Utah Uniform Schedule 2026: Every Jersey and When the Utes Wear It

Utah opened 2026 in all red twice and then broke out the Ute Proud look against Utah State on September 19, a white helmet with tribal interlocking U's over a red jersey and red pants, in a 33-0 win. This is the full Utah 2026 uniform schedule: the red home set, the white road set, the black alternate, the Ute Proud look and a week-by-week outlook for all twelve games. We update this page as each combination is confirmed.

The Utah 2026 Uniform Sets

Utah treats the helmet as the variable. The jersey is almost always red at home and white on the road, but the shell and the logo on it change week to week, and the program runs a hand-painted helmet game every season since 2016 except 2020: the "Mālama Lahaina" Polynesian tribute against Iowa State in 2024, and a black circle and feather design for the all-black Dark Mode game against Cincinnati in 2025. The other change this year is commercial. Utah is wearing its first jersey patch, from University of Utah Health, and the ALKEME helmet bumper logo, both of which debuted in the opener against Idaho. This is also Morgan Scalley's first season as head coach after Kyle Whittingham, so the closet is the one constant. Big 12 home teams wear color and visitors wear white, which makes the road dates predictable and the home dates a question of theme.

The Full Utah 2026 Uniform Schedule, Week by Week

September 3 vs. Idaho. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast and Utah's own reveal: red helmet, red jersey, red pants, the all-red combination for a Thursday night opener at Rice-Eccles Stadium, with the new University of Utah Health jersey patch and ALKEME helmet bumper making their debut. Idaho wore black helmets, white jerseys and black pants. Utah won 66-14. ESPN files this game under September 4 because its feed runs on UTC; the 7 p.m. Mountain kickoff was Thursday, September 3.

September 12 vs. Arkansas. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: all red again, red helmet, red jersey, red pants, for the Red Out and Eric Weddle's Ring of Honor induction. Arkansas came in all white, white helmets, white jerseys and white pants, so the SEC visit looked like a clean red-versus-white split under the lights. Utah won 43-10. Same calendar note: the 8:15 p.m. Mountain kickoff shows as September 13 on ESPN.

September 19 vs. Utah State. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: the Ute Proud set, a white helmet with the tribal interlocking U's on the side and a black, white and red tribal stripe down the center, a red jersey and red pants. Utah State answered in a navy helmet with a white jersey and white pants, and Utah won 33-0. Utah revealed the look on Wednesday. The athletic department lists this as the Ute Proud and Hall of Fame game, 1:30 p.m. Mountain on FOX. The Ute Proud helmet was also white with the tribal interlocking U's in each of the last two seasons, over a black throwback jersey against TCU in 2024 and over the red throwback jersey and red pants against Texas Tech in 2025. We will star the cell once we see it on the field. More: Utah State uniform schedule.

September 26 at Iowa State. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: all red, the red helmet with the drum and feather, red jersey and red pants, as beat coverage reported. First Big 12 road trip, to Jack Trice Stadium, where Iowa State wore its all white Whiteout. Wayshawn Parker ran for a career-high 174 yards and scored three touchdowns, and Utah won 31-17 to move to 4-0. See our Iowa State 2026 uniform schedule.

October 3. Bye.

October 10 vs. Kansas. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: white helmet, white jersey, white pants, all white at home at Rice-Eccles Stadium, where red had been expected. It was an all white look with an ice and snow theme. Kansas wore a black jersey with KANSAS across the chest and black pants; the helmet was not clear enough in the frames we saw to name its color. Utah led 21-17 at halftime, scored 14 in the fourth quarter and won 41-24 to move to 5-0. Kickoff was 8 p.m. Eastern on ESPNEWS. The Jayhawks' side is on our Kansas 2026 uniform schedule.

October 17 at Colorado, 10:15 p.m. Eastern on ESPN. ★ Confirmed by Utah: the icy white set, for the second straight week. On Wednesday Utah posted "One week wasn't enough. Run it back." It is a white helmet covered in a frosty mountain graphic with the Utah script on the side, a white jersey with red trim and white pants with red stripes. The Rumble in the Rockies at Folsom Field, where Colorado is expected in black for Family Weekend and a Gold Rush crowd, with the gold jersey a real possibility. Every Week 7 look is in our Week 7 uniform guide. More on the Buffaloes' options on our Colorado 2026 uniform schedule.

October 24 vs. Houston. Red expected. Homecoming and Parent Family Weekend, a traditional spot for a themed helmet if Utah wants one.

October 31 at Cincinnati. White expected. Halloween at Nippert Stadium. Last season's all-black Dark Mode game with hand-painted helmets came against Cincinnati in Salt Lake City, but this year's meeting is on the road, where Utah wears white.

November 7 vs. BYU. Red expected. The Holy War is billed as a Red Out and Military Appreciation game, and a Red Out makes red the safest call on this page after the Arkansas game went head to toe in it.

November 14 at Arizona. White expected. A November trip to Tucson.

November 21 at TCU. White expected. TCU is expected in purple at home; see our TCU 2026 uniform schedule.

November 27 vs. West Virginia. Red expected. Senior Day on Black Friday, 7 p.m. Mountain on FOX. ESPN shows November 28 because of UTC. Utah has not said which home game gets the 2026 hand-painted helmet, and a home finale is where it landed in 2024.

The Bottom Line

Five games, three looks: Utah went all red three times, including the road trip to Iowa State, swapped the shell for the Ute Proud white tribal helmet against Utah State, and then went all white at home against Kansas. With a Red Out still ahead against BYU, red is still the base of this season. The real uniform stories are the helmets. Somewhere on the remaining home schedule sits the annual hand-painted helmet, with Houston and West Virginia the open candidates. Utah runs the icy white set back at Colorado, and the remaining road dates at Cincinnati, Arizona and TCU are expected in white. The grid above has every date, and we fill in the stars as each uniform is confirmed.
