Texas Uniform Schedule 2026: Every Jersey and When the Longhorns Wear It

Wondering what jersey Texas is wearing this week? The answer is easier here than anywhere else in college football, and that is the whole story. This is the full Texas 2026 uniform schedule, game by game, plus why the Longhorns are the one major program you can predict twelve months out.

Texas Has No Alternate Uniforms, and That Is on Purpose

Most of this site exists because programs keep adding jerseys. Texas went the other way. Athletic director Chris Del Conte has said there is "no chance" the Longhorns ever add alternates, and that the only colors in his head are burnt orange and white.

So there is no camo game, no blackout, no throwback week. Texas runs two looks all season:

• Burnt orange jersey, white pants, white helmet. The home set at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
• The icy whites. White jersey, white pants, white helmet, worn on the road. Fans call them the stormtroopers, and they are one of the cleanest road uniforms in the sport precisely because nothing was added to them.

The white helmet with the burnt orange Longhorn silhouette never changes. It is the same shell in both sets.

The Full Texas 2026 Uniform Schedule, Week by Week

Twelve games, zero alternates, and the most predictable wardrobe in college football.

September 5 vs. Texas State, Austin. Home opener. ★ Confirmed: burnt orange jersey, white pants, white helmet with the Longhorn, which is the only home look Texas has. Texas State answered in white.

September 12 vs. Ohio State, Austin. The biggest non-conference game on anyone's schedule this year, at home, in prime time. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: burnt orange jersey, white pants, white helmet, the only home look Texas owns, against Ohio State in white over gray under the silver helmet. Exactly the game the no-alternates policy is for. Texas won 24-23, coming from 23-3 down in the second half.

September 19 vs. UTSA, Austin. Third straight home game. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: white Longhorn helmet, burnt orange jersey, white pants, the only home look Texas owns. UTSA answered in white over navy, and Texas won 30-6.

September 26 at Tennessee, Knoxville. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: the icy whites, white Longhorn helmet, white jersey, white pants, as Texas posted on Thursday. It was the program's first game in Knoxville and the SEC opener. Tennessee wore the white helmet, orange jersey and white pants in front of the checkerboard. Colin Simmons tied the Texas record with five sacks and Texas won 20-17 to move to 4-0. More: Tennessee uniform schedule.

October 3. Open date.

October 10 vs. Oklahoma, Cotton Bowl, Dallas. The Red River rivalry at a neutral site. Texas has traditionally worn white for this one with Oklahoma in crimson, which makes it the one non-road game where the Longhorns are not in burnt orange. Watch for confirmation in game week.

October 17 vs. Florida, Austin. Burnt orange.

October 24 vs. Ole Miss, Austin. Burnt orange.

October 31 vs. Mississippi State, Austin. Burnt orange.

November 7 at Missouri, Columbia. Icy whites.

November 14 at LSU, Baton Rouge. Icy whites, unless LSU elects to wear white at home, which the Tigers do for selected games. That is the one road date that could put Texas in burnt orange.

November 21 vs. Arkansas, Austin. Burnt orange.

November 27 at Texas A&M, College Station. Black Friday, on the road, in a rivalry game that A&M is expected to wear maroon for. Icy whites.

The Two Games Worth Watching

Everything above is close to automatic except two dates. Red River on October 10 is a neutral-site game where Texas has historically taken white, and the LSU trip on November 14 is the road game where the host sometimes wears white and flips the visitor into color. Those are the only two spots on a thirteen-week schedule where the answer is genuinely in question.

The Bottom Line

Texas is the most predictable uniform schedule in college football and the program is proud of it. Burnt orange at home, icy whites on the road, one helmet all year, and no alternates by explicit policy. The only two dates worth checking are Red River on October 10 and the LSU road game on November 14.
