Three games into 2026, UNLV has worn three different combinations and two different helmets, and the Rebels tell you exactly what is coming every week with a row of colored dots. This is the full UNLV 2026 uniform schedule: the red home jersey, the white road set, the silver and red helmets, the gray alternate sitting in the closet, and a week-by-week outlook for all twelve games, including a Halloween night game and the 52nd Battle for the Fremont Cannon. The UNLV 2026 Uniform Sets

Everything is Nike, and the whole closet runs on three colors: scarlet, white and a gray that UNLV treats as a real team color rather than a trim. That gray is why the Rebels are more interesting than most Mountain West programs. They can build a road look, a home look and a monochrome look out of the same three pieces, and in the last three seasons they have done all of it. Two games this year have used the silver helmet and one used the red, so the helmet is genuinely in play every week.

UNLV announces every combination a couple of days before kickoff in a post the program calls threads, with one emoji per piece: helmet, jersey, pants. A gray dot is silver or gray, a red dot is red and a white dot is white. Game 1 was silver, red, gray.

August 29 vs. Memphis. ★ Confirmed from the team's threads post and team photography: silver helmet, red jersey, gray pants for the Week 0 opener at Allegiant Stadium on FOX, which UNLV billed as Community Heroes Day. September 5 at Hawaii. ★ Confirmed from the team's threads post and team photography from both schools: red helmet, red jersey, white pants. UNLV wore color on the road because Hawaii went all white at home for its White Out promotion, so the Island Showdown in Honolulu was red against white instead of the usual home dark. September 12 at North Texas. ★ Confirmed from the team's threads post and team photography: silver helmet, white jersey, white pants in Denton, with North Texas in green at home. UNLV lost 44-6.

September 19. Bye. The first of two open dates.

September 26 at Akron. White expected. A 9 a.m. Pacific kickoff (noon Eastern) at InfoCision Stadium on ESPN+, and the last non-conference road trip.

October 3 vs. Cal. Red expected. Hispanic Heritage Day at Allegiant Stadium, 12:30 p.m. Pacific on CBS Sports Network. Cal lists this one as a white road date on our Cal 2026 uniform schedule.

October 10 vs. North Dakota State. Red expected. Homecoming and Breast Cancer Awareness Day at 4 p.m. Pacific on The CW. Homecoming is one of the two dates on any schedule where an alternate is most likely, and awareness days tend to bring pink accents rather than a new jersey.

October 17 at Air Force. White expected. 12:30 p.m. Pacific at Falcon Stadium on CBS Sports Network, with the Falcons expected in blue on our Air Force 2026 uniform schedule.

October 24. Bye.

October 31 vs. Northern Illinois. Red expected. Nevada Day and Halloween at 7:30 p.m. Pacific on CBS Sports Network, with fans told to come in costume. A Saturday night game on Halloween is the most natural spot on the calendar for the gray or an all-red look.

November 7 vs. Wyoming. Red expected. Military Appreciation and Native American Heritage Day, 7:30 p.m. Pacific on CBS Sports Network. Nothing special has been announced for it.

November 14 at New Mexico. White expected. 4:30 p.m. Pacific in Albuquerque on The CW.

November 21 at San Jose State. White expected. 4 p.m. Pacific at CEFCU Stadium on CBS Sports Network.

November 28 vs. Nevada. Red expected. The 52nd Battle for the Fremont Cannon, 6 p.m. Pacific at Allegiant Stadium on CBS Sports Network, with the senior class recognized before kickoff. The cannon gets painted in the winner's color, so red is the obvious call at home.

Why UNLV Wore Red at Hawaii

Most Mountain West road trips put the visitor in white. Hawaii flipped that on September 5 by making its home opener a White Out, with the Rainbow Warriors in white helmets, white jerseys and white pants and white shirts for the first 2,500 fans through the gates. That left UNLV in color, and the Rebels leaned all the way in with the red helmet over the red jersey. It was the only time the red shell has shown up so far, and it is the combination we would put at the top of the Rebels closet. The threads post called it island bound.

A week later UNLV was back in the standard road look, silver over white over white, for the trip to Denton.

The Gray Uniform Is Still in the Closet

UNLV is one of the few programs in the country that will go gray on gray on gray. The Rebels did it against Kansas in 2024: silver helmet with a red facemask, a gray jersey with white numerals trimmed in red, and gray pants, announced with four gray dots under the line Grays on the plains. The gray pants already came out in the 2026 opener, so the pieces are clearly still on the rack. We would look for the full gray set on a road night game or on Halloween.
