Rams debut the gold Classic Sol on Monday night, their first gold jersey in a decade
The Rams wear the gold Classic Sol for the first time on Monday night against the Giants. It is a tribute to the 1951 NFL championship team: royal triple striping on the sleeves, block numbers, and white pants with a blue, gold, blue stripe down each leg.
It is also the first gold jersey the Rams have worn since the all-gold Color Rush set in 2015. They wear it twice this season, both in prime time, with the second date December 3 against the Chiefs on Thursday night.
Interesting call. I would have thought they'd go with the usual home uniform for the home opener, but it's nice to debut a new alternate on a big opening night game. I don't mind this.
