NHL Military Appreciation Night Jerseys 2026: Every Team's Date and Warmup Look

By Jake Daneshgar·

Veterans Day falls on Wednesday, November 11, and most NHL teams hold their Military Appreciation night within a week or so of it. Canadian clubs do the same around Remembrance Day, which is the same date, and some hold a separate Canadian Armed Forces night later in the season.

This is every 2026-27 military night we could find on a team's own schedule or announcement. We checked every matchup against the NHL schedule, and the team listed is the home team in each one. If a team hasn't posted a date, it's in the "Not announced yet" list below. We did not carry over last season's dates.

A note on the jerseys: in past seasons, a lot of teams have worn camouflage jerseys in warmups and then auctioned them for military charities. The Rangers wore custom camo warmup jerseys and camo stick tape in 2022, and the Sharks auctioned the military warmup jerseys their roster wore in 2019. Most of the 2026-27 schedules below don't say what players will wear, so we only list a warmup jersey when the team has said so. We'll add the looks as teams show them.

Hockey Fights Cancer nights are also in November, but they're a separate event and aren't covered here.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is NHL Military Appreciation Night in 2026? There isn't one league-wide date. Each team picks its own. Most are in the first half of November, around Veterans Day on Wednesday, Nov. 11. This season they run from the Bruins on Nov. 2 to the Flyers on Nov. 17, and a few teams hold theirs later in the season.

Which NHL teams have a Military Appreciation game on Veterans Day 2026? Four U.S. teams host one on Nov. 11: the Ducks (vs. Nashville), Golden Knights (vs. Utah), Sharks (vs. Pittsburgh) and Sabres (vs. Tampa Bay). In Canada, the Flames (vs. the Rangers) and Oilers (vs. Philadelphia) hold Remembrance Day games that night.

Do NHL teams wear camo jerseys in games? Not in the game itself. When teams wear camouflage, it has been in pregame warmups. The game sweaters stay the same. For example, the Rangers wore custom camo warmup jerseys and camo-taped sticks on their 2022 Military Appreciation Night.

Is every team wearing camo warmup jerseys this year? We don't know yet. Most of the 2026-27 schedules don't say what players will wear in warmups. We only list a warmup jersey once a team has announced or shown it.

Can you buy the Military Appreciation warmup jerseys? The jerseys players wear are usually auctioned off for military charities. This season, the Bruins Foundation is auctioning team-issued, autographed military jerseys online from Nov. 2 to Nov. 10. For fans, the NHL's online shop sells camo Military Appreciation practice jerseys for many teams, but those are retail versions, not player-worn.

Is Hockey Fights Cancer the same as Military Appreciation? No. Hockey Fights Cancer is a separate campaign, also held in November, with its own theme nights. This list covers military nights only.

What do Canadian NHL teams do for the military? They usually hold a Remembrance Day game on or near Nov. 11, a Canadian Armed Forces night, or both. This season the Flames and Oilers do both, the Canadiens hold a Military Appreciation Night on Nov. 5, the Jets host on Dec. 8, and the Senators host on Jan. 25. The Maple Leafs and Canucks haven't posted their dates yet.
