Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and college football is dressing for it. Week 9 of the 2026 season has the best set of Halloween uniforms we have seen in years. Nebraska debuts its new black alternate against Washington in the second Blackout game at Memorial Stadium. Syracuse wears an Otto the Orange helmet for the first time ever against No. 19 SMU. No. 8 BYU goes all navy for Arizona State, UCF wears its tenth Space Game uniform against Baylor on Friday night, and Navy wears its 1926 national championship throwback against No. 5 Notre Dame at Gillette Stadium. Iowa State, UNLV, East Carolina and Louisville have all announced something different, and Fresno State is teasing a new look. On the field, No. 3 Georgia and No. 17 Florida meet in Atlanta, No. 2 Ohio State visits USC on Saturday night, and No. 1 Miami goes to North Carolina.
Below is every Halloween uniform announced so far, then every game this week involving an AP Top 25 team or one of the programs we track in our college uniform schedules, with kickoff time, TV and what each team is wearing. A look is marked Confirmed when the school itself has posted it. When a school has not posted yet, we give our projection from that team's uniform schedule and label it Expected. Most schools post their combination between Monday and game day, so this page fills in all week, and on Saturday we confirm every look from the game broadcasts and team photos, then add final scores. Every Halloween Uniform Announced for Week 9
- Nebraska: black alternate debut (Confirmed). Black helmet with a metallic red Huskers script and a red crop-row stripe, black jersey, black pants, vs. Washington.
- Syracuse: first-ever Otto helmet (Confirmed). White helmet with a cartoon Otto decal and a navy and orange stripe, vs. No. 19 SMU.
- BYU: all navy (Confirmed). Navy helmet, navy jersey, navy pants, vs. Arizona State.
- UCF: Space Game, Mission X (Confirmed). White helmet with a red stripe, a flag-filled UCF logo and a chrome gold facemask and visor, white jersey, white pants, Friday vs. Baylor. The full helmet was shown Tuesday.
- Navy: 1926 centennial throwback (Confirmed). Gold helmet, navy jersey with nine gold chevron stripes, gold pants, vs. No. 5 Notre Dame.
- Iowa State: "halloween threads" (Confirmed). Black helmet with a white Cynado logo, black jersey, black pants, vs. No. 24 Oklahoma State.
- UNLV: "Black is back" (Confirmed). Red helmet, black jersey with REBELS across the chest, vs. Northern Illinois.
- East Carolina: marching PeeDee helmet (Confirmed). White helmet with PeeDee the Pirate marching on the side, vs. Temple.
- Louisville: For The Ville debut (Announced in August). Black jersey and pants built on Muhammad Ali's boxing gear, vs. Stanford.
- Fresno State: "new look set to debut" (Teased). A new helmet shown only in shadow, vs. Oregon State.

