Temple Uniform Schedule 2026: Every Jersey and When the Owls Wear It

Temple owns one of the cleanest two color closets in college football and mixes it four ways. This is the full Temple 2026 uniform schedule: the cherry jersey, the white jersey, the cherry helmet, the white helmet, the diamond striping that runs through all of it, and a week by week outlook for every game. Six games in, the Owls have worn five different combinations. We update this page as each combination is confirmed.

The Temple 2026 Uniform Sets

Temple's kit is Nike, and the current version arrived in July 2025 for K.C. Keeler's first season. It was the first redesign since the school's Nike partnership began in 2020, and the idea behind it is a single motif repeated everywhere: diamonds, for the corner of 10th and Diamond Streets where Temple's football complex sits.

The diamonds run down the center of both helmets, down the outside of both pants, and around the collar of both jerseys. The secondary logo moved to the chest plate, and the front bumper above the facemask, which used to read TUFF, now reads OWLS. That is the whole system. Two jerseys, two helmets, two pants, one shape holding it together, and no black set, no alternate, nothing extra bolted on.

Which means the variety here is all in the mixing, and Temple mixes a lot. In 2025 alone the Owls ran all cherry with the white helmet, white over cherry with the cherry helmet, and the white on white look the equipment staff calls the Icy Whites. The program announces the pick most game weeks with a graphic on its own account.

Keeler is in year two, the Owls open at home twice at Lincoln Financial Field, and the 2026 schedule landed in February.

American Conference home teams wear color and visitors wear white, so every road cell below starts in white. Every home cell is a two part question: cherry or white jersey, and which helmet goes on top.

The Full Temple 2026 Uniform Schedule, Week by Week

September 5 vs. Rhode Island. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: white helmet, cherry jersey, white pants, the cherry diamonds on the pant leg reading hard against the white in afternoon sun at Lincoln Financial Field. Temple won 38-14 over a Rams team ranked sixth in the FCS poll.

September 12 vs. Penn State. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: cherry helmet, cherry jersey, white pants, cherry on cherry with the white diamond chain down the crown for the biggest home date on the schedule. Penn State went all white and won 27-9.

September 19 at Toledo. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: white helmet, white jersey, white pants, the full road whites with the cherry trim. Toledo wore its midnight blue jersey and gold pants at home and won 49-48 after stopping Temple's two-point conversion in overtime.

September 25 vs. Army. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: cherry helmet, cherry jersey, cherry pants, the full monochrome, with the white diamond chain down the crown of the helmet, for a Friday afternoon home game on ESPN. Army wore a black helmet, white jersey and black pants. Temple lost 21-17 in its American Conference opener, after Colin Chase tied it with a 67-yard touchdown catch, and fell to 1-3.

October 3 at South Florida. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: white helmet with the cherry diamond chain, cherry jersey, cherry pants. Temple wore color on the road because USF went white at home, a white helmet, white jersey and gold pants, instead of the green we had penciled in. Temple trailed 13-10 in the fourth quarter, then Ajani Sheppard broke a 34-yard touchdown run, and the Owls won 17-13 to hand USF its first loss. Temple is 2-3. More: South Florida uniform schedule.

October 10 vs. UConn. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: cherry helmet with the white T, cherry jersey, white pants, the same combination Temple wore against Penn State. Cherry was expected, and the Owls were back home at Lincoln Financial Field after two weeks away, a 3:45 p.m. Eastern kickoff on ESPNU. UConn wore a navy helmet, white jersey and navy pants. UConn led 24-17 at halftime and won 34-20, and Temple is 2-4. More: UConn uniform schedule.

October 17 vs. Charlotte. Cherry expected. The middle of a three game home stretch.

October 24. Bye.

October 31 at East Carolina. White expected. Halloween in Greenville, with the Pirates in purple. More: East Carolina uniform schedule.

November 7 at Navy. White expected. A 3:30 p.m. Eastern game at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on CBS Sports Network. Navy is one of the most unpredictable uniform programs in the country, so the color clash on this one is worth watching.

November 14 vs. UAB. Cherry expected. Senior weekend territory, and a good candidate for the cherry pants if Temple wants the full monochrome.

November 19 vs. Rice. Cherry expected. A Thursday night at the Linc on ESPN, the last home game of the season, and the single most likely date for something special.

November 27 or 28 at Memphis. White expected. The regular season finale, and the date genuinely is not locked: the conference still has to sort the Thanksgiving weekend windows, and Memphis lists it as November 27 or 28 on its own schedule.

The Bottom Line

Temple does not need an alternate. The diamond system gives the equipment staff a long list of clean combinations out of two jerseys, two helmets and two pants, and the Owls have used five different ones in six games. Cherry is the home default, white is locked in on the road, and the interesting question every Saturday is which shell goes on top and whether the cherry pants come out. The Friday afternoon against Army brought out the full cherry monochrome. The date we are watching hardest now is the Thursday night finale at home against Rice, because that is the window programs save their best looks for. The grid above has every game, and we add a star as each combination is confirmed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What jersey is Temple wearing this week?

Temple wore the cherry helmet with the white T, the cherry jersey and white pants against UConn on Saturday, October 10, confirmed from the broadcast, and lost 34-20 to fall to 2-4. A week earlier the Owls wore the white helmet, cherry jersey and cherry pants at South Florida and won 17-13. Next is Charlotte at home on October 17, where cherry is expected. The grid above lists every game with the expected set, and we update it as combinations are confirmed.

What are Temple's football uniforms for 2026?

A cherry jersey with white numerals and a white diamond collar, a white jersey with cherry numerals and a cherry diamond collar, a cherry helmet with white diamonds down the center, a white helmet with cherry diamonds down the center, and two pants in the same two colors. It is all Nike, and the design dates to the July 2025 redesign that brought the diamond motif in.

Why does Temple have diamonds on its uniforms?

Temple's football complex, Edberg-Olson Hall, sits at the corner of 10th and Diamond Streets in North Philadelphia. The 2025 Nike redesign turned that into the identity: diamonds down the helmet center, down the outside of the pant legs and around the jersey collars.

Does Temple have an alternate uniform in 2026?

Nothing announced. Temple's closet is two jerseys, two helmets and two pants, all in cherry and white, and the Owls get their variety by mixing rather than by adding a third color. If a special set shows up, the most likely landing spot is the Thursday night home finale against Rice on November 19, and we will add it to this page.

What did Temple wear against Penn State?

The cherry helmet with the white diamond stripe, the cherry jersey and white pants, at Lincoln Financial Field on September 12. Penn State wore its all white road set and won 27-9.

How many games does Temple play in 2026?

Twelve regular season games: seven at Lincoln Financial Field and five on the road, with a bye on October 24. The full slate with expected uniforms is in the grid above.
