Rams 2026 NFL Draft hat front via @ZachCohenFB on X
The Rams' 2026 NFL Draft hat just leaked, and if this is real, we're getting our first look at what LA's rebrand is going to look like. The hat features a completely redesigned LA logo on the front, a new wordmark on the back, and some interesting details on the interior.
The biggest change on the front is the logo itself. The gradient is gone. The LA is now a flat yellow on a royal blue crown with a yellow brim. The outline around the letters has a metallic silver look to it, which gives the whole thing a more premium feel compared to the current set.
We're intrigued to see what the new logo colors and team uniforms look like if these leaks are true. It's a little disconcerting that there is so much yellow in the logo and that it's just yellow. No blue accents within the lettering, no secondary color mixed in. We like that they got rid of the gradient, but we're actually more of the opinion that there should be more blue as opposed to more yellow across the entire identity. The current set leans heavily on that "sol" yellow, and this draft hat suggests they're doubling down on it. For the rest of the league, we graded all 31 official 2026 NFL Draft hats.
The Back: A Brand New Wordmark

The back of the hat is where things get really interesting. The snapback closure features a completely new "RAMS" wordmark in metallic silver on the blue strap. It's angular, italicized, and has a speed-stripe feel to it. This is clearly a new typeface the team is rolling out.
We really like this. The new wordmark has some attitude to it. It's going to be interesting to see how it looks on the jerseys, on the helmet, and across the full brand. If the Rams are going all-in on a new visual identity, this wordmark is a strong foundation.
Here's how it compares to the previous Rams wordmarks:

The evolution is pretty clear. The 2017-2020 wordmark was curvy and scripted. The 2020-2026 version went the complete opposite direction with a plain block text that felt corporate and forgettable. This new 2026 version actually has some personality to it. It's sharp, it's dynamic, and it feels like it belongs on an NFL uniform.
The Interior

The interior of the hat features a yellow floral pattern under the brim. This is consistent with the rest of the 2026 NFL Draft hats from New Era. Each team's draft hat has a unique pattern on the inside that ties to something regional or cultural. For the Rams, the pattern uses blue florals and leaves on a yellow base.
What This Means for the Rebrand
The Rams are expected to unveil a full rebrand ahead of the 2026 season. This draft hat is the first major leak, and it tells us a few things. The gradient is dead. The color palette is moving toward a cleaner royal blue and yellow combination. And the team is investing in a new typeface that actually has some energy to it.
We'll keep you updated and be the first to break down any new leaks as they come. The full Rams rebrand reveal is expected sometime before the NFL Draft in late April.
Our grade: B
The hat itself is solid. The new logo without the gradient is a step in the right direction, and the wordmark on the back has real potential. But we just don't have enough information yet to go higher. We still don't know what the actual primary logo looks like on a helmet or a jersey, and the floral pattern under the brim doesn't tell us much about where the full brand identity is heading. Once we see the complete package, this grade could easily go up or down. For now, it's a B based on what we have to work with.