Washington at Nebraska: The Black Alternate Debuts on Halloween
Saturday, 8 p.m. (7 p.m. Central), BTN. Nebraska: Confirmed, black alternate. Nebraska Athletics unveiled the uniform on August 15 under the theme "Our Red Burns Brighter," with Nebraska Football posting it as "Darkness Returns," and the school said then that it would debut in the Halloween home game against Washington, the second annual Blackout game at Memorial Stadium. On Monday of game week the team doubled down with an "Embrace Darkness" game graphic and a call for fans to wear black.
Here is what Nebraska has shown. The helmet is black, and it carries the Huskers script in metallic red, the first time the script has been on the helmet, plus a metallic red center stripe with a crop-row pattern, a nod to the state's farms, and GBR on the front bumper. Nebraska says the back of the helmet has an "A Winning Tradition" emblem. The jersey is black with NEBRASKA across the chest and white numbers trimmed in red. Nebraska says the metallic red details are inspired by the flames, fireworks and light shows at Memorial Stadium, that the back hem has a perforated Block N for the pregame drone show, and that the collar is lined with "A Winning Tradition." Our Nebraska schedule has the pants as black with red stripes. Nebraska is also using the night to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Eric Crouch's Heisman season.
Our take: this is the one to watch on Halloween. The black shell with the red script is a real change for a program that almost never touches its helmet, and the crop-row stripe is the kind of local detail that makes an alternate feel like it belongs to one school. Washington: Expected, white. Washington posted "Haunting in Husker country" on Monday but has not shown its uniform. As the visitor it should be in white, which makes this white against all black. No. 19 SMU at Syracuse: Otto Goes on the Helmet
Saturday, noon, ESPN2. Syracuse: Confirmed, Otto helmet. Syracuse posted "Hall of Fame lids" on Monday and said it will "debut helmets featuring our Hall of Fame mascot Otto for the FIRST TIME ever" on October 31. The photos show a white helmet with a cartoon Otto on the side: an orange, fuzzy Otto in an orange cap with a navy S, pointing, with navy arms and legs. An orange center stripe with navy on both sides runs front to back, the facemask is white and ACC sits on the front bumper in orange. Syracuse followed it on Tuesday with a video titled "New Otto lids for Saturday."
Syracuse has only shown the helmet. It wore the navy jersey and orange pants in its home games against New Hampshire and Cal, so that is the Expected pairing until the team posts the full set. Arizona State at No. 8 BYU: All Navy in Provo
Saturday, 3:30 p.m. (1:30 p.m. Mountain), FOX. BYU: Confirmed, all navy. BYU posted "this week's uni combo" on Monday with a Gameday Threads, Game 08, vs Arizona State graphic: a navy helmet with a navy and white center stripe, the white oval Y and a navy facemask, a navy jersey with white numbers, white shoulder stripes and the oval Y set in the collar, and navy pants with white side stripes. White is the only other color on the uniform. BYU is coming off its first loss of the season, 39-31 in double overtime at UCF.

Baylor at UCF: The Tenth Space Game
Friday, 7:30 p.m., ESPN. UCF: Confirmed, Mission X Space Game uniform. UCF revealed the 2026 Space Game set on September 29, posted as "The 2026 UCF SpaceU uniform." The Big 12 moved the game to Friday night, and it is the tenth Space Game, the tradition built on UCF's origins as a school founded to supply talent to the space program at nearby Kennedy Space Center. This year's theme, Mission X, looks back to NASA's earliest crewed programs, Mercury, Gemini and Apollo.
The reveal photo shows a white helmet with a red center stripe and a chrome gold facemask, a white jersey with navy numbers trimmed in light blue and a light blue V at the collar, and white pants. It is a long way from last year's HyperSpace set and its carbon fiber helmet. UCF comes in off what it called the highest ranked win in program history, 39-31 in double overtime over a BYU team that was No. 2.
New Tuesday: the full SpaceU helmet. UCF posted "The 2026 SpaceU helmet" on October 27, and the 360-degree video shows details the September reveal did not. The UCF logo on the side is filled with an American flag, stars on top and stripes below, outlined in black. The chrome gold facemask carries a matching gold visor, the front bumper reads SPACEU, and the back bumper reads Walt Disney World, above a "26" with a flag decal and a cartoon astronaut. It is the most detailed helmet UCF has made for the Space Game, and it is the one piece of this set worth seeing up close.

No. 5 Notre Dame vs. Navy at Gillette Stadium: The 1926 Throwback
Saturday, noon, ABC, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. Navy: Confirmed, 1926 centennial uniform. Navy announced on September 15 that it would wear a uniform honoring the 100th anniversary of its 1926 national championship team, the only national title in program history, and that it would wear it once, in this game. The jersey is navy with gold chevron stripes, nine in all, four on the front and five on the back, one for each win by the 9-0-1 team of 1926. The numbers are gold, there is a 100th anniversary national championship patch, and it goes with Navy's plain gold helmet and gold pants. Navy is the designated home team.

