College Football Week 3 Uniforms 2026: What Every Top Team Is Wearing This Saturday

Most top teams in Week 3 of the 2026 college football season are in their standard sets: home teams in color, visitors in white. The exceptions are Texas Tech's all-black Patrick Mahomes "Let's Ride" uniform against Houston on Friday, Missouri's Memorial Stadium 100th anniversary throwback against Troy, Utah's white Ute Proud helmet against Utah State, BYU's navy-trimmed whites at Colorado State and Florida's orange pants at Auburn, all announced. Since Wednesday, Miami, Houston, Oregon, Kentucky, Louisville, Tennessee, TCU, Virginia and Purdue have also posted their Week 3 combinations. Ole Miss and Florida State, the two biggest open questions, had not as of Thursday morning.

Below is every game this week involving an AP Top 25 team or one of the 43 programs we track in our college uniform schedules, with kickoff time, TV, the final score and what each team actually wore. A look is marked Confirmed when we have seen it in a broadcast frame or in the school's own game photography, and left as expected when we never got a clear look, which happened more often than usual this week because so many of these games were on networks that feed ESPN nothing. ESPN and the AP poll call this Week 3. All times are Eastern.

Games of the Week

No. 7 LSU at No. 8 Ole Miss

Saturday, 7:30 p.m., ABC. College GameDay was in Oxford. Ole Miss won 32-24. Lane Kiffin brought LSU back to the program he left at the end of 2025, and this was the most-watched uniform decision of the weekend. Ole Miss answered it with POWDER BLUE: powder blue helmet, powder blue jersey and white pants, the full set, with the end zones painted to match. Red and navy were both live and the Rebels never announced it. LSU wore white with the gold helmet and gold pants. The Rebels wore the full powder blue set (powder blue helmet, powder blue jersey, white pants) against LSU in 2025 and won 24-19. Through two games in 2026 they have worn navy and then red, both under the navy helmet with gray pants. Ole Miss had called a Stripe Out in the stands, which is a fan theme and not a uniform, and the Rebels never posted a combination graphic at all. More: LSU schedule and Ole Miss schedule.

Florida State at No. 10 Alabama

Saturday, 3:30 p.m., ABC. Alabama won 50-36. This was the return game from FSU's 31-17 win in Tallahassee last season, and it carried the week's second real uniform question. Florida State answered it with GARNET PANTS, under the gold helmet and the white road jersey. Gold is the traditional road pairing and the Seminoles never posted the combination in game week, so the broadcast settled it. It is the same call FSU made at Stanford last season. Alabama wore crimson, the only home look it owns: crimson helmet with the player's number, crimson jersey, white pants. More: Alabama schedule and Florida State schedule.

No. 2 Georgia at Arkansas

Saturday, noon, ABC. Georgia won 45-17. Georgia: confirmed in white, the road set of red helmet with the oval G, white jersey and silver britches. The all-white look with the first white helmet in program history was a one-game alternate, worn against Western Kentucky last week. Arkansas: confirmed in cardinal, with white pants and the cardinal helmet. Arkansas called a Stripe Out in the stands, with fans in alternating sections wearing red or white, and did not change the uniform. More: Georgia schedule and Arkansas schedule.

Florida at Auburn

Saturday, 7 p.m., ESPN. Florida won 44-39. Florida's first trip to Jordan-Hare since 2011, and both sides wore exactly what the week said they would. Florida wore the orange helmet, white jersey and orange pants, straight off the full-season uniform schedule the Gators published in August, one of only two dates on it that carry the orange pants. Auburn wore the home default, white helmet with the navy AU, navy jersey, white pants. Navy against white and orange under the lights, as billed. More: Florida schedule and Auburn schedule.

