The Los Angeles Rams officially revealed their new 2026 uniforms and logo package on April 16 at a block party ahead of the NFL Draft. The changes are minimal, but minimal was probably the right call. The gradient is gone, the horns are back on the shoulders, and a new italicized wordmark is headed for the helmet bumper. Here is our full jersey-by-jersey breakdown and overall grade for the Rams 2026 rebrand.

The New Rams LA Logo: Grade B

The gradient is gone. That is the headline of this entire rebrand. The new LA logo is sharper, bolder, and now monochrome gold. The shape is largely the same, but stripping out the white-to-yellow gradient makes the whole mark feel cleaner, more modern, and easier to read from a distance.

We will give this piece of the reveal a B. We were never fans of the LA logo to begin with, and while the cleanup was necessary, we think the Rams could have taken it further. Outlining the LA in white or yellow and keeping the main color royal blue would have given the logo more contrast and more life. Instead, the team went fully monochrome. It is fine. It is just not the creative swing we were hoping for.

The New Rams Head Logo

The updated ram head logo is actually one of the better pieces of this reveal. It is sharper, cleaner, and more aggressive than the previous version. We think it could have leaned even more cartoony and stylized to give it more personality, but as an upgrade it works. This is the kind of secondary mark that will look great on merch, stadium signage, and social graphics.

The New Rams Wordmark Is the Best Part of This Reveal

This is the strongest element of the entire rebrand. The new italicized "RAMS" wordmark has a speed-stripe feel that gives the identity some actual attitude, and it will live on the front bumper of the helmet going forward. It also matches the aesthetic of the jerseys much better than the plain block text the Rams have been using since 2020. Small detail, massive upgrade.

The Home Blue Uniform: Grade C+

The blue home uniform got the updates it needed. The gradient is gone, horn stripes now run down the shoulder pads and sleeves, and the pants have redesigned stripes as well. The Rams will pair this jersey exclusively with yellow pants at home.

And yet, something about the blue home uniform still does not do it for us. We have the same problem with the Chargers when they wear their full blue and yellow look. The color combination on a Nike jersey just reads off. It feels too matte, not enough gloss, and the blue-over-yellow proportions come across heavy. That may be a Nike manufacturing issue more than a Rams design issue, but the end result is the same.

If we are being totally honest, the Rams should consider the Cowboys route and wear their away uniform at home. They won a Super Bowl in the white set at SoFi Stadium. The white jersey feels more "Rams" than this blue one does, even after the touch-ups. Your home uniform has to be your best uniform, and this one is not.

We will give the updated blue home uniform a C+. It is better than it used to be. It is still not a great football jersey.

The Away White Uniform: Grade B+

The white throwback-style away uniform has always been our favorite Rams look, and the tweaks here make it even cleaner. The horn stripe is now on the shoulder, the pant stripes have been redesigned, and it looks like the Rams will pair this jersey with either white or blue pants depending on the week.

We will give this one a B+. It does not crack the A tier, but it is the strongest piece of the reveal by a mile. The horn on the shoulder does change the feel of the sleeve, and the Todd Gurley-era throwbacks from the mid-2010s did this same concept slightly better. But this is still one of the cleaner road uniforms in the NFC.

The Rams Helmet Stayed the Same, and That Is a Problem

The helmet itself did not get touched, and that is the biggest missed opportunity of this rebrand. We love the shine of the shell, the blue facemask, and the way the mask matches the jersey. What we do not love is that the horn is still broken up where the helmet meets the jersey shoulder. The horn should be one continuous silhouette from the helmet down through the shoulder pad. Instead, there is still a visible gap. That has been one of the most obvious visual problems with the Rams look since 2020, and the team left it untouched.

Two More Uniforms Coming in Summer 2026

The reveal also hinted that two additional uniforms are coming in summer 2026. The bone-colored rivalry alternate may or may not survive the transition. We never loved it beyond the little blue shoulder accents, so we would not be upset if it gets phased out. We will have to wait and see what the Rams cook up for the second wave.

The Overall Grade: B-

The away jersey is the best piece of this rebrand, but the away jersey was already good. The blue home uniform is the set we will see most on Sundays, and it still is not clicking for us. That is what drags the overall grade down.

We were expecting a minimal update. We were hoping for something bigger. Something closer to a royal blue and white identity with the St. Louis-era navy and gold energy. Instead, the Rams stayed in their current palette and just cleaned up the edges. Necessary? Yes. Exciting? Not really.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Rams 2026 Uniforms

What changed in the new Rams 2026 uniforms?

The Rams removed the white-to-yellow gradient from their LA logo and number font, added horn stripes to the shoulder pads and sleeves on both the home and away jerseys, redesigned the pant stripes, updated the ram head secondary logo, and introduced a new italicized "RAMS" wordmark that will appear on the front helmet bumper.

What is the overall grade for the Rams 2026 uniforms?

Our overall grade is B-. The white away uniform earned a B+, the blue home uniform earned a C+, and the new LA logo landed at a B. The new wordmark is the strongest single element of the entire rebrand.

Are the Rams keeping the bone jersey?

The bone rivalry uniform was not included in the April 16 reveal. The Rams announced that two additional uniforms are coming in summer 2026, but it is not yet clear whether the bone set returns or gets retired.

Did the Rams change their helmet?

No. The primary Rams helmet and horn decal remain unchanged for 2026. The new wordmark will appear on the front bumper, but the shell, facemask, and horn itself are the same as the 2020 through 2025 helmets.

What pants will the Rams wear at home?

The blue home uniform will be paired exclusively with yellow pants. The white away uniform can be worn with either white pants or blue pants depending on the matchup.

Did the Rams get rid of the gradient?

Yes. The white-to-yellow gradient that has been on the Rams LA logo, number fonts, and uniform details since 2020 has been completely removed. Every element of the new identity uses flat, solid colors.

When are the other two Rams uniforms coming out?

The Los Angeles Rams have confirmed that two additional uniforms will be released in the summer of 2026. No exact date has been announced yet, but both are expected to drop before the start of the 2026 NFL season.
