Wondering when Notre Dame wears green this year, or what they are putting on at Lambeau Field? This is the full Notre Dame 2026 uniform schedule: two confirmed alternate dates, the navy home set, the white road set, and a week-by-week outlook for all twelve games. We update this page as each combination is confirmed.
Notre Dame is a better team than most to build this page around, because unlike almost every program in the country the Irish have two alternate dates locked in before the season starts, and one of them is the opener.
The Two Confirmed Dates
Everything else on the calendar follows Notre Dame's own convention rather than a conference rule, and that convention is simple: navy at home, white on the road, gold helmet and gold pants either way.
The Notre Dame 2026 Uniform Sets
The gold helmet is the constant. It survives every alternate on this list, including both confirmed ones, which is why Notre Dame can run a green uniform and a Packers-inspired blue one in the same season without either looking like a different team.
The Full Notre Dame 2026 Uniform Schedule, Week by Week
Twelve games, seven at home, two neutral sites, and an October 24 bye.
Sunday, September 6 vs. Wisconsin, Lambeau Field, 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC. ✅ Confirmed: the Shamrock Series set. Notre Dame is the designated home team even though the game is in Green Bay.
September 12 vs. Rice, Notre Dame Stadium. Home opener, and the first game in the actual stadium. Navy expected.
September 19 vs. Michigan State, Notre Dame Stadium. Navy expected.
September 26 at Purdue, Ross-Ade Stadium. White expected.
October 3 at North Carolina, Kenan Stadium. White expected.
October 10 vs. Stanford, Notre Dame Stadium, 3:30 p.m. ✅ Confirmed: Irish Wear Green. This is the annual green-out, and the game is already sold out.
October 17 at BYU, LaVell Edwards Stadium. White expected.
October 24. Bye.
October 31 vs. Navy, Gillette Stadium, Foxborough. ⚠️ This is the one to watch. The 99th meeting in the rivalry and the first ever played at Gillette. Neutral-site designations decide who wears color, and Navy has been listed as the home team, which would put Notre Dame in white. Neutral-site designations have flipped before, so we will confirm this one in game week rather than guess it now.
November 7 vs. Miami, Notre Dame Stadium. Navy expected. The first time since 1976 that Miami has come to South Bend in November.
November 14 vs. Boston College, Notre Dame Stadium. Navy expected.
November 21 vs. SMU, Notre Dame Stadium. Navy expected. First meeting since 1989.
November 28 at Syracuse, JMA Wireless Dome. White expected.
The Lambeau Uniform Is the Best Story of the Opener
The thirteenth Shamrock Series uniform is not a Notre Dame tribute. It is a Green Bay one, which is a strange and rather good decision.
The jersey is a deep blue drawn from the 1920s Acme Packers, the company-sponsored name Green Bay carried before it was the Packers. The sleeve striping echoes the Packers set you would recognize today. The numerals take a hard block shape from the Paul Hornung era, and inside each numeral is a custom mesh texture carrying the silhouette of Green Bay's oval G.
On the collar sit eleven gold shamrocks, one for each of Notre Dame's consensus national championships. There is also an American flag patch marking the nation's 250th anniversary in 2026.
The history it is reaching for is real rather than invented. Paul Hornung won a Heisman at Notre Dame and a championship in Green Bay. Curly Lambeau, who the stadium is named after, played at Notre Dame under Knute Rockne before he founded the Packers, and he took the Notre Dame box formation north with him. A uniform built on that is doing something more interesting than putting shamrocks on a black jersey, which is the trap this series has fallen into before.
The Detail Almost Nobody Is Calling a Uniform Change
There is one more change on every Notre Dame jersey this season, and it is the largest of them in dollar terms: a SoFi patch.
Notre Dame signed a six-year jersey-patch deal reported to average $18 to 20 million a year, which makes it the most valuable jersey sponsorship in the history of college athletics. SoFi is the first non-apparel brand to appear on Irish uniforms, and the patch runs across all sports in 2026-27. Its football debut is the Lambeau game.
We are going to reserve judgment on how it looks until we see it on the field at full size. What is worth saying now is that a program which has kept the same uniform silhouette since 1984, and which markets itself on exactly that refusal to change, just put a corporate mark on the front. That is a bigger break with Notre Dame's own tradition than any green jersey has ever been.
The Bottom Line
Two confirmed alternates before the opener is more certainty than almost any program in the country offers, and both of them are good: a green-out with the Leprechaun promoted to the shoulder, and a Lambeau one-off that actually understands the building it is played in.
The rest is the most predictable wardrobe in college football, which is the point. Navy at home, white on the road, gold helmet always. The only genuinely open date is Navy at Gillette, and we will have that answered in game week.

Saturday, October 10, against Stanford at Notre Dame Stadium, with a 3:30 p.m. kickoff. It is the annual Irish Wear Green game. The 2026 set is green jersey, green pants and the traditional gold helmet, with the Leprechaun logo replacing the ND monogram on the shoulders.
What uniform is Notre Dame wearing against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field?
The 2026 Shamrock Series uniform, a deep blue set honoring the 1920s Acme Packers.