No. 22 Houston at No. 13 Texas Tech

Friday, 8 p.m., FOX. Texas Tech won 28-26. Texas Tech wore the Patrick Mahomes "Let's Ride" set, the third Mahomes uniform from adidas in three years: all black, red block numbers, black pants, black helmet, the Gladiator logo worked in and his name across the back bumper, with the State Farm logo on the jersey that Texas Tech had confirmed on the Wednesday. Houston wore the Icy Whites, the set it posted as "Icy whites for Game 3": white helmet with the red interlocking UH and a red facemask, white jersey with the red Houston script, white pants. No. 16 SMU at No. 23 Louisville

Saturday, 3:30 p.m., ESPN2. Louisville won 41-31. The ACC opener for both teams and the only ranked game in the afternoon window. Louisville wore the red set it posted on the Thursday under "Keeping it classic": white helmet, red jersey, white pants. The week before, Louisville had paired the red jersey with a Salute to Service helmet; the all-black For The Ville alternate is still held for Stanford on October 31. Alternates and Special Looks This Week

• Texas Tech, Let's Ride (Confirmed). The Mahomes all-black set, worn Friday against Houston.
• Missouri, 100th anniversary throwback (Confirmed). Mizzou revealed it on August 20 for the Memorial Stadium 100th Anniversary Game and wore it against Troy exactly as unveiled: black helmet with a narrow block M and gold and white center striping, a black jersey with no wordmark on the chest, and old gold pants.
• BYU, navy-trimmed whites (Confirmed). BYU announced it on Monday and wore it at Colorado State: white helmet with a white facemask, white jersey with navy numbers, white pants. It was BYU's first navy of 2026.
• Florida, orange pants (Confirmed). Orange helmet and white jersey over orange pants at Auburn, one of only two dates on Florida's published season schedule that carry them.
• Utah, Ute Proud (Confirmed). Utah revealed it on Wednesday as white, red, red and wore it in a 33-0 shutout of Utah State: a white helmet with the tribal interlocking U's on the side and a black, white and red tribal stripe down the center, a red jersey and red pants, for the Ute Proud and Hall of Fame game.
• TCU, new helmet look (Confirmed). TCU teased a "new look this weekend" on Thursday, posted the full set and then wore it against Arkansas State: a white helmet with a Frogs script, purple jersey and white pants.
• Oregon, all green (Confirmed). Oregon posted three green circles and then wore the green helmet, green jersey and green pants against Portland State on Friday night, matching the Wear Green theme in Autzen.
• Baylor, Helmet of Hope decal (Confirmed). Baylor showed the decal on Thursday: a pink and teal bear head reading Helmet of Hope on the green helmet, plus a gold childhood cancer ribbon, the design from a young patient at McLane Children's according to Baylor Bears On SI. The jersey was the open question and the Bears answered it with gold over gold under the green shell, matching the Gold Rush theme in the stands rather than leaving it to the crowd.

No. 5 Miami at Wake Forest, 7:30 p.m., ESPN. Miami won 33-20.

• Miami: Confirmed, all white, in the ACC opener. The white helmet with the orange and green stripe, white jersey and white pants, exactly as the Week 3 graphic showed.
• Wake Forest: Confirmed, all black. Wake called its Week 3 set "Dark Mode", and it wore every piece of it: matte black helmet, black jersey, black pants.

No. 22 Houston at No. 13 Texas Tech, 8 p.m., FOX. Texas Tech won 28-26.

• Houston: Confirmed, the Icy Whites, white helmet over white jersey and white pants.

Portland State at No. 21 Oregon, 10:30 p.m., BTN. Oregon won 84-0.

• Buffalo: Confirmed, blue helmet, white jersey, blue pants.
• Penn State: Confirmed, navy jersey, white pants, the plain white helmet with no logo and no nameplates.

Tulane at Kansas State, noon, ESPN2. Kansas State won 31-20.

• Tulane: Confirmed, white helmet, white jersey, light blue pants.
• Kansas State: Confirmed, silver Powercat helmet, purple jersey, silver pants, the same combination it has worn all season.

Arizona State vs. Kansas (Wembley Stadium, London), noon, FS1. Arizona State won 24-17.

