Grading Every 2026 NFL Draft Hat by Division

ColorWay Sports·

Dallas Cowboys 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

New Era just dropped the official 2026 NFL Draft hats, and we went through every single one. There are 31 hats available right now, with one notable absence: the Los Angeles Rams. We'll get into that later.

The collection this year follows a pretty consistent format. Team primary color on the crown, secondary color on the brim, oversized 3D chrome logo on the front, and a small NFL Draft pin on the side. What really sets these apart are the hidden interior designs. Flip the hat over and you'll find custom artwork inside every single one, from city landmarks to team-specific graphics. Some of them are incredible. Some of them are lazy.

We graded all 31 hats by division.

AFC East

Buffalo Bills: B

The Bills hat has fun colors going on with the royal blue and red. The chrome buffalo logo pops nicely on the front. The interior has a cool black-and-white graphic, but it doesn't scream Buffalo to us. It's solid, not spectacular.

Miami Dolphins: B

Miami Dolphins 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

The aqua and orange is always going to look good together, and the chrome dolphin logo works well on the front. The interior has palm trees, which is very Miami. It's chill. It works. Not the most creative thing we've ever seen, but it fits the vibe.

New England Patriots: B

New England Patriots 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Navy and red is a classic combo, and the Pat Patriot throwback logo scattered on the inside is a nice touch. But it doesn't go much further than that. The outside is clean and the interior is fine. For a franchise with this much history, we expected a little more creativity.

New York Jets: C+

New York Jets 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

The outside is actually pretty cool. The green and white with that chrome Jets wordmark looks sharp. But flip it over and there's almost nothing going on inside. It's just green with a faint logo outline. The interior is one of the most boring in the entire collection. The outside saves it from a lower grade, but barely.

AFC North

Pittsburgh Steelers: A-

Black and gold is timeless. The Steelers logo on the front with the chrome treatment looks great, and the interior is where this hat really shines. It's the Terrible Towel pattern. That's a deep-cut reference that Pittsburgh fans will absolutely love. One of the most unique interiors in the entire collection and a perfect representation of the franchise's culture.

Baltimore Ravens: B+

Baltimore Ravens 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Baltimore Ravens 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

Black and purple always looks clean for Baltimore. The real star here is the interior, which features the Maryland state flag. Simple, recognizable, and perfectly executed. It ties the team to the city in a way that a lot of these hats don't even try to do.

Cincinnati Bengals: B+

Cincinnati Bengals 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Black and orange with tiger stripes on the inside. It's on brand and it looks great. The stripe pattern inside the crown is a direct nod to the Bengal tiger, and it translates well to the hat. The outside is solid too. This is one of the better-executed hats in the AFC.

Cleveland Browns: B+

Cleveland Browns 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Cleveland Browns 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

The Browns logo has always been hard to work with on hats, and the oversized helmet on the front looks a little strange with the chrome treatment. But the interior is the highlight here. It's the Dawg Pound, with a chain-link fence pattern and the team dog mascot. It takes a second to figure out what you're looking at, but once you see it, it's pretty cool.

AFC South

Jacksonville Jaguars: A

Jacksonville Jaguars 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Jacksonville Jaguars 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

The teal and black looks fantastic, and the jaguar head logo with the chrome treatment is one of the best-looking logos in this entire collection. But the interior is what pushes this into A territory. Full jaguar print. Leopard spots everywhere. It's bold, it's on brand, and it's exactly what you'd want to see from this team. One of the best hats in the entire drop.

Indianapolis Colts: B+

Indianapolis Colts 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

The royal blue and gray on the outside is a really sharp color combination. The horseshoe with the chrome treatment pops beautifully against that blue. It almost has a retro feel to it. The interior has scattered blue horse graphics, which is fine but nothing groundbreaking. This is a hat where the outside does all the talking.

Tennessee Titans: B+

Tennessee Titans 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Tennessee Titans 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

The light blue and navy is a great combo, and the Titans sword logo works well with the chrome treatment. The interior has blue flames, which is a callback to the Titans' flaming thumbtack logo and the team's fire-themed identity. We've always wanted to see the Titans lean more into the flames, and this hat does exactly that. Really cool detail.

