Purple Rising is one of the four uniforms in The Next Flight, the collection Baltimore revealed on April 16, 2026. Between the team's reveal photos and its own description of the set, here is every piece:
- The Purple Rising helmet. A metallic purple shell with gold talon stripes down the middle and a gold facemask. For 2026 it carries the primary Ravens logo on the side, a change the team made so the helmet can be worn with more than one uniform.
- The purple Purple Rising jersey with a gold RAVENS wordmark on the chest and a sleeve shield in midnight purple and metallic gold. "PURPLE RISING" is stitched inside the collar, and the back collar reads "BALTIMORE."
- Purple pants with the Talon Stripes, which the Ravens say imitate the sharpened claws of a raven. The diagonal cut references the Calvert crest on the Baltimore and Maryland flags.
- Purple socks, which finish the look in one color from head to toe.

Thursday will be the third Purple Rising game, and the first in the new version.
- June 18, 2024: the helmet is revealed. The Purple Rising helmet was the first alternate helmet in franchise history and the first time the Ravens put anything but a black shell on the field. The original version carried the front-facing raven head, the team's secondary logo, on each side.
- November 7, 2024 vs. Cincinnati. The debut, on Thursday Night Football at M&T Bank Stadium, with the purple helmet over the all-purple Color Rush uniform.

How It Compares to the Old All-Purple Color Rush
The Ravens have worn all purple since 2016, when they debuted their Color Rush uniform: a purple jersey cut like the regular home jersey but with gold numbers, purple pants with a gold and white stripe down each side, and purple socks. Through 2023 it was worn under the regular black helmet. In 2024 and 2025 it was the uniform under the first Purple Rising helmet.
The 2026 Purple Rising set replaces it. It is a new uniform built around the purple helmet instead of a helmet added to an old uniform. The jersey gets the Next Flight sleeve shield and the collar details, the pants swap the old side stripe for the Talon Stripes, and the helmet now carries the primary logo instead of the front-facing raven head. The idea is the same. The pieces finally match.

All purple is the best look the Ravens have, and the reason is simple: nobody else in the NFL owns purple the way Baltimore does. Monochrome uniforms usually look flat. This one does not, because the gold stripes, gold facemask and gold trim on the jersey break up the purple. The old Color Rush was always a good uniform wearing the wrong helmet, and the 2024 helmet fixed half of that. The 2026 version fixes the rest, and it is the best uniform in the Next Flight collection. Under the lights on a Thursday is the right place for it. Our matchup grade: B+, held back only by a Jaguars side expected in plain white.
