Army Uniform Schedule 2026: Every Jersey and When the Black Knights Wear It

Army does not rotate through alternates the way most programs do. The Black Knights wear black at home, white on the road, and a gold helmet with almost all of them (the exception so far is a black helmet at Temple), and then once a year in December they throw all of it out and wear something built from scratch. This is the full Army 2026 uniform schedule: the black home set, the white road set, the new USAA patch, and a week-by-week outlook for all twelve games ending with the 127th Army-Navy Game at MetLife Stadium. The Army 2026 Uniform Sets

The closet is short on purpose. Army's base uniform is black and gold with almost no ornament, and the gold helmet has not meaningfully changed in decades. The one visible difference for 2026 is sponsorship: USAA signed on as the preservation partner of Army West Point Athletics in June, a five-year deal reported at around $10 million, and that put a USAA patch on the jersey and the company's name on the building. Michie Stadium is now officially Michie Stadium Preserved by USAA, with the logo painted at the 25-yard lines. The patch debuted in the September 5 opener against Bryant and it is on the jersey in every broadcast frame we have checked since.

Everything else about this season comes down to pants. Black jersey with gold pants is the classic. Black jersey with black pants is the darker version Army went to in Week 2. White on the road is locked. And then December is its own category entirely, which is why the last cell in the grid below is the only one we cannot guess at.

The Full Army 2026 Uniform Schedule, Week by Week

September 5 vs. Bryant. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, black jersey, gold pants, the most traditional combination Army owns, for a noon kickoff on CBS Sports Network. Army won 59-3, and this was the debut of the USAA patch on the jersey and the USAA logo on the field.

September 12 vs. South Florida. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, black jersey, black pants, the darker home look, with South Florida in white. The Bulls won 28-24 at Michie Stadium in Army's American Conference opener. Two home games, two different pants, same helmet, which is roughly how the next three months are going to go.

September 19. Bye.

September 25 at Temple. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: black helmet, white jersey, black pants. The white jersey was expected. The helmet was not: Army left the gold shell at home and wore a black one for its first road game of the season, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on a Friday afternoon on ESPN, against Temple in all cherry. Army won 21-17, with Cale Hellums running for three touchdowns, the last one for the late lead, and moved to 2-1.

October 3 at Louisiana Tech, 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+. ★ Confirmed by Army: gold helmet, white jersey, white pants. The gold helmet is back after the black shell at Temple, and the pants go white instead of black, so this is the cleanest road look Army has shown this season: gold on top, white everywhere else. It is a rare non-conference road trip to Ruston, and Louisiana Tech has not announced its uniform yet. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: Army wore the gold helmet, white jersey and white pants it announced. Louisiana Tech wore a red helmet and a blue jersey. Louisiana Tech won 31-29, and Army fell to 2-2.

October 10 vs. Tulane. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, black jersey. The pants were not clear in the frames we saw, so we are leaving that piece off until we can confirm it. Back at Michie Stadium at noon on CBS Sports Network, Army was in black as expected, and Tulane wore a green helmet, white jersey and white pants. October 31 at Memphis. White expected. Halloween at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, kickoff to be announced.

November 7 vs. Air Force. Black expected. The Commander-in-Chief's Trophy game at Michie Stadium, 7:30 p.m. Eastern on CBS, and the only night game Army plays at home all year. Air Force built its 2026 Air Power Legacy Series uniform around the B-21 Raider, but the Falcons wore it against Navy on October 3, so expect Air Force in a more conventional road look here.

November 28 at Rice. White expected. Regular season finale in Houston against a Rice team that switched from adidas to Nike over the offseason and rebuilt its uniform around UCLA stripes.

December 5. The American Conference Championship Game, if Army gets there. Army is 3-2 after five games.

December 12 vs. Navy, MetLife Stadium. This is the whole season. The 127th Army-Navy Game kicks at 3 p.m. Eastern on CBS, presented by USAA, and it is the first time America's Game has been played at MetLife Stadium since 2021. ESPN lists Army as the designated home team, but that convention means almost nothing here, because Army has not worn its regular black jersey in this game in years. Nike builds a bespoke uniform for the Black Knights every December that honors a unit or a chapter of Army history, and it has become the single most anticipated uniform reveal in college football.

What Army Wears Against Navy, and What We Know About 2026

Nothing has been announced. That is the honest answer as of October 4, from either academy, and it is what the calendar would predict: Army's Army-Navy uniform reveal usually lands in mid-November, roughly a month out. Last year the unveiling came on November 13.

The recent run gives you the shape of what is coming. Army honored the 25th Infantry Division in 2020, Special Forces Command in 2021, the 1st Armored Division and the 80th anniversary of Operation Torch in 2022, the 3rd Infantry Division and the opening phase of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2023, and the 101st Airborne Division in 2024, when the helmets carried the card suit markings paratroopers and glider troops used to identify their units after the jump into Normandy. Every one of those was a full head-to-toe build, not a jersey swap.

The 2025 uniform was the largest swing yet. Army and Nike marked 250 years of Army service with an all-white set carrying a subtle marble print on the jersey and pants meant to evoke the headstones at Arlington National Cemetery, a number and nameplate font drawn in the style of the United States Constitution, and purple running through the numerals and along the helmet as a nod to the Badge of Military Merit, the forerunner of the Purple Heart.

Navy lost none of that arms race, which is why the joint reveal has become an event of its own. For 2026 we are not going to guess at a unit, a color or a helmet finish. When the reveal drops we will star the December cell and write the whole thing up.
