It is the first time the orange shell has come out in 2026 after two games under the white one, and the third distinct combination in three weeks, which is the whole point of this page. Family Weekend, with an FCS visitor making its first trip to Stillwater, and Oklahoma State won 59-0.

September 26 at West Virginia. ★ Confirmed pregame and confirmed from the broadcast: black helmet with the orange OSU brand, white jersey, black pants, posted as a Week 4 uni drop and the first black helmet and black pants of the season. Orange had been expected for Stripe the Stadium night, and the Cowboys came out in the black jersey instead, the first black jersey of the season. October 24 vs. Colorado. Orange expected. America's Greatest Homecoming. This is the date to watch: Homecoming has drawn special looks before, including the black Oklahoma A&M throwback for the 125th anniversary in 2024, and nothing has been announced for 2026. If a one-off uniform is coming this season, this is the likeliest week.

October 31 at Iowa State. White expected. The first Halloween road game since 2015, in Ames, at the start of the only back-to-back road stretch on the schedule. Black jerseys on Halloween would be very on brand for this program, but that is a guess, not a report.

November 7 at Kansas State. White expected. The 17th straight season against Kansas State, the longest active streak against any Cowboy opponent.

November 14 vs. Texas Tech. Orange expected. Salute to Service, against Texas Tech, a 2025 College Football Playoff team visiting Stillwater. Military appreciation weeks often bring helmet decals or a special detail rather than a whole new uniform.

November 21 at Arizona State. White expected. Tempe, the fifth trip to Arizona in six seasons.

November 28 vs. Kansas. Orange expected. Senior Day and the regular-season finale. Bedlam is not on the schedule, so this is the last home look of the year.