No. 24 Oklahoma State at Iowa State: Halloween Threads
Saturday, 7 p.m. (6 p.m. Central), FS1. Iowa State: Confirmed, blacked out. Iowa State posted "halloween threads" with three black circles on Tuesday, and the video shows a black helmet with a white center stripe and a big white Cynado on the side, the logo of Cy the Cardinal riding a tornado, in place of the usual script. The jersey is black with IOWA STATE across the chest in white, white numbers and white stripes on the shoulders, and the full-length shots show black pants, so it is black from top to bottom: the three black circles. The video opens with a player tossing away the cardinal jersey and helmet, which is the point. Former Cyclone tight end Jake Ferguson summed it up: blackout uniforms, Cynado on the helmet. Iowa State is coming off a 39-3 loss at Arizona.

Northern Illinois at UNLV: Black Is Back
Saturday, 10:30 p.m. (7:30 p.m. Pacific), CBSSN, at Allegiant Stadium. UNLV: Confirmed, red helmet and black jersey. UNLV posted "Black is back" on Tuesday with a casino-themed video. It shows a red helmet with the white UNLV wordmark on the side, a black jersey with REBELS across the chest in white trimmed in red, white numbers trimmed in red and the UNLV logo on the chest, and black pants in the full-length shot. Temple at East Carolina: PeeDee Marches onto the Helmet
Saturday, 3 p.m., ESPN+. East Carolina: Confirmed, marching PeeDee helmet. ECU posted "New lids featuring marching PeeDee" on Tuesday, debuting this weekend for Fan Appreciation Day. The helmet is white with no stripe, a gold facemask, and PeeDee the Pirate marching across the side in purple and gold. ECU has not shown the jersey and pants yet; purple is Expected at home. Stanford at Louisville: For The Ville
Saturday, 3:15 p.m., ACC Network. Louisville: Announced, For The Ville. Louisville said in August that its For The Ville uniform "will make its on-field debut Oct. 31 against Stanford." The set is built around Muhammad Ali, a Louisville native, and his boxing gear. The team's photos show a black jersey with an oversized LOUISVILLE in white block letters and white numbers, black pants with a gold circle carrying the Cardinal head on the hip, and a black helmet with CARDINALS on the back bumper, with the players posing in boxing gloves. Oregon State at Fresno State: A New Look, Still in the Shadows
Saturday, 11 p.m. (8 p.m. Pacific), USA Network. Fresno State: Teased. Fresno State posted "new look set to debut on Saturday" on Monday with a short video. It shows a dark helmet with an outline of the Bulldog head on the side and 'DOGS on the front bumper, all lit in purple and red, so we cannot call the colors yet. No. 17 Florida vs. No. 3 Georgia in Atlanta
Saturday, 3:30 p.m., ABC, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The rivalry moves to Atlanta this year while EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville is renovated. Florida: Expected, orange helmet, white jersey, white pants. That comes from Florida's own published 2026 uniform schedule, but Florida switched to the blue helmet at Texas after listing orange, so we will wait for the game-week post. Other Halloween Notes
- Utah State is calling its game against Colorado State a Black Out and dropped black merch for fans. The team has not shown a uniform.
- Air Force is calling for a blackout against UConn and posted that "the Space Force look is set," with a Space Force merch relaunch. It has not shown a game uniform.
- Boise State calls its night game against Texas State "The Blue After Dark," with a T-shirt giveaway, a trunk-or-treat tailgate and costumes encouraged. That is a fan theme, not a uniform.
- Indiana has Homecoming against Minnesota, and ESPN's College GameDay is coming to Bloomington. Indiana posted "It's Homecoming week in Bloomington" on Tuesday with a game-week graphic, but no uniform yet. Indiana usually shows its combination later in the week.
- Duke is promoting a costume contest at Wallace Wade Stadium against Boston College.

Florida's published season schedule lists the orange helmet, white jersey and white pants, which would put Georgia in red. Neither team has posted a game-week look yet. The game is at Mercedes-Benz Stadium because EverBank Stadium is being renovated.
