The Vikings have five jerseys on the field in 2026, more than almost anyone in the league: the purple home jersey, the white road jersey, the Classic throwback, the all-white Winter Warrior, and a brand-new Rivalries uniform. They also did something most teams will not. Minnesota published the jersey for all nine home games before the season started, so the home half of this list comes with real dates. We put the Vikings sixth in our best NFL uniforms of 2026 at an A-, and four of these five jerseys show why. The fifth is the biggest miss of the year.
Here are all five Minnesota Vikings jerseys for 2026, ranked worst to first and graded, with the helmet and pants each one wears. For the week-by-week jersey schedule 2026, the Vikings 2026 uniform schedule has every game.
5. Rivalries
The Rivalries uniform is Minnesota's entry in the NFL x Nike Rivalries program, revealed on August 25. The base is a deep "Purple Dynasty" shade with ivory and metallic gold, two-tone numbers cut to look chiseled from stone like runes, and a matching chiseled VIKINGS wordmark. A Nordic knot pattern drawn from the Gjallarhorn at U.S. Bank Stadium wraps the shoulders and runs down the pants. The matte purple helmet keeps the ivory horn, adds a gold knot stripe and a gold face mask, and spells SKOL in runes on the front bumper. It debuts on Sunday Night Football against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, December 20.
This is four ideas fighting each other on top of the best base uniform in the division. The Purple Dynasty shade is deeper and duller than Minnesota's regular purple and goes flat under stadium light, which turns down the contrast on the team's single greatest asset. The gold face mask closes off the front of the helmet that the white horn and light cage usually keep sharp. Then the knots, the rune numbers, the new wordmark and the rune bumper all compete, and none of them gets room to land.
It grades an F, the same mark we gave it in our Rivalries uniforms ranking, where it finished fifteenth of sixteen, ahead of only Miami. The rune numbers are the one piece worth saving.
4. Winter Warrior
Winter Warrior is Minnesota's all-white alternate: a white jersey and white pants accented with metallic gray and purple, worn under the first all-white helmet in franchise history. It is back for a third straight season, and it has one date in 2026, the Week 16 "Winter Whiteout" home game against the Washington Commanders, with the date and time still to be set. Winter Whiteout is the name of the game-day theme. Winter Warrior is the name of the uniform.
We like the idea a lot. Minnesota is a cold-weather team that plays a December brand of football, and the metallic gray trim reads like frost on the sleeves. With the crowd in white to match, it plays as an event rather than a jersey swap. The purple horn on the white shell is the detail that keeps it from looking generic.
It grades a B+, the grade we gave it on the schedule post. What holds it back is the same thing that makes it work: with white from helmet to cleats, purple is left to trim, and purple is the best thing this franchise owns.
3. White Road
The white road jersey carries purple numbers trimmed in gold and the curved horn stripe on the shoulders, worn under the purple helmet with either purple or white pants. It projects to all eight road games: at the Bears in Week 2, the Buccaneers, Saints, Lions, Packers and Patriots, the Week 11 game against San Francisco in Mexico City on Sunday, November 22 (the 49ers are the designated home team), and at the Jets in Week 17. The Vikings have not announced road jerseys game by game, so these follow the standard convention and are our projection.
The purple pants are what make this jersey. With white pants it is a tidy road set that looks like a lot of road sets. With purple below the waist, the whole uniform takes on Minnesota's color from the helmet down, and it looks expensive on a broadcast in a way most white jerseys never do.
It grades a B+. It ranks above the Winter Warrior because it lets purple frame the white instead of hiding it, and the best way to see it this year is Week 8 at Detroit, where Honolulu blue gives it a bright opponent.
2. Purple Home
The purple home jersey has white numbers outlined in gold and the same horn stripe on the shoulders, worn under the purple helmet with the white horn. Minnesota has confirmed it for six home games. Five are purple over white pants: the Miami Dolphins in Week 4 on Sunday, October 4, the Buffalo Bills on Monday, November 9, when Adrian Peterson enters the Ring of Honor, the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12, the Carolina Panthers in Week 13, and the Chicago Bears in Week 18.
The sixth is the All-Purple game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, October 25, which is this same jersey worn with purple pants. That is the boldest thing the Vikings do with their standard set, and we are on the side that likes it: it is the one version of the uniform where the color is the whole statement. The white pants are the more classic look. The purple pants are the more Minnesota one.
It grades an A-. Minnesota owns one of the two or three best base colors in football, and this jersey puts it front and center without getting in its own way.
1. Classic
The Classic is the throwback: a deeper, richer purple jersey with oversized slab-serif numbers, gold trim and the old sleeve stripes, worn with white pants carrying a gold stripe flanked by purple, and topped by the vintage horn helmet with a gray facemask. It had its 2026 date in Week 1, the home opener against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, September 13, a game built around the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Minnesota won 39-22, and against Green Bay's gold and white it was one of the best pictures of the opening weekend.
The gray facemask does the heavy lifting. The modern purple cage flattens the front of the helmet, and the gray makes the whole thing look like a photograph from 1975. The jersey is just as disciplined, a straight line back to the Purple People Eaters era with none of the modern trim.
It grades an A-, the same as the purple home jersey, and it takes the top spot because it is the best thing hanging in Minnesota's closet. It is also the clearest argument against the Rivalries set: the Vikings already had the right way to wear history.

The Bottom Line on the Vikings Jersey Rankings
Four of the five Vikings jerseys are good, and the top two are among the best in the league. The Classic and the purple home jersey both grade an A-, the white road jersey and the Winter Warrior both land at B+, and they all win the same way: they let the purple, or the absence of it, make the point.
The Rivalries uniform is the exception, an F that takes the strongest hand in the 2026 class and spends it on Norse set dressing. It debuts on Sunday night in December, which means the biggest audience of Minnesota's season gets its weakest look.
Frequently Asked Questions
What jerseys do the Vikings have in 2026?
Five: the purple home jersey, the white road jersey, the Classic throwback, the all-white Winter Warrior, and the new Rivalries uniform. The All-Purple look in Week 7 is the purple home jersey worn with purple pants, not a separate jersey.
What is the best Vikings jersey?
We rank the Classic first with an A-. The deeper purple, slab-serif numbers and the horn helmet with a gray facemask make it the best thing in Minnesota's closet, just ahead of the purple home jersey, which also grades an A-.
What jersey are the Vikings wearing this week?
Week 2 is at the Chicago Bears on Sunday, September 20 at 1:00 p.m. ET, and Minnesota is projected in the white road jersey under the purple helmet, with purple pants our read. Chicago is projected in navy. That is a projection until kickoff, so check the NFL uniform tracker after the game.
Do the Vikings have a new jersey in 2026?

Once, at home against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, December 20 at 7:20 p.m. on Sunday Night Football. It stays in the rotation for three seasons.

Once, in the Week 16 Winter Whiteout home game against the Washington Commanders. The date and time are still to be set because the league holds late-season windows for flexible scheduling.
