New Orleans Saints Jerseys 2026: Every Jersey Ranked, From White Alternate to Black

The Saints have four jerseys on the field in 2026, black, white, the all-white alternate and gold, and three helmets to wear them under: the gold base shell, the white shell and the black shell. New Orleans published its full jersey schedule 2026 on September 7, so every date below is the team's own, with only the pants left to the captains each week. We put the Saints last in our best NFL uniforms of 2026, the only F on the board. Black and old gold is a great color pair. The problem is how the pieces are put together, and that shows up jersey by jersey.

Here are all four New Orleans Saints jerseys for 2026, ranked worst to first and graded, with the helmet and pants each one wears. The Saints 2026 uniform schedule has the week-by-week grid.

4. Black

ColorWay Sports Grade
D+

The black jersey is the home base, worn with gold or black pants, and it gets the most games of any jersey in the closet. It is confirmed for seven: at the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2, where the Ravens wear their White Noise set at home, then the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 3, the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5, the Pittsburgh Steelers in Paris in Week 7, where New Orleans is the designated home team, the Carolina Panthers in Week 10, the Green Bay Packers in Week 13 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 18. Six of those are under the gold helmet. The Week 10 game against Carolina is the one black-on-black date, under the black helmet.

The contrasting collar is the problem. It is too big, and on a black body it cuts the jersey in half at the chest, so the eye stops at the collar instead of reading the uniform top to bottom. The fleur-de-lis is still one of the great marks in football, and the Superdome's controlled lighting is kinder to black than any outdoor stadium. But the Reebok-era Drew Brees sets popped in a way this Nike version does not, and on the jersey New Orleans wears most, that gap is hardest to ignore.

It grades a D+. The Week 10 black helmet version is the best way to wear it, because an all-black top half hides some of what the collar breaks up.

3. White

ColorWay Sports Grade
C

The standard white jersey is the road set with the values flipped, worn under the gold helmet. It opened the season at Detroit with black pants, a 31-30 loss, and it is confirmed for six games: at the Lions in Week 1, at home against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night in Week 4, and on the road at the Bears in Week 11, the Panthers in Week 14, the Buccaneers in Week 15 and the Falcons in Week 17. The Monday night home date is a deliberate choice, and it forces Atlanta into red under the dome lights.

White is where the Saints' palette works best. Gold helmet, white jersey and black pants give three distinct bands, and the black pants stop the set from washing out against the yard lines, which is exactly how it looked in Detroit. The jersey body is the weaker half. It carries the same oversized collar and the same thin trim as the black, and on white the gold barely registers from a distance.

It grades a C. The combination is better than the jersey, and the black pants are doing most of the work.

2. Gold

C+

The gold jersey is the loudest thing New Orleans owns, and it gets exactly one game: at home against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, November 8 in Week 9, under the black helmet. Cleveland will be in white.

The helmet choice is what makes it work. Gold under the gold shell reads as one block from the upper deck. Gold under black reads as a uniform, with a clear top, a bright middle and a reason for the eye to move. It is also the one jersey that uses old gold as the main color instead of trim, which is the most honest use of the Saints' palette in the closet. The risk is the same one every color-heavy alternate carries: a full gold body can look like a practice shirt if the pants match it, and the captains have not said what they will pick.

It grades a C+. With black pants and the black helmet, it is the best-looking home game on the Saints' schedule.

1. White Alternate

ColorWay Sports Grade
B-

The White Alternate is the all-white set with gold numbers, and it always goes with the white helmet. It is confirmed for three games: at the New York Giants in Week 6, at the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 12, and at home against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, December 27 in Week 16, where the Cardinals wear red.

This is the one jersey where the Saints' gold does the talking. Gold numbers on a white body read from anywhere, and the white shell with the fleur-de-lis ties the whole look together instead of adding a third color on top. It is simple in a way the rest of the closet is not, and simple suits a team whose best asset is a single great logo. The knock is the same one every all-white set carries: on a bright afternoon, white on white can flatten out, and the gold has to carry a lot.

It grades a B-, the top mark in the closet. If New Orleans ever redesigns, this is the jersey to build from.

The Bottom Line on the Saints Jersey Rankings

The Saints jerseys rank by how well they use the gold. The White Alternate puts it in the numbers and grades a B-. Gold is a C+ that the black helmet rescues, White is a C that leans on black pants, and Black is a D+ held back by the collar, which is a hard thing to say about the jersey New Orleans wears most.

The helmets are the most interesting part of the 2026 plan. Week 9 is the game to circle: gold jersey, black helmet, Cleveland in white, under a dome.