• Arizona State: Confirmed, the gold Sparky helmet with the maroon facemask and a white jersey, as the designated road team. The Sun Devils announced maroon pants with it, and no broadcast frame we have shows the pants.
• Kansas: Confirmed, blue on blue on blue. Blue helmet with the Jayhawk and a red facemask, blue jersey reading KANSAS across the chest, blue pants, as the designated home team in the first college football game at Wembley. adidas is the event partner and supplies both teams.

Mercer at Georgia Tech, noon, ACC Network. Georgia Tech won 44-11.

• Mercer: white.
• Georgia Tech: Confirmed, gold helmet, gold jersey, black pants.

North Carolina at Clemson, noon, ESPN. Suspended by weather in the third quarter with North Carolina up 17-15, and Clemson came back to win 28-20.

• North Carolina: Confirmed, Carolina blue helmet, white jersey, Carolina blue pants.
• Clemson: Confirmed, orange Tiger Paw helmet, orange jersey, white pants.

Eastern Michigan at Wisconsin, 12:30 p.m., Peacock. Wisconsin won 54-10.

• Eastern Michigan: white expected. We have not seen a clear frame of the Eagles.

Kentucky at No. 9 Texas A&M, 3:30 p.m., ESPN. Kentucky won 31-21.

• Kentucky: Confirmed, all white, its first white of the season, the same Week 3 uniform combo it posted.
• Texas A&M: Confirmed, maroon jersey over maroon pants, the darker version of the home look rather than the usual white pants. The camo Honor and Support set is scheduled for Arkansas on October 3, not this game.

Florida State at No. 10 Alabama, 3:30 p.m., ABC. Alabama won 50-36.

• Florida State: Confirmed, gold helmet, white jersey, garnet pants. That answers the biggest open uniform question of the week. Gold is the traditional road pairing and FSU went garnet instead, the same call it made at Stanford last season.
• Alabama: Confirmed, crimson helmet with the player's number, crimson jersey, white pants, the only home look Alabama owns.

No. 12 USC at Rutgers, 3:30 p.m., CBS. USC won 42-35.

• USC: Confirmed, cardinal helmet, white jersey, gold pants.

• Mississippi State: Confirmed, maroon helmet, white jersey, white pants. The shell is the detail: we had the road set down with a white helmet, and the Bulldogs went maroon.
• South Carolina: Confirmed, garnet head to toe. Garnet helmet, garnet jersey and garnet pants for the SEC opener, not the white pants we expected. Last week the Gamecocks wore black with a one-night Cocky helmet.

• Nebraska: Confirmed, white Block N helmet, scarlet jersey, white pants, for the Ag Day game, a third straight week in the same set. The black alternate does not arrive until October 31.

Eastern Washington at Washington, 7:15 p.m., BTN. Washington won 48-16.

• Eastern Washington: Confirmed, white jersey with red and black.
• Washington: Confirmed, gold helmet, purple jersey, white pants for Community Day. We expected gold pants, the pairing Washington used in each of its first two games, and the Huskies changed below the belt.

Michigan State at No. 3 Notre Dame, 7:30 p.m., NBC. Notre Dame won 27-10, with the Megaphone Trophy back for the first time since 2017.

• Michigan State: Confirmed, all white, and the helmet is the news: the Spartans wore the white shell with the green Spartan after going to a green helmet with this set on the road last season.
• Notre Dame: Confirmed, gold helmet, navy jersey, gold pants, with the SoFi patch on the chest. NBC produced no ESPN frames, so both are confirmed from Notre Dame's own game photography.

No. 7 LSU at No. 8 Ole Miss, 7:30 p.m., ABC. Ole Miss won 32-24.

• LSU: Confirmed, gold helmet, white jersey, gold pants.
• Ole Miss: Confirmed, POWDER BLUE. Powder blue helmet, powder blue jersey, white pants, the full set and the answer to the week's biggest open uniform question. Red, navy and powder blue were all live and the Rebels never announced it. Vaught-Hemingway painted the end zones powder blue to match.

No. 11 BYU at Colorado State, 7:30 p.m., CBS. BYU won 41-23.

