Oklahoma Uniform Schedule 2026: Every Jersey and When the Sooners Wear It

Oklahoma is one of the few blue-blood programs that still keeps an alternate or two in the closet, which makes the Sooners a little harder to predict than Texas or Michigan. This is the full Oklahoma 2026 uniform schedule: the crimson home set, the white road set, the two alternates that could surface on a given Saturday, and a week-by-week outlook for all twelve games. We update this page as each combination is confirmed.

The Oklahoma 2026 Uniform Sets

The crimson helmet is the constant. It sits on top of both standard sets, so the weekly question in Norman is usually just crimson jersey or white jersey, and whether the pants under it are cream or white. The two alternates are the wild cards. The anthracite Unity uniform has come out exactly once a season under Brent Venables, each time at home, and the Bud Wilkinson-era throwback with the logo-free white helmet has appeared in each of the last two seasons. The throwback is set for Kentucky on October 17, the Unity uniform has no 2026 date yet, and the old wood-grain Rough Riders look from the Bring the Wood era is retired, so we list alternates only when the program announces them in game week.

Under the SEC convention the home team wears color and the visitor wears white, which is how every unconfirmed date below is projected.

The Full Oklahoma 2026 Uniform Schedule, Week by Week

September 4 vs. UTEP, Norman. Friday night opener, and Oklahoma won 51-0. Crimson expected as the home set. We have not yet confirmed the pants from a broadcast frame, so this cell stays unstarred until we do.

September 12 at Michigan, Ann Arbor. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: crimson helmet, white jersey, white pants, the standard Sooners road combination, against Michigan in the navy home set with maize pants under the winged helmet. Oklahoma lost 17-10. The Wolverines' side of the day is on our Michigan 2026 uniform schedule.

September 19 vs. New Mexico, Norman. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: crimson helmet, crimson jersey, white pants, the standard home set. No throwback appeared, despite the 2025 Wilkinson throwback having come out on a comparable September Saturday against Kent State. New Mexico wore white over gray, and Oklahoma won 14-6.

September 26 at Georgia, Athens. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: crimson helmet with the interlocking OU, white jersey, white pants, the road set, for the SEC opener between the hedges. Georgia wore the red helmet, red jersey and silver britches. John Mateer threw a touchdown pass to Rocky Beers, but a Mateer fumble went back for a Georgia touchdown, and Oklahoma lost 41-13 to fall to 2-2. See our Georgia 2026 uniform schedule.

October 3. Bye.

October 10 vs. Texas, Cotton Bowl, Dallas. The Red River rivalry at a neutral site, with Oklahoma the designated home team this year. ★ Confirmed from the broadcast: crimson helmet with the white interlocking OU, crimson jersey, white pants, the crimson look the Sooners have traditionally worn in Dallas. No. 1 Texas wore all white, white helmet, white jersey, white pants. Texas led 17-7 at halftime, then Oklahoma scored 17 in the fourth quarter, with a Peyton Bowen pick-six putting the Sooners in front, and won 27-24 to move to 3-2. The Longhorns' side is on our Texas 2026 uniform schedule.

October 17 vs. Kentucky, Norman, 7:30 p.m. Eastern on SEC Network. ★ Confirmed by Oklahoma: the Bud Wilkinson throwback. Oklahoma listed Kentucky as its Throwback game when it released its 2026 game themes in July, and on Thursday it posted the look: a plain white helmet with a single crimson stripe and no logo, a crimson jersey with white numbers and striped sleeves, and white pants. It honors the Sooners' look from 1946 to 1956, the Bud Wilkinson era, when Oklahoma won three national titles. Kentucky has posted its own new look for this game: black helmet, white jersey and black pants. Every Week 7 look is in our Week 7 uniform guide, and the Wildcats' side is on our Kentucky 2026 uniform schedule.

October 24 at Mississippi State, Starkville. White expected. Mississippi State wears maroon at home, so no clash risk here.

October 31 vs. South Carolina, Norman. Crimson expected. Halloween in Norman is a plausible spot for the anthracite Unity alternate, which has always appeared at home, but nothing is announced.

November 7 at Florida, Gainesville. White expected. Florida wears blue or orange at home, so this projects as the standard white road set. We will confirm in game week.

November 14 vs. Ole Miss, Norman. Crimson expected.

November 21 vs. Texas A&M, Norman. Crimson expected. Senior day and the home finale, another candidate date for an alternate if the program holds one back.

November 28 at Missouri, Columbia. White expected. Regular season finale on the road, and Missouri wears black or gold at home, so the Sooners' white is the safe projection.

The Bottom Line

Crimson at home, white on the road, the same crimson helmet on both, and one or two alternate weeks that Oklahoma announces on short notice. The Red River game on October 10 went as expected: crimson helmet, crimson jersey and white pants against Texas in all white, in a 27-24 win. The Wilkinson throwback is set for Kentucky on October 17, so the date left to watch is whichever home Saturday gets the anthracite Unity jersey.
