Our read is Week 5 against Chicago. A brand-new alternate wants the biggest possible stage, Bears-Packers is the league's marquee rivalry, and a Week 18 finale with a floating kickoff is the worst slot to bet a launch on.

Packers Fans Get Two Rivalries Looks This Year

Here is the wrinkle that makes Green Bay's 2026 unusual. Chicago has already confirmed it will debut its own Rivalries uniform against the Packers on Christmas Day, which is Week 16 at Soldier Field. So Green Bay is on the field for two different Rivalries debuts in the same season: their own at home, and Chicago's on the road on December 25. No other team has that on its calendar.

Minnesota's home schedule adds one more confirmed detail. The Vikings have announced they will wear their classic uniforms against the Packers, which is Green Bay's Week 1 trip to Minnesota on September 13. So the season opens with the Packers in road whites opposite a throwback.

The All-White Alternate

Green Bay has run an all-white alternate for the last couple of seasons, and has generally paired it with a throwback in the same year, the 1923 Classic navy set in 2025.