• BYU: Confirmed, white helmet with white facemask, white jersey with navy numbers, white pants, exactly as announced.
• Colorado State: Confirmed, and it is the first look anyone has had at the green home set. Green helmet with gold trim, green jersey, white pants. The Rams never revealed it publicly in their first adidas season, so the broadcast was the debut.

New Mexico at No. 24 Oklahoma, 7:30 p.m., ESPN2. Oklahoma won 14-6.

• New Mexico: Confirmed, white jersey, gray pants.
• Oklahoma: Confirmed, crimson helmet, crimson jersey, white pants. No throwback appeared, though the Wilkinson set came out on a similar September date last season.

West Virginia vs. No. 25 Virginia (Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte), 7:30 p.m., ACC Network. West Virginia won 38-27.

• West Virginia: Confirmed, navy helmet with the gold Flying WV, white jersey, gold pants. The helmet was the open question, navy or the new gloss white, and it was navy.
• Virginia: Confirmed, white, orange, white exactly as announced: white helmet with the orange and navy center stripe, orange jersey, white pants, as the designated home team.

Colorado at Northwestern, 7:30 p.m., FOX. Northwestern won 41-7.

• Colorado: Confirmed, a full road whiteout: white helmet with the gold interlocking CU and a gold facemask, white jersey with COLORADO in gold, white pants.
• Northwestern: Confirmed, purple head to toe: purple helmet with the white N, purple jersey, purple pants. The last game in the temporary lakefront stadium was a candidate for something other than the plain purple set, and it got the plain set. FOX published no frames, so both sides are confirmed from Northwestern's own game photography.

Kennesaw State at No. 15 Tennessee, 7:45 p.m., SEC Network. Tennessee won 42-9.

• Kennesaw State: Confirmed, white jersey, gold pants.
• Tennessee: Confirmed, the "classic home threads" it announced, white helmet with the orange T, orange jersey, white pants. The Smokey Grey Neyland Legacy set is scheduled for Auburn on October 3.

UTSA at No. 1 Texas, 8 p.m., SECN+. Texas won 30-6.

• UTSA: Confirmed, white jersey, navy pants.
• Texas: Confirmed, white Longhorn helmet, burnt orange jersey, white pants, the only home look Texas owns.

Arkansas State at TCU, 8 p.m., ESPNU. TCU won 31-7.

• Arkansas State: Confirmed, black jersey, black pants.
• TCU: Confirmed, the announced new look worn as posted: white helmet with the Frogs script, purple jersey, white pants, to close non-conference play.

Purdue at UCLA (Rose Bowl), 11 p.m., BTN. UCLA won 52-38.

• Purdue: Confirmed, the black helmet, white jersey, white pants it announced.
• UCLA: Confirmed, gold helmet, blue jersey, gold pants for the Big Ten opener.

• Temple at Toledo, Toledo won 49-48 in overtime. Toledo in the midnight blue helmet with the gold facemask, midnight blue jersey and gold pants; Temple in all white.
• Ball State at Liberty, Liberty won 51-15. Liberty skipped the red home set for the navy alternate, navy helmet with the red LU over a navy jersey and white pants, with Ball State in white over red.
• Georgia State at UCF, UCF won 44-30. UCF wore the announced Knightmode head to toe, black helmet, black jersey with gold numerals, black pants.
• UConn at Southern Miss, UConn won 48-20. UConn in all white, its first road game and first game out of navy this season.
• East Carolina at Old Dominion, East Carolina won 20-17. East Carolina in the white helmet with the purple Jolly Roger, white jersey and purple pants, a third different pants call in three games.
• Delaware State at South Florida, USF won 59-17. USF in the white helmet, green jersey and green pants, the first green below the belt in 2026.
• UT Martin at Memphis, Memphis won 45-21. Memphis in the blue helmet, blue jersey and white pants.
• Charlotte at App State, App State won 26-21. App State in all black for Black Saturday, with Charlotte in white. Nothing new appeared on the helmet.
• South Dakota at Boise State, Boise State won 38-24. Boise State in the white helmet, blue jersey and white pants on the blue turf. Fans were asked to wear white; the Broncos stayed in blue.
• East Texas A&M at Tulsa, Tulsa won 42-0. Tulsa debuted its red throwback, gold helmet with the cursive Tulsa script and TULSA'S TEAM on the bumper, red jersey, gold pants.
• Ball State at Liberty, Liberty won 51-15. Liberty in the navy alternate rather than its red home set.
• James Madison at San Diego State, James Madison won 26-13. The Age of the Jaguar reached the field. San Diego State wore the black Ocelotl helmet, the red jersey with black numerals outlined in white and red on red sublimated artwork on the shoulders, and red pants, the first red over red in program history. James Madison answered in head to toe white and switched from the gold helmet it had worn in both home games to the white shell. Confirmed a day late, from San Diego State's own game photography, because The CW fed no frames.

