Our first take: the helmet is the best thing here by a wide margin. That light gloss teal with the gold cage is a genuinely beautiful piece, and it makes the case for more teal headwear in Jacksonville's future all by itself. The rest is more complicated. Alabaster and gold together give the whole thing a New Orleans feel at first glance, which is a strange note for a franchise whose entire visual edge is that nobody else owns teal. The 904 on the bumper joins the growing pile of area-code and zip-code references around the league, a trend that is wearing thin for us, and the number font and nameplate are fine without being memorable. The spotted pants are the gamble: cool up close, a little gimmicky, and we have real questions about how that print reads at field distance. Last season the home slate ran on it almost exclusively, in both the standard version and the Prowler throwback, and there is no indication that changes in 2026.
