Atlanta Falcons Jerseys 2026: Every Jersey Ranked, From 1966 Throwback to White

The Falcons unveiled a new set on April 2, and the headline is simple: red is the primary home jersey again. Atlanta has three jerseys on the field in 2026, the new red and white sets under a low-gloss black helmet with a silver facemask, and the 1966 throwback, the only time all season the Falcons wear a red helmet. We put Atlanta twenty-eighth in our best NFL uniforms of 2026 at a B-. The redesign fixed the mistakes of 2020, but it played it safe, and the best thing in the closet is still the oldest.

Here are all three Atlanta Falcons jerseys for 2026, ranked worst to first and graded, with the helmet and pants each one wears. Atlanta published its full jersey schedule 2026 on September 10, so every date below is the team's own; the Falcons 2026 uniform schedule has the week-by-week grid.

3. White

ColorWay Sports Grade
B

The white road jersey has red numbers, an ATLANTA wordmark across the chest and red piping down the sides, and it comes with two pants options: white with red piping, or black with red striping. It opened the season at Pittsburgh under the black helmet with white pants, a 20-13 loss. It is confirmed for all seven road games where the host wears color: at the Steelers in Week 1, the Packers on Thursday night in Week 3, the Buccaneers in Week 8, the Vikings in Week 12, the Browns in Week 14, the Commanders in Week 15 and the Panthers in Week 18.

White over white is the better version of this look. The red numbers pop without black pants weighing down the bottom half, and against Pittsburgh the only thing the two teams shared was a black shell. The jersey itself is the red set with the values flipped, which is the right idea and not much more. It is clean, it is readable, and it is nothing anyone will remember.

It grades a B, the same mark we gave it at the reveal in our Falcons new uniforms breakdown. It ranks below the red only because a white jersey is not where Atlanta's identity lives.

2. Red

ColorWay Sports Grade
B

The red home jersey has white numbers, a smaller FALCONS wordmark above the number and "Dirty Birds" inside the collar, and it pairs with white pants whose striping is drawn from the 1966 design with a silver layer running through it. It is confirmed for eight games: the Carolina Panthers in Week 2, the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night in Week 5, the Chicago Bears in Week 6, the Cincinnati Bengals in Madrid in Week 9, where Atlanta is the designated home team, the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 10, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16 and the New Orleans Saints in Week 17. The eighth is on the road, the Monday night game at New Orleans in Week 4, where the Saints wear white at home and Atlanta stays in red.

Going back to red is the best decision in the redesign. Atlanta had drifted into black as its default and looked like four other teams doing it, and a black helmet over a red jersey is far more its own. The weak spots are the shoulder, where the logo, the number and the Nike swoosh crowd the same space, and the helmet. The silver facemask separates the shell from the jersey, but there is almost no silver anywhere else in the uniform, so it reads disconnected once the red fills the frame.

It grades a B, the same mark we gave it at the reveal and kept after its first game under lights. Clean, correct and a little forgettable, and still the jersey that should define this era.

1. 1966 Throwback

ColorWay Sports Grade
A-

The 1966 throwback is a black jersey worn with white pants, tri-color red, black and white socks and a red helmet, the only red shell Atlanta puts on all season. It is confirmed for two home games at Mercedes-Benz Stadium: the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, October 25 in Week 7, and the Detroit Lions on Sunday, December 6 in Week 13. Both are 1:00 p.m. kickoffs, and both opponents will be in white. The alternate-helmet rule allows the red shell in up to three games, so a third date is possible, but nothing has been announced.

The red helmet is the whole argument. Almost nobody in the league wears one, and over a black jersey it gives Atlanta a look that belongs to no one else. The white pants give the set a hard break at the waist, and the striping is the original that the new home pants borrow from. It is also the only black jersey in the closet now, so it lands as an event rather than a default, which is exactly how an alternate should work.

It grades an A-, the top mark in the closet. The throwback has been the best thing Atlanta owns for years, and the redesign was smart enough to keep it.

The Bottom Line on the Falcons Jersey Rankings

The Falcons jerseys rank by how much of the past they carry. The 1966 throwback is the best look in the closet and grades an A-. The new red and white jerseys both grade a B: a real correction from the 2020 set, and a safe one.

Red at home is the right call, and the silver facemask is the piece we would still change. The two throwback dates, October 25 and December 6, are the games to circle.
