LSU is the one program in college football that wears white at home on purpose, and it changes what everybody else wears in Tiger Stadium. This is the full LSU 2026 uniform schedule, week by week, plus the rule that makes it possible. We update this page as each combination is confirmed.

The LSU 2026 Uniform Sets

Here is the part almost nobody states plainly. The home team is normally required to wear dark jerseys, and that rule ended LSU's white tradition in 1983. In 1995 head coach Gerry DiNardo petitioned the NCAA to let home teams choose, the petition succeeded, and LSU went straight back to white. The tradition itself started under Paul Dietzel in the late 1950s and stuck after a national championship, for no better reason than superstition.

September 5 vs. Clemson. ★ Confirmed: white jersey, gold pants, white helmet, the home white set. Clemson came to Baton Rouge and LSU wore white, which is the quirk this whole page turns on, and it pushed Clemson into orange rather than the road white they wear almost everywhere else. Orange against white under the lights in Tiger Stadium is a far better television game than orange against white would have been the other way round.

September 12 vs. Louisiana Tech. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast, and it is the first surprise of LSU's season: purple jersey, gold pants, gold helmet in Tiger Stadium. We had the home whites down, the look LSU wore against Clemson a week earlier, and LSU went purple for the FCS visitor instead. Purple at home is the exception in Baton Rouge, not the rule, which is why it is worth a line here. LSU won 45-14.

September 19 at Ole Miss. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, white jersey, gold pants, the standard road set. Ole Miss wears a color at home and chose the full powder blue set, powder blue helmet and jersey over white pants, the same look it wore against LSU in Oxford last season. September 26 vs. Texas A&M. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, white jersey, gold pants, the home white, which is why the visitor got to wear color. Texas A&M came in maroon over maroon with the white helmet, exactly as it posted on Thursday. Sam Leavitt threw for 312 yards and two touchdowns to Jackson Harris, who finished with 163 receiving yards, the defense held Marcel Reed to 106 passing yards, and LSU won 35-6 to move to 3-1. October 3 vs. McNeese. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, purple jersey, gold pants. We had Home White down, so this is a correction: LSU went to purple at Tiger Stadium against the FCS Cowboys. McNeese wore a white helmet, white jersey and white pants. Sam Leavitt threw three touchdown passes, Harlem Berry ran for 125 yards, and LSU piled up 731 yards and a school-record 101 plays in a 63-14 win. The Tigers are 4-1.

October 10 at Kentucky. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, white jersey, gold pants, the road white we expected. Kentucky wore its Power K throwback, unveiled October 7: the white helmet with the triple stripe and the Power K, a blue jersey and white pants, the Wildcats' look from 1975 to 1991. Kentucky won 35-34 in overtime after LSU scored a touchdown and extra point in the extra period and the Wildcats answered with a touchdown and a two-point conversion. The Tigers are 4-2.
