Boston College Uniform Schedule 2026: Every Jersey and When the Eagles Wear It

Boston College owns one of the cleanest closets in the ACC and one of the most meaningful uniforms in all of college football. This is the full Boston College 2026 uniform schedule: the maroon home set, the white road set, the gold helmet that finally got its stripe back, the Red Bandanna uniform the Eagles wore on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, and a week-by-week outlook for all twelve games in Bill O'Brien's third season. We update this page as each combination is confirmed.

The Boston College 2026 Uniform Sets

The current look is only a year old. Boston College became the first FBS football program to suit up in New Balance in 2025, a fitting partnership for a Boston school and a Boston brand, and the reveal leaned hard on the Doug Flutie era: simple maroon, simple white, gold trim, shoulder stripes that adidas had shaved off in the previous cycle.

That 2025 launch kept the helmet as a bare gold shell. The one visible change for 2026 is the best one: a maroon stripe now runs down the center of the gold helmet, with the ACC shield on the front bumper. It is a small thing that makes the whole uniform read older and better, and you can see it in the program's own preseason photos of the maroon home set.

ACC home teams wear color and visitors wear white, so every road date on this schedule points to the white jersey and every home date is a question of which pants go under the maroon. The Eagles have gold pants, maroon pants and white pants in the rotation, which is where most of the week-to-week variety lives.

The Full Boston College 2026 Uniform Schedule, Week by Week

September 5 at Cincinnati. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, white jersey, gold pants, the most traditional road combination Boston College owns and the first live look at the maroon helmet stripe. Cincinnati won 34-15 at Nippert Stadium. What the Bearcats wore is a separate question, and we track it on the Cincinnati 2026 uniform schedule.

September 11 vs. Rutgers. ★ Confirmed: the Red Bandanna uniform, gold helmet with a paisley center stripe, white jersey with red paisley shoulders, white pants. The 25th anniversary of 9/11 fell on a Friday night in Chestnut Hill, and the annual Red Bandanna Game honors Welles Crowther, the 1999 Boston College graduate and former lacrosse player who guided at least eighteen people out of the South Tower while wearing the red bandanna he carried everywhere. The program released the look two days before kickoff, down to a sideline towel printed FOR WELLES, SEPTEMBER 11TH, 2026 and the number 19.

Boston College won 28-21 for its first victory of the season. Rutgers wore red on the road that night, and you can find the Scarlet Knights' full year on the Rutgers 2026 uniform schedule.

September 19 vs. Maine. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, maroon jersey, gold pants, the standard home look for a 2 p.m. kickoff on ACCNX on Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day, the first home game after the emotional weight of the Red Bandanna night. Maine answered in light blue. Boston College won 22-16.

September 26 vs. Virginia Tech. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, maroon jersey, gold pants for Family Weekend at noon. Virginia Tech wore the maroon helmet, white jersey and maroon pants, so both teams had maroon on the field. The Hokies won 21-14 and BC is 2-2. The Hokies' side of it lives on the Virginia Tech 2026 uniform schedule.

October 3 at SMU, noon ET on The CW. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, white jersey, the road white for the first true ACC road trip, to Dallas. The pants are not clear in the frames we have, so we are leaving that piece open. SMU wore what it announced, the white helmet with the red Mustang, a blue jersey and white pants. SMU won 25-16, and Boston College fell to 2-3. See our SMU 2026 uniform schedule.

October 10. Bye.

October 17 vs. Pitt, noon Eastern on ESPN2. ★ Confirmed by the team: gold helmet, maroon jersey, gold pants, the maroon home set with the Soar High details for Homecoming and Varsity Club Hall of Fame Weekend. BC posted a breakdown of the set: "Soar High!" stitched inside the collar, the eagle head back on the shoulders, gold numbers, and the interlocking BC on the hip of the gold pants. BC's caption: "Tradition doesn't fade." So no full-maroon look this time, even though Boston College has teased maroon on maroon before. Every Week 7 look is in our Week 7 uniform guide.