Houston Texans: B-

Houston Texans 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

We love the front of this hat. The old-school "H" logo with the star is one of the best alternate logos in the NFL, and it looks fantastic with the chrome treatment on the navy crown. The red brim adds a nice pop. But the interior doesn't match the energy. It references the team's 25th anniversary with a small graphic, but it feels like an afterthought. The outside does way more heavy lifting than the inside here.

AFC West

Denver Broncos: A-

Denver Broncos 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Denver Broncos 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

Orange and navy is a strong combination, and the Broncos horse logo looks great in chrome. But the interior is where this hat becomes something special. It's a photo of the Rocky Mountains. Mile High City, literally. It ties the team to the geography in a way that feels natural and looks gorgeous. One of the best interiors in the whole collection.

Las Vegas Raiders: A-

Las Vegas Raiders 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Las Vegas Raiders 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

Black and silver is the most iconic color combo in the NFL, and the Raiders shield logo in chrome looks incredible. The interior has skulls and smoke, which is about as on-brand as you can get for the Raiders. It's dark, it's aggressive, and it stands out from every other hat in the collection. Very unique.

Kansas City Chiefs: B-

Kansas City Chiefs 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

Red and black is fine, but we think the Chiefs' secondary color should have been yellow on this hat. The interior is pretty dark and hard to make out. There's a faint arrowhead graphic in there, but it doesn't pop the way some of the other interiors do. For a franchise that just won three Super Bowls in five years, this feels like a missed opportunity.

Los Angeles Chargers: B-

Los Angeles Chargers 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

The powder blue and gold is a tough combination to pull off on a hat. On a jersey, these colors look great. On a hat, the contrast feels a little off. The interior has a lightning storm graphic, which fits the Chargers theme, but the outside just doesn't come together the way we hoped. The colors are fighting each other instead of working together.

NFC East

Dallas Cowboys: A-

Dallas Cowboys 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Dallas Cowboys 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

Navy and silver is always going to look clean for America's Team. The star in chrome is classic. But the interior is the real showstopper. It combines the American flag with the Texas state flag in one design. It's bold, it's patriotic, and it perfectly captures what the Cowboys brand is all about. One of the best interiors in the entire collection.

Philadelphia Eagles: B

Philadelphia Eagles 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Philadelphia Eagles 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

Midnight green and black is always solid. The eagle head in chrome looks good on the front. The interior has a bald eagle in flight, which is a nice nod to the team name and the city's connection to American history. It's clean and it works. Not flashy, but respectable.

Washington Commanders: B

Washington Commanders 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Washington Commanders 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

Burgundy and gold is a classic color combo. The big W in chrome on the front is fine. The interior has cherry blossoms, similar to what the Washington Wizards have been doing with their City Edition jerseys. It's a cool tie to D.C., but the pink flowers don't exactly match the burgundy and gold color scheme. The idea is there, the execution is just a little off.

New York Giants: B-

New York Giants 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

New York Giants 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

The outside looks sharp. Blue and red with the NY logo in chrome is a strong look. But flip it over and the interior is just the NY logo with "Go Big Blue" text. That's it. The outside does the heavy lifting here. For a franchise based in one of the most iconic cities in the world, the interior could have done so much more.

NFC North

Detroit Lions: A

Detroit Lions 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Detroit Lions 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

The Honolulu blue and silver is a gorgeous color combo, and the lion in chrome on the front looks incredible. But the interior is what makes this an A. It's a Motor City tribute with engine parts and machinery. Detroit is the auto capital of the world, and this hat wears that with pride. The colors, the outside, and the inside all work together perfectly. One of the best in the collection.

Minnesota Vikings: A

Minnesota Vikings 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Minnesota Vikings 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

Purple and gold always pops, and the Viking head in chrome looks great on the front. The interior has a Viking warrior silhouette scene that looks like something out of a movie. It's dark, dramatic, and completely on brand. The whole hat comes together perfectly. One of our favorites in the entire collection.

