Georgia Southern Uniform Schedule 2026: Every Jersey and When the Eagles Wear It

Georgia Southern wears one of the plainest uniforms in college football on purpose, and this year the most interesting date on its calendar is a tribute to the coach who made plain a point of pride. This is the full Georgia Southern 2026 uniform schedule: the navy helmet with the player's number on the side, the navy and white jerseys, every game played so far and the expected look for the rest of the season, including the Erk 100 White Out against App State on October 31. We update this page as each combination is confirmed.

The Georgia Southern 2026 Uniform Sets

Georgia Southern's look comes straight from Erk Russell, the coach who restarted the program in 1982 and won three Division I-AA national titles in Statesboro. The plain helmet with a number on the side is the look fans associate with the program, and in 2026 the Eagles have worn it in every game. The uniforms are Adidas, the jerseys now carry names on the back, and the variety comes from the pants: white below the navy jersey at home, and both navy and white below the white jersey on the road.

This season carries extra weight. Russell would have turned 100 on July 23, 2026, and the athletic department built an Erk 100 campaign around it, with the centerpiece set for the App State game on October 31 as a stadium-wide White Out. The last time Georgia Southern staged a White Out, against Marshall in October 2024, the team completed it with white helmets carrying ERK on the front and One More Time, one of Russell's favorite phrases, on the back bumper. The Eagles have rarely worn white helmets in program history. Nothing has been announced for 2026 yet, but that is the precedent.

The Full Georgia Southern 2026 Uniform Schedule, Week by Week

September 5 vs. Charleston Southern. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast and Georgia Southern's game photography: navy helmet, navy jersey, white pants for the opener at Allen E. Paulson Stadium, Little Eagles Day and Teacher Appreciation. The Eagles led 21-0 after one quarter and won 31-0.

September 12 at Clemson. ★ Confirmed from Georgia Southern's game photography, dated to the day of the game: navy helmet, white jersey, navy pants, the one look this season with navy below a white top. Clemson wore orange over white and won 22-7 after a weather-delayed start. Our Clemson 2026 uniform schedule has the Tigers side.

September 19 at Jacksonville State. ★ Confirmed from Georgia Southern's game photography, dated to the day of the game: navy helmet, white jersey, white pants. Jacksonville State wore red at home. Georgia Southern led 24-10 at halftime, but the Gamecocks rallied in the second half and won 31-27.

September 26 vs. Houston. ★ Confirmed from Georgia Southern's game photography: navy helmet, navy jersey, white pants for Hall of Fame Day and Celebrate Agriculture Day. No. 25 Houston wore the white helmet, white jersey and red pants and won 42-28. More on our Houston 2026 uniform schedule.

October 3 at Coastal Carolina. White expected. The Sun Belt opener at Brooks Stadium, 7 p.m. Eastern on ESPN+, and Coastal's Family Weekend and Hall of Fame weekend. Coastal is expected in teal, which makes this one of the better color matchups on the schedule. See our Coastal Carolina 2026 uniform schedule.

October 10 vs. James Madison. Navy expected. Family Weekend and Tackling for a Cure at Paulson Stadium, 6 p.m. Eastern on ESPN+. JMU is expected in white; our James Madison 2026 uniform schedule has the Dukes.

October 15 at Old Dominion. White expected. A Thursday night at S.B. Ballard Stadium, 7:30 p.m. Eastern.

October 24. Bye.

October 31 vs. App State. To be announced, and the date that matters most. This is the Erk 100 game and a stadium-wide White Out against Georgia Southern's biggest rival. The last White Out, in 2024, brought out white helmets with ERK on the front and One More Time on the bumper, so a white look is the obvious candidate. We will not put it in the grid until Georgia Southern announces it. Our App State 2026 uniform schedule has the Mountaineers.

November 7 vs. Marshall. Navy expected. Homecoming and Salute to Service, another home date where a special helmet decal or patch is common. See our Marshall 2026 uniform schedule.

November 14 at Georgia State. White expected. Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta, kickoff time still to be set.

November 21 at Troy. White expected. Kickoff time still to be set.

November 28 vs. Louisiana Tech. Navy expected. Senior Day, First Responders Appreciation and a Blue Out, with fans asked to wear blue for the regular season home finale.

Will Georgia Southern Wear White Helmets for Erk 100?

It is the best uniform question left on the Sun Belt calendar. Georgia Southern has worn the navy numbered helmet in all four games, and the program almost never changes it. The exception, in 2024, was the White Out, when the team announced white helmets two days before kickoff with Russell's name and his One More Time line on them. The Erk 100 White Out on October 31 is built around the same man. If Georgia Southern does it again, we expect the announcement late in game week, and we will update this page when it lands.

The Bottom Line

Georgia Southern has used one helmet, two jerseys and two pant colors through four games, and that restraint is the brand. The navy shell with the number on the side does not need a logo to be recognized. The variety this season is in the pants, and the real event is still ahead: an Erk 100 White Out against App State that could bring back the white helmet with ERK on the front. The grid above has every date, and we add a star as each uniform is confirmed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What jersey is Georgia Southern wearing this week?

Georgia Southern plays at Coastal Carolina on Saturday, October 3, and the white road jersey is expected with the navy helmet. The Eagles wore white jerseys in both road games so far, with navy pants at Clemson and white pants at Jacksonville State. Georgia Southern has not announced its pants for the Coastal game.

Why does Georgia Southern have numbers on its helmet instead of a logo?

It is a tradition from the Erk Russell era, when the program was restarted in 1982 on a tight budget: Russell bought solid navy helmets and had players run a strip of tape down the middle. The navy helmet with a white stripe and the player's number on the side carries that tradition, and the Eagles have worn it in every game of 2026.

What is Erk 100?

A season-long Georgia Southern campaign honoring legendary coach Erk Russell, who would have turned 100 on July 23, 2026. The centerpiece is the October 31 home game against App State, which is also a stadium-wide White Out.

Will Georgia Southern wear white helmets in 2026?

Not announced. The Eagles rarely wear white helmets, but they did for a White Out against Marshall in October 2024, with ERK on the front and One More Time on the back bumper. The Erk 100 White Out against App State on October 31 is the likeliest date if the white helmet returns.

Who makes Georgia Southern's uniforms?

Adidas. The three stripes are on the jerseys, and the navy and white sets are both Adidas.

When does Georgia Southern play App State in 2026?

Saturday, October 31 at Allen E. Paulson Stadium in Statesboro, with kickoff time still to be set. It is the Erk 100 game and a stadium-wide White Out.
