2026 is the 100th season of Kenan Stadium, which opened in November 1927 and has hosted 551 football games. Carolina is marking it with a commemorative logo built around the Morehead-Patterson Bell Tower set inside the numeral 100, plus a run of stadium upgrades.

The uniform piece of that celebration is a throwback to the 1980 ACC championship team, the 11-1 side that finished ninth in the country and had Lawrence Taylor on it. The throwback runs a Carolina blue helmet with the stairstep UNC mark on the side, two white stripes flanked by thinner navy ones down the crown, a white facemask, and "Carolina" across the chest rather than the current wordmark.
