Lightning Uniform Schedule 2026-27: Every Sweater and When They Wear It

The Tampa Bay Lightning open 2026-27 on the road against the New York Rangers on Thursday, October 1, then play the home opener at Benchmark International Arena on Saturday, October 3. This is the full Lightning uniform schedule: every sweater in the closet, what each one is for, and a game-by-game record of when it goes on the ice.

The Lightning Uniform Closet for 2026-27

Home

Blue from the 2011 set: the white bolt crest, one thick white stripe on the sleeves, hem and socks, a contrast collar with tie-down and the Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Club roundel on the shoulders. Unchanged for 2026-27.

Away

White with the blue bolt and a TAMPA BAY wordmark, single thick blue sleeve and hem stripes and the roundel shoulder patch. Unchanged for 2026-27.

Black Legacy Third (Status Open)

Black base with the roundel as the main crest, three victory stripes in white, blue and silver honoring the 1992-93 original, and the three Cup years woven into the lace collar. It debuted in February 2024 with a stated run through 2025-26, and Tampa Bay has not said whether it continues. The pirate-themed 2026 Stadium Series sweater was last season's.

Hometown Remix (Coming)

The league-wide Fanatics special edition, one sweater per club, built around each city's local culture. The NHL says the designs arrive shortly after the season opens on September 29; nothing has been revealed yet. Our Hometown Remix tracker grades each one as it lands.
