Vanderbilt Uniform Schedule 2026: Every Jersey and When the Commodores Wear It

Vanderbilt added a color to its closet this year and then wore it in Week 2, which means the most interesting question of the Commodores' season has already been answered once and is still not fully settled. This is the full Vanderbilt 2026 uniform schedule: the black home set, the white road set, the gold alternate that debuted against Delaware, the white helmet that started the first two games, the black shell that came out for NC State, and a week-by-week outlook for all twelve games ending with Tennessee at FirstBank Stadium. We update this page as each combination is confirmed.

The Vanderbilt 2026 Uniform Sets

The 2026 story starts on August 5, the first day of fall camp, when Vanderbilt posted a gold uniform under the line "Good to be Gold." It was the first gold jersey the program had put on since 2020 and the first of the Clark Lea era, and the reveal showed the whole thing in gold: helmet, jersey and pants.

The other new thing on the jersey is a patch. Vanderbilt signed an all-sports jersey patch deal with SRM Concrete in July, brokered by Learfield, covering all seventeen sports beginning with the 2026-27 athletic year. SRM is run by Vanderbilt alum Jeff Hollingshead and already had its name on the club area at FirstBank Stadium. It makes Vanderbilt the third SEC program with a patch, after Arkansas with Tyson Foods and LSU with Woodside Energy, and the small black-and-white SRM mark has been on the right side of the chest in every game.

The Full Vanderbilt 2026 Uniform Schedule, Week by Week

September 5 vs. Austin Peay. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast and from the team's own game day graphic: white helmet, black jersey, white pants, exactly what Vanderbilt announced two days earlier.

The 6 p.m. Central opener at FirstBank Stadium never finished. Lightning in the area stopped it and the two head coaches agreed not to resume, with Vanderbilt ahead 28-9. That is the official final.

September 12 vs. Delaware. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: white helmet, gold jersey, white pants. This is the one worth reading twice. Vanderbilt promoted the game as a Gold Out, gave replica gold jerseys to the first 8,000 fans through the gates, and told everyone in the building to wear gold, and then the team itself did not go head to toe. The gold jersey came out with the white shell and the white pants instead of the gold helmet and gold pants from the August reveal, which means the full all-gold look Vanderbilt showed the world still has not actually been worn in a game. Our full breakdown and grade of the gold uniform covers the reveal itself. Vanderbilt won 35-26.

September 19 vs. NC State. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: black helmet with the white V, black jersey, white pants. That answers the helmet question we had going in, because the white shell that started the first two games came off for the first Power Four opponent of the year and the black one went on. NC State visited in the red helmet, white jersey and white pants, so Vanderbilt was the only color on the field. The Commodores trailed 24-7, scored 21 in the fourth quarter and won 35-31, and the Wolfpack side is on the NC State 2026 uniform schedule.

September 26 at Auburn. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: gold helmet with the V, white jersey with gold numbers, white pants for the SEC opener at Jordan-Hare Stadium, against Auburn in the white helmet, navy jersey and white pants. Brock Taylor kicked three field goals and Sedrick Alexander ran for a touchdown, but a blocked punt returned for a score was the difference, and Vanderbilt lost 21-15 to fall to 3-1. See the Auburn 2026 uniform schedule for the other side of that field.

October 3 at Georgia, 12:45 p.m. ET on SEC Network. ★ Confirmed by Vanderbilt: white helmet, white jersey, black pants. The Commodores posted it as the "Game 5 Fit," and it is the first time this season the pants are anything but white, after four straight games in white pants. The white shell is back after the gold helmet at Auburn, so it is a white top half over black legs at Sanford Stadium. Georgia is expected in its standard home look, red helmet, red jersey and silver britches, so there is no color clash anywhere on the field. ★ The broadcast matches: white helmet, white jersey, black pants, worn as posted, and Georgia wore the red helmet, red jersey and silver britches. Backup quarterback Blaze Berlowitz hit Junior Sherrill for a 60-yard touchdown to tie it 7-7, but No. 2 Georgia scored the next 21 points and won 38-14. Vanderbilt fell to 3-2.

October 10 vs. Ole Miss, 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: black helmet with the gold stripe and the V, black jersey with gold numbers, black pants, all black for the first SEC home game of the season. Black was the expected jersey, and the gold alternate did not come out. No. 9 Ole Miss wore the powder blue helmet with the red center stripe and the Ole Miss script, a white jersey with powder blue numbers and white pants. Ole Miss led 42-3 at halftime and won 52-17, and Vanderbilt fell to 3-3. The Ole Miss 2026 uniform schedule tracks the visitors.

October 17 vs. Arkansas, 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2. ★ Confirmed by Vanderbilt: white helmet, black jersey, white pants. Arkansas is confirmed in a cardinal helmet, white jersey and white pants. Every look this week is in our Week 7 uniform guide. Two of the three SEC teams with jersey patches on the same field. Arkansas 2026 uniform schedule.

October 24 at Kentucky. White expected. Kroger Field is where Vanderbilt last wore gold jerseys, in a 2020 loss, which makes this the most sentimental possible spot for the gold to travel. Road rules say white. Kentucky 2026 uniform schedule.

October 31. Bye.

November 7 at Mississippi State. White expected. Davis Wade Stadium, and the Mississippi State 2026 uniform schedule covers the maroon side.

November 14 vs. Alabama. Black expected. The biggest home date on the calendar and the most likely slot for something special if Vanderbilt has anything left in the equipment room. Alabama 2026 uniform schedule.

November 21 at Florida. White expected. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Florida 2026 uniform schedule.

November 28 vs. Tennessee. Black expected. Senior Day, the rivalry game, and the season finale at FirstBank Stadium all at once. Tennessee 2026 uniform schedule.

The Bottom Line

Vanderbilt is six games into 2026 and has already worn three different jerseys, three helmets and two colors of pants. White pants started the first four games before black pants came out at Georgia and again in the all-black look against Ole Miss, the black home jersey is the default, white is locked on the road because the SEC says so, and the gold is the variable. The helmet question got its first real answer against NC State, when the white shell that opened the year gave way to the black one. The strange part is that the gold has been worn and the reveal still has not happened, because the helmet and the pants stayed white when the jersey went gold. Ole Miss came and went in all black, so Alabama on November 14 is the home date to circle if you want to see the whole thing at once. The grid above has every game, and we fill in the stars as each combination is confirmed.