The Five Unconfirmed Games Are Now Confirmed

Five cells were still open on Saturday night, when four broadcasts fed ESPN nothing and a fifth had no usable frame of one team. All five closed on Sunday, every one of them off school photography rather than television. Two earlier-window games, Indiana against Western Kentucky and Iowa against Northern Iowa, are still waiting on a published frame and are marked as expected where they appear above. Colorado at Northwestern came off the list on Sunday: Northwestern posted its own game photography from the lakefront stadium, and it shows the Wildcats in purple head to toe and the Buffaloes in a full road whiteout, white helmet with the gold interlocking CU, white jersey, white pants. Northwestern won 41-7. Fresno State at San Jose State came off it too, from San Jose State's own photography: the Bulldogs in the red helmet, white jersey and red pants that their road look at USC had pointed to, the Spartans in blue over blue, Fresno State 26-10 to keep the Valley Trophy. Arizona answered the open red question: Tre Spivey's postgame interview shows the red jersey, so the Wildcats wore red for their own Hispanic Heritage red-out rather than the navy we had penciled in, and their win graphic puts a white helmet and white pants with it in the 42-17 win over Northern Illinois. Marshall wore white head to toe at Missouri State, white helmet with the green M included, which took two sources: the Herd's own highlight reel with the 17-10 scorebug in frame for the jersey and pants, and Missouri State's game photography for the shell. Marshall won 30-24. And the one that mattered most closed last: Maryland did wear the Los Terps helmet, the red shell with the script wordmark and the accent over the o, over the red home jersey and white pants on Hispanic Heritage Night. Maryland's own photography put two of them at the line of scrimmage at full size. Virginia Tech won 35-26 in head to toe white.

What Was Worn Friday and in the Early Window

Every Friday night reveal held. Wake Forest wore Dark Mode head to toe and lost 33-20 to Miami in all white, Texas Tech wore the Mahomes Let's Ride blackout and beat Houston 28-26 with the Cougars in their Icy Whites, and Oregon wore all green in an 84-0 win over Portland State. Saturday's early window went to form: Georgia in white with silver britches at Arkansas in cardinal, Penn State in navy over white, Kansas State in purple over silver, Ohio State in the core scarlet and silver set with none of its three alternates, and North Carolina in Carolina blue pants at Clemson in orange over white before the weather stopped that one. Arizona State brought the gold Sparky helmet and a white jersey to Wembley and won 24-17, with Kansas in blue on blue on blue as the designated home team.

The Bottom Line

This was billed as a week of standard uniforms with big games, and the standard part did not entirely hold. Both of the real open questions got answered, and both went the less obvious way: Ole Miss came out in the full powder blue set for LSU on GameDay night, with the end zones painted to match, and won 32-24; and Florida State put garnet pants under the gold helmet at Bryant-Denny rather than the traditional gold. What the afternoon and night windows actually produced was a run of pants changes nobody announced: South Carolina went garnet head to toe instead of white pants, Washington swapped gold pants for white, East Carolina put purple under the road whites, USF wore green over green for the first time this year, Liberty skipped its red home set for the navy alternate, and Oklahoma State pulled out the orange shell for the first time in 2026.