Green Bay Packers: B+

Green Bay Packers 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Green Bay Packers 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

Green and gold is timeless, and the G logo in chrome looks clean. The interior has a close-up of Lambeau Field, including what looks like the frozen tundra and the stadium seating. It takes a second to figure out what you're looking at, but once you see it, it's a great tribute to the most iconic stadium in the NFL.

Chicago Bears: B

Chicago Bears 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Chicago Bears 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

Navy and orange with the bear head logo is solid. The interior features the Chicago city flag with its iconic red stars, which is a great touch. It ties the team to the city in a clean way. We like that they used the bear head as the primary logo here instead of the C. It just looks better on a hat.

NFC South

New Orleans Saints: A

New Orleans Saints 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

Black and gold is always elegant, and the fleur-de-lis in chrome is a clean look. The interior is absolutely fantastic. It's a full jazz band scene with musicians playing brass instruments, vibrant colors everywhere. New Orleans is the birthplace of jazz, and this hat celebrates that beautifully. One of the best interiors in the entire collection, and it pushes this hat into A territory easily.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: B+

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

Red and pewter is a sharp combo, and the Bucs flag logo in chrome looks great. The interior has tropical palm trees and a sunset scene that screams Tampa Bay. We actually like how Tampa did the tropical theme better than how Miami did it. The palm fronds and blue sky inside the hat feel more detailed and intentional. Great execution.

Atlanta Falcons: B

Atlanta Falcons 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Atlanta Falcons 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

Black and red is a solid base, and the falcon logo in chrome works well. The interior has Georgia peaches, which is a fun nod to the Peach State. It's a nice local touch that ties the team to the city. Not the most exciting hat in the world, but the peaches inside give it personality.

Carolina Panthers: B-

Carolina Panthers 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Carolina Panthers 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

The bright blue and black looks fine, and the panther head in chrome is decent. But the interior is where this one falls short. It's just a solid blue with the Panthers name and a subtle pattern. No real creative element that ties it to Charlotte or the Carolinas. The outside is carrying this one.

NFC West

San Francisco 49ers: B

San Francisco 49ers 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

San Francisco 49ers 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

Red and black with the SF oval logo in chrome is a clean look. The interior has a sunset view of what appears to be the stadium at Levi's Field. It's fine. It's a nice photo, but it doesn't hit as hard as some of the other interiors. For one of the most iconic franchises in football, we expected something with a little more punch.

Seattle Seahawks: C+

Seattle Seahawks 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Seattle Seahawks 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

Navy and action green is a polarizing combo that we generally like. The Seahawk head in chrome looks good on the front. But the interior is a letdown. It appears to be a faint feather design, and honestly it's hard to even tell what you're looking at. These are the defending Super Bowl champions. You'd think New Era would have gone all-out with the interior design. The Space Needle, the 12th Man flag, the Lombardi Trophy. Any of those would have been better than a barely visible feather. Disappointing.

Arizona Cardinals: F

Arizona Cardinals 2026 Draft Hat Image courtesy of New Era

Arizona Cardinals 2026 Draft Hat Interior Image courtesy of New Era

This is the worst hat in the entire collection. The cardinal red and black is fine on the outside, but there's nothing interesting going on. The interior has small scattered "AZ" letters and tiny cardinal logos on a black background. It's the most generic, uninspired design in the whole drop. Arizona has the Grand Canyon, Sedona, incredible sunsets, and desert landscapes. They could have done so much with the interior. Instead, they gave us a basic repeating pattern. Terrible.

Los Angeles Rams: Not Released

The Rams are the only team without a 2026 Draft hat available on New Era's site. No word on why, but it's an interesting absence. We've talked before about the Rams' branding situation. The gradient logo has been polarizing since day one, and a lot of fans want to see them get back to the classic ram horn. Whether this delay has anything to do with a potential rebrand or is just a production issue, we'll be watching. We'll update this post when the Rams hat drops.

The Missing Hat: Los Angeles Rams

As of today, the Rams are the only team in the NFL without a 2026 Draft hat available. We'll keep an eye on it and update this post when it drops.
