The Full 2026 Panthers Uniform Schedule, Week by Week

Week 1 combination, confirmed by the team on Friday: black helmet, blue jersey, black pants. Carolina posted the look in its Fit Check Friday note ahead of the Bears game, the same black-on-blue combination it wore in the 2024 Germany game and in last year's home opener against Atlanta. Combinations are compiled from the teams' own game-week posts, and the tracker logs what is actually worn once the game is played.

Every cell on that grid is confirmed by the Panthers. The one thing pants and socks are not: the release says those get announced closer to each game, so the jersey is settled and the rest of the combination is not.

Carolina Answered the Black vs Blue Question

For most of the offseason this was the one team in the league whose home jersey nobody could call. The Panthers treat black and Panther blue as co-primaries, wear both at home several times a season, and had never published the order in advance. On September 4 they did.

The split is not close. Black gets six home games. Panther blue gets three.

Blue draws the home opener against Chicago in Week 1, and the team has since confirmed the black helmet for that game, Tampa Bay in Week 7, and New Orleans in Week 14. Black takes everything else: Detroit on Sunday night in Week 4, Denver in Week 9, Baltimore in Week 11, Cincinnati in Week 15, Seattle in Week 17, and the Atlanta finale in Week 18. Every road game is white, which is the one part of this that was never in doubt.

Two of blue's three dates are division games, which reads like a deliberate choice to save the distinctive shirt for the teams Carolina plays twice. The home opener getting blue is the right instinct. Handing black the Sunday night game is the part we would argue with.

Panther Blue Is the Best Thing They Own

We wrote in August that blue should be the primary and black should be the alternate, and that the Week 4 Sunday nighter against Detroit was where we would put it. Carolina published the opposite: black on Sunday night, and blue held to three games all season. We will keep making the case.

Panther blue is a colour nobody else in the league uses. It is a process blue, brighter and cooler than the navies that fill the NFC, and against the silver helmet it produces the only look Carolina has that could not belong to another team. The black jersey is well executed and completely anonymous. Half the league owns a black alternate, and in a division where Atlanta just went back to red and New Orleans owns black-and-gold outright, black is the least differentiating thing Carolina could wear.

The all-black combination has its defenders and it does look good under lights. It just does not look like Carolina specifically.

Home Games (9): Six Black, Three Blue

Weeks 1, 4, 7, 9, 11, 14, 15, 17 and 18. Panther blue goes in Week 1 against Chicago, Week 7 against Tampa Bay and Week 14 against New Orleans. Is There a Throwback or Alternate Coming?

That is also where the remaining uncertainty lives. Pants and socks are still announced week to week, and the club said so explicitly in the release. Carolina runs black, silver and white pants and swaps the helmet between black and silver, so a confirmed jersey still leaves several possible looks. The jersey question is closed. The combination question is not.
