and the official reveal is noticeably better than the leaked rack photos indicated. This is a white home jersey with navy pinstripes and no trim, carrying a navy "Twins" script with red outline across the chest. The tail of the "s" curves back to underline the wordmark, which is the single best detail on the jersey. Back numbers are navy with red outlines, the cap is navy with the interlocking white "T" and red "C," and the socks are navy.

The sleeve patch is the "Minnie and Paul" logo, created in 1961 and worn on Twins home uniforms from 1961 through 1986. That matters, because it makes this an authentic Twins throwback rather than a costume. The franchise arrived in Minnesota in 1961, so a 1961 uniform is not the team dressing up as somebody else's history. It is the team wearing its own first season.

What holds it to a B is that white pinstripes plus a script wordmark is the safest formula in the entire throwback playbook. It is nearly impossible to make it look bad and genuinely hard to make it memorable. This one is clean, warm, and correct, and it will photograph beautifully in the cornfield. It just is not saying as much as the uniform in the other dugout.

What the Leak Got Wrong

These uniforms first surfaced in early July on a retail rack, and the leak photos were close on the Phillies and meaningfully off on the Twins. The rack images read as a cream base with black pinstripes and a red script. The actual jersey is white with navy pinstripes and a navy script with red outline. Warm store lighting on a cream-adjacent white will do that, and navy photographs as black constantly.

That correction changes the read on the uniform. A cream-and-black pinstripe would have been a generic vintage costume. White and navy with the Minnie and Paul patch is the Twins' actual 1961 look, which is why the grade moved up once the official images landed. It is a good reminder that leaked rack photos are a first look, not a final one.

This is the third Field of Dreams game, and we ranked every uniform ever worn in Dyersville across all three. For how this set fits into Philadelphia's wider archive, see the Phillies throwback playbook.

What Era Are These Throwbacks From?

This is where the two uniforms separate. The Phillies are wearing 1939 to 1941, and the sleeve patch commemorates baseball's centennial as it was celebrated in 1939. It is a specific season with a specific reason behind it.

The Twins are wearing 1961, their first season in Minnesota, with the Minnie and Paul patch that lived on their uniforms for 26 years. Also specific, also real. Both teams did the homework here, which is not always true of throwback nights.

The Phillies edge it because their era carries a commemoration on top of the aesthetic, and because the slanted script is simply more distinctive than a straight-across wordmark. Both teams are dressing up for a game staged in a cornfield built for a movie about baseball nostalgia, so a little theater is the entire point. The Phillies just grounded their theater in a dated event.

Are the 2026 Field of Dreams uniforms official?

Yes. MLB and both clubs officially unveiled the Field of Dreams uniforms on July 20, 2026. Photos of the jerseys had leaked from a retail rack earlier in July, and the official reveal corrected several details, particularly on the Twins jersey.

What do the Twins and Phillies Field of Dreams uniforms look like?

The Phillies wear a road gray uniform from their 1939 to 1941 set, with a red "Phillies" script slanting upward with a navy outline, red and navy striping on the collar, sleeves, and placket, a navy cap with a red "P," and a 1939 baseball centennial sleeve patch. Where can I buy the 2026 Field of Dreams jerseys?

Both Field of Dreams jerseys and the matching caps went on sale alongside the official unveiling and are available through Fanatics and each team's official store.

The Bottom Line on the 2026 Field of Dreams Uniforms

Both of these are legitimate throwbacks pulled from real seasons, which is more than most special-event uniforms can claim. The Phillies earn an A- because the 1939 to 1941 road look is their most distinctive uniform ever and the centennial patch ties it to a dated event. The Twins earn a B for a clean, authentic 1961 home pinstripe with the Minnie and Paul patch, held back only by how safe the pinstripe-and-script formula is. We will grade the actual on-field pairing when the Twins and Phillies wear these in the cornfield on August 13, and it will show up in our MLB daily uniform tracker the next morning.
