Fresno State Uniform Schedule 2026: Every Jersey and When the Bulldogs Wear It

Fresno State keeps it simple. Red helmet, red jersey, red pants at home, and the same red helmet over a white jersey on the road. This is the full Fresno State 2026 uniform schedule: the all red home look the Bulldogs wore in their first Pac-12 win, the white road set from the trip to USC, the black alternate sitting in the closet, and a week-by-week outlook for all twelve games plus the Pac-12 flex date. We update this page as each combination is confirmed.

The Fresno State 2026 Uniform Sets

adidas outfits the Bulldogs, and the wardrobe is narrower than most programs its size, which is exactly why it works. One helmet, three jerseys, and red pants that go with everything. The Green V on the back of the shell is the piece with the most history: it arrived in 1997 when Pat Hill took the job, the green honors the Central Valley's agricultural heritage and the red line through the middle marks Fresno State as the Pride of the Valley. The black set is the swing option. Fresno State first wore all black in 2013, during the Derek Carr and Davante Adams years, then shelved it after 2015 until adidas brought back a redesigned version in August 2024 for a homecoming blackout against San Jose State. In the Pac-12 the home team wears color and the visitor wears white, so the road dates below are settled and the home dates are the ones worth watching.

The Full Fresno State 2026 Uniform Schedule, Week by Week

September 4 at USC. ★ Confirmed from photographs of the game: red helmet, white jersey, red pants, the road set, on a Friday night at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum against USC in cardinal over gold. The Trojans won 39-0. The red pants are the detail worth noting, because plenty of programs default to all white on the road and Fresno State does not. ESPN lists this game under September 5 because its feed runs on UTC and a 6 p.m. Pacific kickoff falls after midnight in London. It was played Friday, September 4.

September 12 vs. Sacramento State. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast and the team's own postgame graphic: red helmet, red jersey, red pants, head to toe red for the home opener at Valley Children's Stadium, with Sacramento State in white over green. Fresno State won 49-3 for its first win of the Pac-12 era.

September 19 at San Jose State. ★ Confirmed: red helmet with the white bulldog, white jersey with red numerals, red pants. The one open question was the pants, red or white, and the road look at USC had pointed to red. Red it was. FS1 fed no photography of either team, so this took until Sunday and the confirmation came from San Jose State's own game photography rather than the broadcast. Fresno State won 26-10 at CEFCU Stadium to keep the Valley Trophy, with the Spartans in blue over blue.

September 26 vs. Rice. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: red helmet, red jersey, red pants, all red, the same set as the Sacramento State home game. Rice came in silver helmet, light gray jersey and gray pants. The Owls led 17-14 at the half, but Jayden Mandal threw three touchdown passes, Rayshon Luke ran for 167 yards on 11 carries including a 52-yard score to close it, and Fresno State won 38-24 to move to 3-1.

October 3 at Washington State. ★ Confirmed from the game photos: red helmet, white jersey, red pants for the Pac-12 opener. Washington State went with the all gray it had announced, a gray helmet, gray jersey and gray pants. Fresno State won 26-6 to move to 4-1.

October 10 vs. Boise State. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: red helmet, red jersey, red pants, the all red home set for a third straight home game. The black alternate stayed in the closet for the 7:30 p.m. Pacific kickoff on The CW. Boise State wore all white. Ezekiel Avit dove in for a 59-yard touchdown and the Bulldogs scored 11 points in the fourth quarter, but Boise State won 38-31, and Fresno State is 4-2. See our Boise State 2026 uniform schedule.

October 17 at San Diego State. White expected. The Battle for the Old Oil Can, the trophy that has been on the line since 2011 in a rivalry that goes back to 1923. San Diego State shut Fresno State out 23-0 in Fresno last October and took the can south, and the Aztecs host the rematch, so expect black over black on their side and white on this one.

October 24. Bye.

October 31 vs. Oregon State. Red expected, and this is the date we would circle for the black set. Halloween, an 8 p.m. Pacific kickoff on USA, and a program that has already used a homecoming blackout as the launch pad for this uniform once. Oregon State has worn all black at home this season, so if both sides go dark the contrast is a problem and Fresno State stays in red.

November 7 at Utah State. White expected. A trip to Maverik Stadium against a navy home side. More: Utah State uniform schedule.

November 14 at Texas State. White expected. The longest road trip of the season, a 1 p.m. Pacific kickoff in San Marcos on The CW.

November 21 vs. Colorado State. Red expected. The last scheduled home game before the flex date, 4:30 p.m. Pacific on The CW, and the natural slot for a senior day look.

November 28, flex game. Red expected. The Pac-12 built its first schedule around a Week 13 flex date that does not count in the conference standings and is not set until six days before kickoff at the latest. Fresno State holds the home game for it, which means color. The Pac-12 Championship follows on December 4.

The Bottom Line

Six games in, Fresno State is 4-2 and has shown two combinations and one helmet, all red at home and the white jersey over red pants on the road, and both combinations ran red pants. That is the signature here: the Bulldogs are a red pants team, on the road as well as at home, which is rarer than it sounds and gives the white jersey a bolder look than most road sets get. The black alternate is the wild card. It did not come out for the Boise State night game on October 10, which leaves Halloween against Oregon State as the obvious slot. The grid above has every date, and we fill in a star as each combination is confirmed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Fresno State wearing this week?

Fresno State wore all red against Boise State on Saturday, October 10: red helmet, red jersey and red pants, confirmed from the broadcast, in a 38-31 loss that dropped the Bulldogs to 4-2. The black alternate did not appear. Next is the Battle for the Old Oil Can at San Diego State on October 17, where white is expected. The week-by-week grid above lists every game.

What are Fresno State's football uniforms for 2026?

A red home jersey with FRESNO STATE in white across the chest, a white road jersey with the same wordmark in red, a black alternate with red numbers outlined in white, and red pants that go with the red and white jerseys. The helmet is a red shell with the Bulldog head on the sides, DOGS on the front bumper and the Green V on the back. adidas makes all of it.

Does Fresno State wear red pants on the road?

Yes. The Bulldogs wore the red pants with the white jersey at USC on September 4 rather than going all white, and did the same at San Jose State and Washington State, which is how they have handled the road set. We will note it here if that changes.

What is the Green V on the Fresno State helmet?

It is the Valley mark that has sat on the back of Fresno State helmets since 1997, when Pat Hill became head coach. The V is green for the Central Valley's agricultural heritage and carries a red line through the middle for the university's place as the Pride of the Valley. In November 2025 the Green V moved to the sides of a white helmet for the first time, for the ag themed uniform Fresno State wore in its home finale.

How many games does Fresno State play in 2026?

Twelve regular season games: six on the road, five at Valley Children's Stadium, and a sixth home date on November 28, the flex game against a Pac-12 opponent the conference sets later in the season. The bye is October 24 and the Pac-12 Championship is December 4. The full schedule with expected uniforms is in the grid above.
