Hawaii Uniform Schedule 2026: Every Jersey and When the Rainbow Warriors Wear It

Hawaii has already worn all white and all black at home this season, a week apart, which makes the Rainbow Warriors one of the few programs in the country with no fixed home jersey. This is the full Hawaii 2026 uniform schedule: the black set, the white set, the two helmets, the Senior Night White Out on the calendar, and a week-by-week outlook for all twelve games, including early morning kickoffs in Laramie and DeKalb. We update this page as each combination is confirmed.

The Hawaii 2026 Uniform Sets

Hawaii went back to Nike in the summer of 2025, its first Nike deal since 2007, and the current closet comes from that return: a black set and a white set, both built around tapa triangle patterns and a feathered helmet stripe. The designs look back to the Colt Brennan era of the program, and the tapa detailing runs through the shoulders, the pant stripes and the helmet. What makes Hawaii hard to predict is that neither jersey is the home jersey. The Rainbow Warriors pick the color by the promotion, and in 2026 they have used white for a day game and black for a night game at the Ching Complex.

All times below are Hawaii time.

August 29 at Stanford. ★ Confirmed from team photography and the broadcast: white helmet, white jersey, black pants for the Week 0 opener at Stanford Stadium on ACC Network. Hawaii took a fourth quarter lead before Stanford pulled away to win 37-27. Stanford wore its cardinal jersey with a tribal-pattern helmet stripe for its Pacific Islander Heritage Celebration, which we cover on our Stanford 2026 uniform schedule.

September 5 vs. UNLV. ★ Confirmed from team photography: white helmet, white jersey, white pants for the White Out home opener, with the stands in white to match. UNLV came in red on red and won the Mountain West opener 21-6. Our UNLV 2026 uniform schedule has the Rebels side.

September 12 vs. New Mexico State. ★ Confirmed from team photography and the team's postgame post: black helmet, black jersey, black pants under the lights on Hawai‘i Heroes First Responders Night. Hawaii won 29-19 for its first win of the season, with New Mexico State in white.

September 19. Bye. The first of two open dates.

September 26 at Wyoming. White expected. A 9 a.m. kickoff in Laramie on The CW, which is 1 p.m. Mountain. Wyoming wears brown at home, so the white jersey is locked in.

October 3 vs. San Jose State. Black expected. 6 p.m. at the Ching Complex on K5 and MW+, the Dick Tomey Legacy Game and Ultimate Keiki Night. A night kickoff is where the black set has lived so far.

October 10 at Arizona State. White expected. Kickoff time still to be set. Arizona State is expected in maroon at home on our Arizona State 2026 uniform schedule.

October 17 vs. New Mexico. Black expected. Homecoming at the Ching Complex, kickoff time still to be set. Homecoming is one of the two dates on any schedule where a special look is most likely.

October 24 at Northern Illinois. White expected. A 9:30 a.m. kickoff in DeKalb on MW+, Hawaii's first Mountain West trip to Illinois.

October 31. Bye.

November 7 at UTEP. White expected. At the Sun Bowl in El Paso, kickoff time still to be set.

November 14 vs. North Dakota State. Black expected. Military Night at 6 p.m. on The CW. Nothing special has been announced for it.

November 21 at Nevada. White expected. At Mackay Stadium in Reno, kickoff time still to be set.

November 28 vs. Sacramento State. White expected. Senior Night at 6 p.m. on K5 and MW+, and the athletics department has listed it as a White Out. The last White Out put the team in all white, so we expect the same, but it has not been announced as a uniform.

White Out and Black Nights at the Ching Complex

Hawaii has turned the home jersey into part of the promotion. The UNLV game was sold as a White Out, and the team told fans to wear white.

A week later, at night against New Mexico State, the Rainbow Warriors went black from the helmet down and got the win. The feathered stripe on the black shell reads much better under lights than it does in a day game, and the all-black set is the best thing Hawaii has worn this season.

Why Hawaii Plays at 9 a.m.

Hawaii does not observe daylight saving time, so it sits two or three hours behind the Pacific time zone and five or six hours behind the East, so road games in the Mountain and Central time zones land early on the island. The Wyoming game kicks off at 9 a.m. Hawaii time and the Northern Illinois game at 9:30 a.m. Home games run the other direction: a 6 p.m. kickoff at the Ching Complex is 11 p.m. Central in September, which is why Hawaii home games are so often the last game on the national scoreboard.
