Buffalo Bills Jerseys 2026: Every Jersey Ranked, From Royal Blue to Nickel City

By ColorWay Sports Staff·
Track the Buffalo BillsNFL

The Bills have five jerseys on the field in 2026, more than almost anyone in the league, and every one of them has a job. Royal blue carries the big home dates, white carries the road, the red alternate closes the season, Cold Front gets Salute to Service against Miami, and the new gray Nickel City set gets two home games. Buffalo also published the jersey for every home game before the season, so most of this list is confirmed rather than guessed. We put the Bills eleventh in our best NFL uniforms of 2026 at an A-, and the gap between the top of this closet and the bottom is wider than that grade suggests.

Here are all five Buffalo Bills jerseys for 2026, ranked worst to first and graded, with the helmet and pants each one wears. For the week-by-week jersey schedule 2026, the Bills 2026 uniform schedule has every game.

5. Nickel City

ColorWay Sports Grade
C+

Nickel City is the new alternate for 2026, a gray jersey worn with gray pants. The striping comes in shifting shades of gray, and the chest wordmark is replaced by a logo patch on the left side. It is worn under "The Charge," a new royal blue helmet with a metallic flake finish and a single red stripe. Buffalo has confirmed two home dates: the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, September 27, for the Huddle for Hunger and Hispanic Heritage game, and the Chicago Bears on Saturday, December 19.

The helmet is the best new piece Buffalo has made in years. The jersey is the problem. Gray on gray takes the brightest palette in the AFC and turns it down to nothing, and without a second color below the waist, the blue socks and the blue shell do all the work of keeping it from reading as one gray block. A December Saturday in Buffalo with snow on the field is the best case for it, and the team picked that date for a reason.

It grades a C+, the same grade we gave it in our Nickel City breakdown. Put the Charge helmet on a royal blue jersey and it climbs a full grade.

4. Cold Front

ColorWay Sports Grade
B-

Cold Front is Buffalo's NFL x Nike Rivalries uniform from the 2025 AFC East class: an all-white jersey and pants with silver and frost-blue numbers and a cracked-ice texture across the shoulders. The helmet is white with a metal-flake finish, a cracked-ice center stripe and a frosted silver charging buffalo. It has one date in 2026: at home against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, November 22, the Salute to Service game.

The idea is the best in the Rivalries program. A cold-weather team dressing like the weather against a warm-weather visitor explains itself from the top row, and with snow falling it is one of the best pictures in the sport. Without the snow it has a real contrast problem. Silver and pale blue numbers on white nearly disappear on a bright afternoon, and the cracked ice reads better in a photo than it does on a broadcast.

It grades a B-, the same mark it holds in our Rivalries uniforms ranking, where it places fifth of sixteen. It is a great story on a jersey that needs the weather to finish the job.

3. Red Alternate

B+
Buffalo Bills Red Alternate jersey 2026

The red alternate has white numbers and royal blue sleeve stripes, and it closes the regular season at home against the New York Jets in Week 18. The game carries the Play 60, Coach of the Week and high school football celebrations, and the date is still open because the NFL sets Week 18 late.

This is the loudest jersey in the closet, and it earns the volume. The royal stripes on red keep the Bills palette intact instead of swapping it out, so it still reads as Buffalo from the first frame. A red home finale against a division rival in January is exactly where it belongs.

It grades a B+. What keeps it out of the A range is that red is Buffalo's third color, and a jersey built on the trim will never look as settled as one built on the royal.

2. White Road

ColorWay Sports Grade
A-

The white road jersey has royal blue numbers outlined in red and blue and red sleeve stripes, worn under the white helmet with blue or white pants depending on the week. It projects to eight of nine road games: at the Rams, Raiders, Vikings, Jets, Patriots, Packers, Broncos and Dolphins. The Bills have not announced the road half week by week, so those follow the standard rule. The one road game in color was the opener at Houston, where the Texans wore white and Buffalo won 36-31 in royal blue.

This is also the jersey behind the Christmas Day look. For Week 16 at Denver on Friday, December 25, Buffalo pairs it with white pants and the red helmet, the shell the team wore from 1984 to 2010. We graded that combination an A+ in the schedule post, and it is the best way this franchise can dress: an all-white body with the red shell as the only real color on the field. Week 17 at Miami, against the Dolphins' near-black Dark Water, should also be one of the better pictures of the season.

It grades an A-. The sleeve stripes are clean and the red outline gives the numbers real weight on white. The Christmas combination is an A+, but that is the helmet doing the work, not a new jersey.

1. Royal Blue Home

ColorWay Sports Grade
A

The royal blue home jersey has white numbers outlined in red and striped sleeves, worn under the white helmet. Buffalo gave it the four biggest home dates that are not alternate games: the Detroit Lions on Thursday, September 17, the first regular-season game at the new Highmark Stadium, then Crucial Catch against the New England Patriots in Week 4, Native American Heritage against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8, and Thanksgiving night against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 12. It also opened the season on the road at Houston with blue pants, the all-blue look below the white shell.

This is the Bills uniform most people picture, and it is the best use of the best palette in the AFC. Royal blue is bright without being loud, the red outline makes the numbers pop from anywhere, and the white helmet with the charging buffalo sits on top of it perfectly. Opening a new stadium in it, over red end zones the fans voted for, says the team knows it too.

It grades an A, the top mark in the closet. Nothing Buffalo has added since, from gray to cracked ice, looks as much like the Bills as this does.

The Bottom Line on the Bills Jersey Rankings

The Bills jerseys rank by how much royal blue and red each one keeps. Royal blue is the identity and grades an A. White is an A- with the best single combination on the schedule, red is a strong B+, Cold Front is a B- that needs snow, and Nickel City is a C+ that hides a great helmet on a gray jersey.

Five jerseys is a lot, but Buffalo gives each one a clear job. The only thing we would change is the gray: the Charge helmet deserves a better jersey underneath it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What jerseys do the Bills have in 2026?

Five: royal blue at home, white on the road, the red alternate, the all-white Cold Front Rivalries jersey, and the new gray Nickel City alternate. The red-helmet Christmas look is the white jersey with white pants and the red helmet, not a separate jersey.

What is the best Bills jersey?

We rank the royal blue home jersey first and grade it an A. It puts Buffalo's best color front and center, and the red-outlined numbers read from anywhere in the stadium.

What jersey are the Bills wearing this week?

Week 2 is at home against the Detroit Lions on Thursday, September 17, the first regular-season game at the new Highmark Stadium. Buffalo has confirmed the white helmet, royal blue jersey and white pants, and Detroit is projected in white. Check the NFL uniform tracker after kickoff.

Do the Bills have a new jersey in 2026?

Yes. Nickel City, a gray jersey and gray pants set worn with the new royal blue Charge helmet, debuts on Sunday, September 27 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

When do the Bills wear the red jersey in 2026?

Once, at home against the New York Jets in Week 18. The NFL has not set the date yet. The red helmet is separate: it comes out with the white jersey on Christmas Day at Denver.

When do the Bills wear the Nickel City and Cold Front uniforms in 2026?

Nickel City is worn twice, both at home: Sunday, September 27 against the Chargers and Saturday, December 19 against the Bears. Cold Front is worn once, at home against the Dolphins on Sunday, November 22, the Salute to Service game.