Pitt is expected to visit in white, which makes the clash work. Their year is on the Pitt 2026 uniform schedule.

October 24 at Georgia Tech. White expected. Gold pants against a gold home team in Atlanta, which is the kind of detail that decides whether this one photographs well. See the Georgia Tech 2026 uniform schedule.

October 31 at Duke. White expected. Halloween in Durham. More on the other side at the Duke 2026 uniform schedule.

November 7 vs. Florida State. Maroon expected. Veterans and Military Appreciation Day, and the biggest home game left on the board. Florida State's rotation is on the Florida State 2026 uniform schedule.

November 14 at Notre Dame. White expected. The Holy War returns to South Bend at 3:30 p.m. on NBC, which means Boston College in white and gold against Notre Dame's navy and gold, one of the best color matchups the sport has. Watch the Irish side on the Notre Dame 2026 uniform schedule.

November 21 vs. Syracuse. Maroon expected. The Jay McGillis Memorial Senior Day Game, the last time this class runs out of the tunnel at Alumni Stadium. Syracuse is tracked on the Syracuse 2026 uniform schedule.

November 28 at Miami. White expected. The regular season ends in Coral Gables. Miami's year is on the Miami Hurricanes 2026 uniform schedule.

The Bottom Line

Five games into 2026, Boston College is 2-3 and has shown the two things that matter: the maroon stripe is back on the gold helmet, and the Red Bandanna uniform is still the best one-off in the sport. Everything else is mix and match. White and gold on the road, maroon at home, and a pants decision every week that quietly changes how the whole thing looks. The grid above has every date, and we fill in the stars as each combination is confirmed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What jersey is Boston College wearing this week?

Boston College is off on October 10. Last time out, the Eagles wore the gold helmet and white jersey at SMU on Saturday, October 3, confirmed from the broadcast, with the pants not clear in the frames we have, and lost 25-16 to fall to 2-3. Next up is Pitt at Alumni Stadium on October 17 for Homecoming, where Boston College wears the gold helmet, maroon jersey and gold pants, with "Soar High!" inside the collar and the eagle head on the shoulders, confirmed by the team. The week-by-week grid above lists every game with the expected uniform, and we update it as combinations are confirmed.

What are Boston College's football uniforms for 2026?

A maroon home jersey with white numerals outlined in gold, a white road jersey with maroon numerals outlined in gold, and the Red Bandanna alternate. Both base jerseys carry shoulder stripes and the BC eagle logo on the chest rather than a wordmark. Pants come in gold, maroon and white, and the helmet is a gold shell with a maroon center stripe. New Balance makes all of it.

What is the Red Bandanna uniform and when does Boston College wear it?

It is Boston College's annual tribute to Welles Crowther, a 1999 graduate and former lacrosse player who died on September 11, 2001 after leading at least eighteen people to safety in the South Tower while wearing a red bandanna. The uniform is a white jersey covered in red paisley on the shoulders and sleeves, with a paisley BC eagle on the chest and a paisley stripe on the gold helmet. In 2026 the Eagles wore it against Rutgers on September 11, the 25th anniversary of the attacks.

Did Boston College change its helmet for 2026?

Yes, in the way that matters most to people who care about this. The gold shell now carries a maroon stripe down the center, after the program wore a plain gold helmet through the first New Balance season in 2025. The ACC shield sits on the front bumper and the facemask is maroon. There is still no logo on the sides.

How many games does Boston College play in 2026?

Twelve regular season games: six at Alumni Stadium, six on the road, with a bye on October 10. Home dates are Rutgers, Maine, Virginia Tech, Pitt, Florida State and Syracuse. Road trips go to Cincinnati, SMU, Georgia Tech, Duke, Notre Dame and Miami. The full schedule with expected uniforms is in the grid above.
