Tulsa Uniform Schedule 2026: Every Jersey and When the Golden Hurricane Wear It

Tulsa is 2-0 for the first time since 2015, it has beaten Oklahoma State two years running, and on Wednesday the program dropped a red jersey that nobody saw coming. This is the full Tulsa 2026 uniform schedule: the royal blue home set, the white road set, the gold helmet that goes with everything, the new red throwback, and a week-by-week outlook for all twelve games, including a Thursday night game against North Texas and a Friday night game against Army. We update this page as each combination is confirmed.

The Tulsa 2026 Uniform Sets

Tulsa is an adidas school, and the base look is one of the more settled in the American: gold helmet, gold pants, and a blue or white jersey depending on who is home. The script wordmark carries across the helmet and the chest, which gives the whole thing a vintage feel even in the standard set. Both games so far have used the same gold helmet and the same gold pants, so on a normal Saturday the only real variable is the jersey color.

The opener was the second straight Tulsa win over Oklahoma State and the first home win in the series since 1998. Tulsa wore blue at home and the Cowboys came in all white.

The New Red Throwback

On Wednesday, September 16, Tulsa posted a photo set with the caption "Nothing like a classic look," and the uniform in it is red. The jersey is a bright red with plain white block numerals, a royal blue band on the sleeve cap framed by thin gold stripes, and the adidas mark on the chest. The pants are gold. The shoot was staged at a vintage filling station with an old Phillips 66 pump and a classic Chevy convertible, which is hard to miss in the year Route 66 turns 100. The Mother Road runs straight through Tulsa.

Crimson is one of Tulsa's three school colors alongside royal blue and gold, but it usually lives in the trim and the logo, not the body of the jersey, which is what makes this one land. Tulsa never said which game it was for. We called the next home date, Saturday against East Texas A&M on Senior Day and Parent and Family Weekend, as the most natural spot, and that is where it landed. The same week the program posted a video titled "Stepping into a time machine" and another called "The making of the helmet," and the answer on the helmet turned out to be the everyday gold shell: cursive Tulsa script on the side, a red and blue center stripe, and TULSA'S TEAM across the back bumper.

Tulsa also brought back its city flag helmet for 918 Day on September 18, the gold shell with the script filled in with the colors of the Tulsa flag that the program first showed off last September.

The Full Tulsa 2026 Uniform Schedule, Week by Week

September 5 vs. Oklahoma State. ★ Confirmed from Tulsa's game photography and final score graphic: gold helmet, royal blue jersey, gold pants for the Turnpike Classic at H.A. Chapman Stadium. Oklahoma State wore all white with a white helmet, and Tulsa won 24-10 behind four forced turnovers. We track the other side on our Oklahoma State 2026 uniform schedule.

September 12 at Sam Houston. ★ Confirmed from the team's pregame uniform post and game photography: gold helmet, white jersey, gold pants, against Sam Houston in orange at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium. Tulsa won 23-17 on a fake punt touchdown by a defensive lineman, an 81-yard run from Trequan Jones and a strip sack on fourth down to end it.

September 19 vs. East Texas A&M. ★ THE RED THROWBACK DEBUTED HERE. Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet, red jersey, gold pants. The shell carries the cursive Tulsa script, a red and blue center stripe and TULSA'S TEAM across the back bumper; the jersey has the plain white block numerals and the blue sleeve band framed in gold. Tulsa revealed the set on September 16 without naming a game, and we called this date as the most natural spot for it: a 7 p.m. Central kickoff on ESPN+, the first meeting between the programs, and a stacked promotional night with Senior Day and Parent and Family Weekend. Tulsa won 42-0.

September 26 at Arkansas. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: white helmet with the blue Tulsa script, white jersey, white pants, all white in Fayetteville with Arkansas in cardinal over white. Damari Alston scored the only Tulsa touchdown, Arkansas won 34-6, and the Golden Hurricane took their first loss to fall to 3-1. Our Arkansas 2026 uniform schedule has the Razorbacks side.

October 1 vs. North Texas. Blue expected. Thursday night at 8 p.m. Central on ESPN, the American opener, and a Block Party night at Chapman. North Texas has confirmed a green helmet, white jersey and green pants, the same road look it wore at Indiana, and our North Texas 2026 uniform schedule has what the Mean Green have worn so far.

October 10 at Navy, 2:30 p.m. Central on CBS Sports Network in Annapolis. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: white helmet with the blue Tulsa script, white jersey, white pants, the same all white set Tulsa wore at Arkansas, rather than the gold helmet. Navy wore its standard home set, a gold helmet, navy jersey and gold pants. Tulsa led 20-14 at halftime, but Navy scored 14 in the fourth quarter and won 34-26, and Tulsa fell to 3-3. See our Navy 2026 uniform schedule.

October 17 at Rice, 3:30 p.m. Central (4:30 p.m. ET) on ESPN+ in Houston. ★ Confirmed by Tulsa, billed as "the return of the gold lids": gold helmet with the blue Tulsa script, white jersey, gold pants, after the white helmet at Arkansas and Navy. Every look this week is in our Week 7 uniform guide. Our Rice 2026 uniform schedule has the Owls' side.

October 23 vs. Army. Blue expected. Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Central on ESPN2, and Tulsa lists it as Military Appreciation Night, which is the kind of date programs build a one-off look around. Army should be in white; our Army 2026 uniform schedule tracks the Black Knights.

October 31. Bye.

November 7 at Tulane. White expected. Tulane's Homecoming at Yulman Stadium, with the Green Wave in green. Our Tulane 2026 uniform schedule has their side.

November 14 vs. Florida Atlantic. Blue expected. Homecoming at H.A. Chapman Stadium, and the other home date where the red set would make sense if it does not show up Saturday.

November 21 vs. Charlotte. Blue expected. Tulsa calls this one its Senior Day Celebration and the final home game of the season.

November 27 or 28 at UTSA. White expected. Tulsa says the regular season finale in San Antonio will be played on either Friday, November 27 or Saturday, November 28, with the date set by October 11.

The Bottom Line

Two games, two wins, one helmet and one pair of pants. Tulsa has been as disciplined as it gets with the base set, gold over blue at home and gold over white on the road, and there is no reason to expect that to change on a normal Saturday. The red throwback is the story, and it is a good one: a real school color that rarely gets a jersey of its own, shot on a vintage Route 66 filling station set in the year the highway turns 100. It did not wait. Tulsa put it on against East Texas A&M on September 19, the first home game after the reveal, over the gold helmet and gold pants. The grid above has every game, and we add a star as each combination is confirmed.
