Southern Miss Uniform Schedule 2026: Every Jersey and When the Golden Eagles Wear It

Southern Miss has a new coach, a new name on its stadium and the same black and gold it has always worn, and through four games the Golden Eagles have kept the closet simple. This is the full Southern Miss 2026 uniform schedule: the all-black home set, the white road jersey, the black and white helmets, every game played so far and the expected look for the rest of the season, starting with a Tuesday night trip to Troy on October 6. We update this page as each combination is confirmed.

The Southern Miss 2026 Uniform Sets

The uniforms are Adidas, and the look is the black-first set Southern Miss leaned into last season, when the program showed off what it called a new look before a September 2025 game. What changed in 2026 is everything around it. Blake Anderson is in his first season as head coach, and the home stadium is now Renasant Stadium after a 10-year, $13.7 million naming-rights deal, though everybody in Hattiesburg still calls it The Rock.

Two habits stand out so far. At home, Southern Miss has gone black from helmet to cleats both times, with no gold pants in sight. On the road, the white jersey has been the constant and the helmet and pants have changed to fit the night: black helmet and black pants under the lights at Auburn, then white from top to bottom at Tulane.

September 26 at Tulane. ★ Confirmed from Southern Miss's own game photography, dated to the day of the game: white helmet, white jersey, white pants, the first appearance of the white helmet this season, for the Battle for the Bell at Yulman Stadium. Tulane answered in all sky blue. Southern Miss led 21-14 after three quarters, but Tulane scored the last 10 points and won 24-21 to keep the Bell. Our Tulane 2026 uniform schedule has the Green Wave.

November 28 at Old Dominion. White expected. The regular season finale at S.B. Ballard Stadium in Norfolk, kickoff time still to be set.

Will Southern Miss Wear Gold Pants in 2026?

It is the open question in the Southern Miss closet. Gold pants are part of the set, and the school's own game-week poster for UConn showed a player in a black jersey over gold. But in both home games so far the Golden Eagles have worn black pants, and on the road they have gone black at Auburn and white at Tulane. We will not put gold in the grid until we see it. Homecoming against Louisiana on October 24 and Senior Day against South Alabama on November 21 are the home dates where a change would make the most sense. The November 5 Blackout against JMU is the one date we would bet stays black.

The Bottom Line

Four games into the Blake Anderson era, Southern Miss has worn black at home and white on the road, with the black helmet three times and the white helmet once. All black at The Rock is a strong, simple look, and it fits a program that wants its home field to feel like a hard place to play. The questions left are whether gold pants ever make it onto the field and what the Golden Eagles wear for Homecoming, the Thursday night Blackout and Senior Day. The grid above has every date, and we add a star as each uniform is confirmed.
