BYU wears royal blue at home and white on the road, but the Cougars almost never wear the same full combination twice in a season. They pick a new pairing of helmet, jersey and pants every week and reveal it on the Monday of game week. This is the full BYU 2026 uniform schedule: the royal home set, the white road set, the navy accents, both helmets, and all twelve games week by week. The BYU 2026 Uniform Sets

Nike makes the uniforms. In 2026 they carry a new sponsor patch from Entrata, a Utah tech company that signed with BYU over the summer. BYU has worn a different full combination nearly every game since the pandemic season, so the grid below lists the expected base color for each date: royal at home and white on the road. The exact helmet, facemask and pants come out each Monday, and we swap in the real combination as soon as BYU posts it.

BYU has not announced a 2026 alternate or throwback yet. Its past specials include the 2019 throwback against Washington, the 1996 all-white look it brought back against Kansas State in 2024 to mark 100 seasons of BYU football, the royal-to-black gradient helmet with black uniforms against Notre Dame in Las Vegas in 2022, and the Sailor Coug helmet with the black set in the 2022 New Mexico Bowl.

September 5 vs. Utah Tech. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: royal helmet, royal jersey, white pants, with a royal facemask. It was the royal home set under the royal helmet, the first time BYU had worn that exact combination since hosting Utah State in 2022. BYU won 63-7 at LaVell Edwards Stadium. The game kicked off at 6 p.m. Mountain on Saturday, so ESPN's UTC feed lists it under September 6.

September 12 vs. Arizona. ★ Confirmed from BYU's own game photo and the broadcast: white helmet, royal jersey, royal pants, with a white facemask and a royal oval Y on the helmet. BYU asked fans to stripe the stadium in royal and white by section, and the team matched it. BYU wore the same look against West Virginia in 2025 but with a different facemask color, so this exact combination was new. Arizona wore all white, white helmets included. BYU won 28-17 in the Big 12 opener, shutting out the Wildcats after halftime.

September 19 at Colorado State. Announced: white helmet and white facemask, white jersey with navy numbers, white pants. It is BYU's first navy of 2026. BYU last wore this exact combination at Kansas in 2023, its first Big 12 game. The two old Mountain West rivals had not played since 2010, when navy was still BYU's main blue. October 3 at TCU. White expected. Big 12 road game at Amon G. Carter Stadium, where TCU is expected in purple; see the TCU 2026 uniform schedule.

October 9 vs. Iowa State. Royal expected. The Big 12 moved this game from Saturday to Friday night, 8:15 p.m. Mountain. It is BYU's only weeknight game this season, and it lands during BYU's homecoming week (October 6-10).

October 17 vs. Notre Dame. Royal expected. BYU's schedule release says this is Notre Dame's first trip to Provo in more than 20 years. It is the biggest home game on the schedule, and the last time these teams met, in Las Vegas in 2022, BYU wore black with a gradient helmet. November 7 at Utah. White expected. The Holy War at Rice-Eccles Stadium, with Utah in red at home. A royal and white BYU against a red Utah is one of the cleanest color clashes in the Big 12.
