The Memphis 2026 Uniform Sets

In April the school and FedEx announced a department wide jersey patch deal, and the shipping company's logo now sits on the left chest of all 19 Tigers programs beginning with the 2026-27 athletics year. Everything else is Nike, and the closet behind those four cards is genuinely deep. Memphis has been one of the busiest uniform programs in the sport for a decade, with blue, white, gray, black and a light blue set all appearing in recent seasons, and pants in white, blue, gray and black. Last year the Tigers changed something almost every week. This year, under first-year head coach Charles Huff, the first three games have been noticeably more conservative: one helmet, no alternates, and a rotation that has stuck to blue, white and gray.

August 29 at UNLV. ★ Confirmed: white helmet, white jersey, white pants, the full whiteout, in a Week 0 trip to Allegiant Stadium on FOX. Memphis announced the combination the day before under the tagline "Clean Cut" and won 27-21. It was the football team's first game wearing the FedEx patch.

September 5 vs. Arkansas State. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: white helmet, blue jersey, white pants, the home opener at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium on ESPN+. Memphis won 42-24 and the blue jersey with white pants is the combination we expect to be the season's default at home.

September 12 at Boise State. ★ Confirmed: white helmet, white jersey, gray pants, the first gray of the season, on the blue turf at Albertsons Stadium. Boise State debuted its hand-painted 40th anniversary helmet with blue over blue and won 38-20. One correction worth making: the Memphis helmet that afternoon was the same white shell the Tigers have worn all year, not a gray one. September 19 vs. UT Martin. Blue expected. A 6 p.m. Central home date on ESPN+ against an FCS opponent, and the softest landing spot on the schedule for something different if the equipment room has anything saved.

October 3 at Charlotte. White expected. The American Conference opener at Jerry Richardson Stadium, kickoff still to be announced.

October 10 vs. UAB. Blue expected. Back in Memphis, kickoff to be announced.

October 16 at Tulane. White expected. A Friday night conference game at Yulman Stadium on ESPN, 6:30 p.m. Central, and the most interesting uniform matchup on the Memphis schedule because of who is on the other side. Tulane is one of the more adventurous uniform programs in the league and this is the Green Wave's biggest home television window of the year.

October 22 vs. East Carolina. Blue expected. A Thursday night home game on ESPN2, 6:30 p.m. Central, and midweek national television is exactly the window a program uses for an alternate.

October 31 vs. Army. Blue expected. Halloween at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium with kickoff to be announced. Memphis wore a black alternate last season, and a Halloween home game is the most obvious date on the board for it. November 7. Bye.

November 12 at South Florida. White expected. A Thursday night trip to Raymond James Stadium, 7 p.m. Central.

November 21 at Navy. White expected. An 11 a.m. Central kickoff in Annapolis, and Navy is the home team in navy and gold, so Memphis in white is close to locked. Our Navy 2026 uniform schedule has the Midshipmen side of it.

November 27 or 28 vs. Temple. Blue expected. Senior Day and the regular season finale, and the date genuinely is not set yet: Memphis lists it as November 27 or 28 while the conference sorts out the Thanksgiving weekend windows. We will lock the cell once the designation comes down.

What Memphis Has in the Closet That We Have Not Seen Yet

Three games into 2026 the Tigers have used one helmet and three jersey and pant combinations. That is restraint by Memphis standards. For context, last season the program went through gray jerseys, blue jerseys, white jerseys, a black alternate and a light blue set with black pants, plus gray, white, blue and black helmet shells along the way.

The pieces most likely to surface in the back half of this schedule are the gray jersey, which Memphis refreshed in 2025 with a new MEMPHIS wordmark outlined in white, and the black alternate, which came out in November last season. The light blue set is the wild card. It is the loudest thing in the closet and it turned up under the lights at home last November.
