NBA Media Day 2026: LeBron in Sixers Blue, Giannis in Heat White and Every New Jersey We Saw

NBA Media Day 2026 is the day the offseason becomes real. Every team opened its doors on Monday, September 28, and for the first time we got to see the summer's biggest moves in their new jerseys: LeBron James in Philadelphia blue, Giannis Antetokounmpo in Miami white, Kawhi Leonard back in Toronto red and Ja Morant in Portland. Here is every first look we saw (the full list of number changes is in our NBA new jersey numbers guide), with the numbers, the uniform each player wore, and the new jersey patches that showed up with them.

LeBron James, Philadelphia 76ers: No. 23, Icon Blue

The headline act. LeBron posed in the royal blue "PHILA" Icon jersey with No. 23, the number we explained when he signed. The Sixers' group shot put him next to Jaylen Brown in No. 7, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, all in blue, and the caption was just "no caption needed." Fair.

The other new thing on that jersey is the patch. Bloom Energy is the Sixers' new jersey patch partner, announced Monday morning, and it is on every blue jersey in the photo. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Miami Heat: No. 7, Association White

Giannis in anything other than Bucks green still looks strange, and that is the point of media day. He wore the white "HEAT" Association jersey with No. 7, walking in next to Bam Adebayo.

Klay Thompson, Miami Heat: No. 11, Association White

Miami's other new face kept his number. Klay is No. 11 in Heat white.

Kawhi Leonard, Toronto Raptors: Back in Red

Kawhi is a Raptor again, and the team posted him in the red Raptors jersey with a simple "KAWHI LEONARD IS A RAPTOR." It is his first Raptors media day since the 2019 title run.

Ja Morant and Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers: No. 1 and No. 0, Association White

Portland put its new backcourt in one frame, both in the white "BLAZERS" Association jersey. Ja switched from the 12 he wore in Memphis to No. 1. Dame is back in Portland in his familiar No. 0.

LaMelo Ball, Minnesota Timberwolves: No. 1, the New White

This was the uniform story of the day. It was the first look at Minnesota's full rebrand on actual players, and LaMelo modeled the new white "WOLVES" Association with blue and green trim and the new belt buckle. The rebrand is the best work any NBA team has done in years, and it looks even better on a body than on a hanger.

Paul George and Mitchell Robinson, Boston Celtics: No. 13 and No. 4, Icon Green

Paul George is a Celtic, and he posed in the green "BOSTON" Icon jersey in No. 13 next to Jayson Tatum. Former Knick Mitchell Robinson is in green too, wearing No. 4, which may be the strangest sentence of the day for New York fans.

Anthony Davis and Trae Young, Washington Wizards: No. 23 and No. 3

Both came to Washington in trades last season, but this was their first media day as Wizards. AD wears No. 23 and Trae No. 3, shown here in the white Association jersey.

The Wizards also shot the navy "The District of Columbia" Statement, with AD in No. 23. That design is not new; it is the Statement Washington has worn since 2024-25.

Julius Randle, Brooklyn Nets: No. 30, Icon Black

Randle is Brooklyn's new frontcourt anchor, and the Nets posted their first look at him in the black "BROOKLYN" Icon in No. 30. The patch is new: Alibaba is the Nets' jersey partner starting this season, the franchise's 60th. The Nets have also already set a jersey for all 80 games. Lu Dort, Atlanta Hawks: No. 0, Black

Lu Dort's first look after years in Oklahoma City is a selfie in the black "HAWKS" jersey, still in No. 0.

DeMar DeRozan, Denver Nuggets: No. 10

Denver teased its first look at DeRozan as a Nugget. He is wearing No. 10.

Our Verdict: The Best New Look of Media Day

LaMelo Ball in the new Timberwolves white. Everyone else is a great player in a familiar jersey. Minnesota is the only team that showed up with a genuinely new uniform, and it was the best-looking thing in the league on Monday. Runner-up: LeBron in Sixers blue, if only because it still does not look real.
