Syracuse Uniform Schedule 2026: Every Jersey and When the Orange Wear It

Syracuse used to be one of the most unpredictable dressers in the ACC. Under Fran Brown it is one of the most disciplined: navy jerseys at home, white jerseys on the road, orange helmets and orange pants almost every time. That makes the Syracuse uniform schedule easy to read, as long as you know the rule and the one thing that could break it. This is the full Syracuse 2026 uniform schedule: the navy home set, the white road set, the alternates still sitting in the closet, and a week-by-week outlook for all twelve games in Brown's third season. We update this page as each combination is confirmed.

The Syracuse 2026 Uniform Sets

The current Nike set arrived in June 2019 and leaned into tradition: the block S, classic stripes, and a clean navy and orange palette. For a few years after that, Syracuse mixed it up constantly, with orange jerseys, white helmets, all-orange and all-navy looks. Then Fran Brown took over in 2024 and shut it down. When the athletic department wanted the all-orange set for a Friday night game against Stanford that year, Brown said no, and he has been clear that alternates have to be earned. His line: "We have to learn to win in these uniforms." We have not seen a 2026 alternate announced, and the first two games stuck to the standard home set. ACC home teams wear color and visitors wear white, and Syracuse follows that rule to the letter.

The Full Syracuse 2026 Uniform Schedule, Week by Week

September 5 vs. New Hampshire. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: orange helmet, navy jersey, orange pants, the standard home look inside the JMA Wireless Dome. New Hampshire wore white helmets, white jerseys and white pants. Syracuse won 66-3, with Steve Angeli throwing for 263 yards and three touchdowns.

September 12 vs. California. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: orange helmet, navy jersey, orange pants again. Cal was in white. Syracuse led 12-7 at halftime, but the Golden Bears scored a touchdown in each of the last three quarters and won 21-18, the first loss of the season.

September 17 at Pitt (Thursday). ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: orange helmet, white jersey, orange pants, the standard road set. Pitt wore the gold helmet, royal blue jersey and gold pants. Pitt won 27-13, and Syracuse fell to 1-2. A 7:30 p.m. Eastern kickoff on ESPN at Acrisure Stadium. This is the 82nd meeting of the two programs, the longest annual series on Syracuse's schedule, and the Orange have lost 11 straight in Pittsburgh. It is also the start of a 35-day stretch without a home game. The Pitt 2026 uniform schedule tracks the Panthers' side.

September 26. Bye.

October 3 at UConn. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: orange helmet, white jersey, orange pants. UConn did not wear navy at home: the Huskies came out in a navy helmet, red jersey and navy pants for Homecoming. In his first career start, Amari Odom threw five touchdown passes, the last to Umari Hatcher on 4th-and-goal from the 17 in overtime, then ran in the 2-point conversion on the final play, and Syracuse won 42-41 after UConn had scored 27 straight. The Orange are 2-2. More: UConn uniform schedule.

October 10 at Virginia. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: orange helmet, white jersey, orange pants, the standard road set at Scott Stadium, 7:30 p.m. Eastern on ACC Network. Virginia wore the white helmet, navy jersey and white pants. Syracuse led 17-7 at halftime, but Virginia scored 14 in the fourth quarter and won 28-25, and the Orange fell to 2-3. See the Virginia 2026 uniform schedule.

October 17 vs. Louisville. Navy expected. Back in the Dome after five weeks away, with Louisville in white. The Louisville 2026 uniform schedule covers the Cardinals.

October 24 at North Carolina. White expected. Kenan Stadium, with the Tar Heels expected in Carolina blue. See our North Carolina 2026 uniform schedule.

October 31 vs. SMU. Navy expected. Halloween in the Dome, with SMU the visitor in white.

November 7 vs. Clemson. Navy expected. Clemson in white, and two orange helmets on the same field. This is a matchup where an alternate would get noticed, but under Brown we expect the standard set. The Clemson 2026 uniform schedule has the Tigers.

November 14 at NC State. White expected. Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh, kickoff time to be announced, with the Wolfpack in red.

November 21 at Boston College. White expected. Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, the last road game of the year, with BC in maroon.

November 28 vs. Notre Dame. Navy expected. The regular season finale in the Dome against the Irish, who wear white on the road. Notre Dame navy against Syracuse navy would not work, which is why the visitor rule matters here. Our Notre Dame 2026 uniform schedule tracks the Irish side. If Brown ever lets the all-orange set out, a home finale against Notre Dame is the kind of night that would earn it.

The Bottom Line

Syracuse has worn the orange helmet, navy jersey and orange pants in both home games, and the orange helmet, white jersey and orange pants in all three road games, the loss at Pitt, the overtime win at UConn and the 28-25 loss at Virginia. Fran Brown runs the closet like a traditionalist, so the rest of the schedule reads cleanly: navy at home against Louisville, SMU, Clemson and Notre Dame, and white at North Carolina, NC State and Boston College. The only open question is whether the Orange do enough this season to earn the all-orange look, and the home dates against Clemson and Notre Dame are where it would appear. The grid above has every date, and we star each game once the combination is confirmed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What jersey is Syracuse wearing this week?

Syracuse wore the orange helmet, white jersey and orange pants at Virginia on October 10, confirmed from the broadcast, in a 28-25 loss that dropped the Orange to 2-3. The week before, they wore the same road set in a 42-41 overtime win at UConn. Next is Louisville in the Dome on October 17, where navy is expected. We star the grid cell as soon as the combination is confirmed.

What are Syracuse's football uniforms for 2026?

A navy home jersey, a white road jersey, and orange pants, all from Nike, with an orange helmet that carries the navy block S and a navy and white center stripe. The closet also holds an orange jersey, an all-orange set and an all-navy set, but Fran Brown has kept Syracuse in the standard home and road looks since 2024.

Does Syracuse have a new alternate uniform in 2026?

Nothing has been announced. Fran Brown has said alternates like the all-orange set have to be earned, and Syracuse has stuck to navy at home and white on the road under him. If that changes, the home games against Clemson on November 7 and Notre Dame on November 28 are the most likely dates.

Why doesn't Syracuse wear orange jerseys anymore?

Head coach Fran Brown prefers a traditional approach, with one uniform at home and one on the road, and he turned down an all-orange request from the athletic department in 2024. The orange jersey's last notable outing came in 2023, with white helmets and white pants against Western Michigan.

What did Syracuse wear against Cal?

The orange helmet, navy jersey and orange pants. Cal wore white. Syracuse lost 21-18 at the JMA Wireless Dome on September 12.

What did Syracuse wear against New Hampshire?

The same orange, navy and orange combination in the September 5 opener, a 66-3 win.

How many games does Syracuse play in 2026?

Twelve regular season games: six at the JMA Wireless Dome and six on the road, with a bye on September 26. The Pitt game is on a Thursday night. The full schedule with expected uniforms is in the grid above.
