September 19 vs. Kent State, Ohio Stadium. ★ Confirmed from Ohio State's own game photography: silver helmet, scarlet jersey with the silver Buckeye stripe on the sleeve, silver gray pants, the standard home set. The Helmet Stripe Game came off as billed, a crowd theme rather than a uniform change, with fans in the horseshoe dressing to match the stripes on the helmet. None of the three 2026 alternates came out, so Scarlet Rush, Tunnel Vision and Sub Zero are all still waiting on a date. Ohio State won 59-3.

September 26 vs. Illinois, Ohio Stadium. Hall of Fame Weekend and the Buckeyes for a Cancer Free World game. ★ Confirmed from the game photos: silver helmet, scarlet jersey, gray pants. Illinois wore an orange helmet, white jersey and orange pants. Jeremiah Smith tied a school record with four touchdown catches, with 12 receptions for 217 yards, and Ohio State won 42-19 to move to 3-1.

October 3 at Iowa, Iowa City. Road. White expected.

October 10 vs. Maryland, Ohio Stadium. Homecoming. Scarlet expected.

October 17 at Indiana, Bloomington. Road. White expected.

October 31 at USC, Los Angeles. Road, and worth watching. USC wears cardinal at home, so Ohio State should be in white, but a Halloween night game in the Coliseum is exactly the kind of stage a program uses for something unannounced.

November 7 vs. Oregon, Ohio Stadium. The first meeting since the 2024 Rose Bowl, at home, against the one program in the country with a bigger uniform closet than anybody. Scarlet expected, and if Ohio State is going to answer Oregon with something, this is the date.

November 14 vs. Northwestern, Ohio Stadium. Military Appreciation Game, part of the Our Honor Defend program.
